Town of Estes Park Vacation Home Business License #3174
This beautiful four-year-old home ("Fish Creek Estes Vacation Home") with 3 BR and 3.5 BA, backs up to Fish Creek and has stunning 180-degree views of Fish Creek, the golf course and mountains, including Long's Peak, Mummy Range and Continental Divide and Fish Creek. See more photos and info on our social media pages.
The open-plan main floor (living/dining area, kitchen, half-bath, master bedroom and bath) has oak floors, vaulted ceilings, large windows and a beautiful 12x16 deck with log railings.
The down-filled leather couch in the living area provides comfortable seating opposite the fireplace hearth. There are two swivel chairs at the end of the couch that can face inward to the conversation area or out to the view. The coffee table drawers contain cards, dice and a few other games. The dining table seats up to 8 and there are also two bar stools at the granite peninsula in the kitchen.
The custom-designed kitchen has knotty alder cabinets, granite countertops, limestone tile backsplash and stainless steel Bosch appliances (with a gas stove). The kitchen has been very well outfitted to accommodate guests who love to cook. A Weber gas grill is available on the deck, which has a table and seating for eight as well.
Details that add to the ambiance of the main floor include a fireplace of local stacked stone, a hand-hewn log fireplace mantel, and the railing to the lower level is made of rough hand-hewn logs.
The 12x16 foot deck has breathtaking views. Though the neighborhood homes are fairly close together, the decks are not visible from the other houses. Enjoy as many moments of the day as possible in this awe-inspiring outdoor 'dining room' where the sunsets and wildlife add to the enjoyment. (Elk and deer are frequent visitors!).
The master bedroom (on the main level) has a picture window framing the view of Longs Peak to the south and another window with a view to the Mummy Range to the west. There is a down comforter on the rustic mahogany-colored queen sleigh bed. There is also a dresser and a TV with a DVD player and internet for Netflix, etc. The master bath has two sinks, a glass walk-in shower, a soaking tub and is tiled in a neutral shade. A large walk-in closet and a linen closet provide plenty of shelf and hanging space.
The lower level (second living area, two guest bedrooms, two full baths and a laundry room) provides more comfortable space for guests to gather or retreat. It has a sleeper sofa and loveseat and marble-topped coffee tables. The large flat-screen TV is connected to an Apple TV. There is also a collection of puzzles and games to entertain family and friends on a rainy afternoon or in the evening.
The two guest bedrooms (one with queen bed, one with twins that can be made into bunks - both with down comforters) each have their own attached baths; one of the baths also has access from the family room. The countertops, floors and tub surrounds are all tiled, with a multi-colored mosaic backsplash, and vanities are of knotty alder. All beds have down pillows and synthetic pillows for guests who prefer one or the other.
The laundry room has a Samsung front-load washer and dryer and there is also a drying rack, iron and ironing board.
The lower level opens onto a 12 x 16 foot patio under the deck that has more wonderful views of the golf course and the mountains beyond, and access to the creek.
This home is a few minutes from the town and is about a 5-minute walk to the Estes Park Golf Clubhouse. Lake Estes is less than a mile away and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is about 10 minutes by car. It is a 5-minute drive up Fish Creek Road to Mary's Lake, or another couple minutes to the beautiful Lily Lake and a delightful .8 mile walk around the lake - perfect with young children. Or take the hike to side of Lily Lake that provides a bit more exercise and even better views. There is excellent rock climbing in 'Jurassic Park' above Lily Lake as well as all across Mummy Range.
In general, the options for visitors to Fish Creek Vacation Home and Estes Park are guaranteed to provide many wonderful memories for years to come.
Since we back up to Fish Creek, we are frequently asked about the effect of the 2013 flood on our home. The home itself sustained no damage. Construction on the walking path and the creek restoration is complete. Check our social media pages for updated info.
