Weekend in Carcassonne

We really enjoyed the views across the historic medieval city and being able to see them sat out on the balcony. Our host was very welcoming and we would be happy to return on another trip.

Just the perfect place p

It is the perfect place for a holiday. Lovely hosts ,perfect view of the castle and mountains, peaceful garden five minutes drive to city center. I recommend it. 5 star.

Early trip to Carcassonne.

This was our third holiday in Carcassonne, and our second in this property. As last time the accommodation was clean and well presented. The property is within walking distance of the city center (just), and railway station, but a car would be beneficial (you can hire one opposite the airport) as there are several large hypermarkets close by and lots of attractions outside the city. We'll definitely be returning next year, I'm missing the amazing view of the city and mountains already.

Great host

We really enjoyed our stay in Carcassonne. We read all the reviews, some of which included the fact that a car was essential. We love to walk, which was just as well. Because of this, we didn’t miss being able to drive around the area.. We did hire bikes though, so we were still able to travel further afield. One of the main reasons we loved our trip, was Armand. What a lovely guy. He couldn’t do enough for us and for that reason we would love to return.

Wonderful place in an unbeatable position

It is a lovely, very spacious flat with everything you need. But what makes this place so special is the balcony from which you have the most amazing view of Carcassone, especially at night when it is illuminated. But also the little balcony in front of the bedroom overgrown with bougainvillea is very enchanting. Armand is a very charming landlord, looks after his guests very well, and is always available when needed, but never intrusive. When we arrived in the beginning of January the flat was warm and the fridge already filled with all things necessary for breakfast, and also a good bottle of wine was waiting for us. Internet is fast and strong. Perfect place to visit Carcassone and the Cathar country.

A quiet hideaway with a view!

A warm welcome from Armand, with the added touch of flowers & wine. The apartment was a little old fashioned but the view from the verandah towards the Cite was fabulous and certainly made the stay special. However do beware that you are likely to get bitten by mosquitoes. You cannot get to the canal, despite it being below the house, as it is too overgrown. You can walk into the city but its at least a kilometre from the house along rue Achille Rouquet to Rue Buffon and then downhill towards the station, however after a long day exploring the city it is a long slog back. We would recommend using the underground parking at Gambetta, safe, secure, clean & reasonably cheap. There is a number of hypermarkets close, by car and a boulangerie at the end of rue Achille Rouquet.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis. L'appartement est très bien placé pour visiter Carcassonne et ses environs. Le calme et la verdure tout autour est un vrai plus.

Ein Rückblick mit sehr guter Erinnerung

Tolle Ferienwohnung, groß und mit Charakter. Alles da was man sich wünscht und braucht. Besonders angenehm der sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Unser Aufenthalt war klasse. Besonders gefällt auch der Balkon mit Ausblick auf die etwas entfernte Cite.

Appartement très agréable propre et fonctionnel. Accueil irréprochable du propriétaire très sympathique. Carcassonne très riche en culture de part sa citee, ses montagnes, chateaux et canal du midi. De superbes randonnées pédestres avec un paysage magnifique au coeur de la nature.

Appartement conforme aux photos de l'annonce. Très bien équipé. Calme car hors de la ville. Vue imprenable sur la Cité d'où nous avons pu admirer le feu d'artifice du 14 juillet sans les embouteillages. Propriétaire sympathique, serviable si besoin mais très discrèt. Merci à lui. Bref, un séjour de 10 jours "comme à la maison " .

Coin super, entouré de jolie jardins et nature. Nous avons passé beaucoup d’heures sur la terras avec un verre en écoutant les oiseaux et regardant la vue. Chaque matin nous avons mangé du pain et des croissants du boulanger (seulement 15 min à pieds). L’appartement a tout les appareils pour rendre la vie facile et le propriétaire est très disponible. Merci pour 9 journées magnifiques!

Vacances en famille

Nous avons eux la chance de séjourner dans se jolie appartement avec une vue imprenable sur la cité. Très belle appartements fonctionnelle spacieux,tous confort. Il ne manquait rien du linge de lit et de toilette fournie plus des petites attentions. Nous avons été accueillis par Monsieur Asquini propriétaire des lieux . Monsieur très gentil. Nous étions au calme sans être loin du centre ville. Nous y reviendrons c'est sûr. Je recommande vivement cette location.

Endroit et terrasse paradisiaque devant la Cité

Quelle belle façon de se déposer après un voyage en avion du Québec , les arbres qui entour le lieu nous submergent le cœur , les fleurs époustouflantes du balcon sont renversantes … et là , tout en beauté et devant nous sur la terrasse, y’a la beauté du monde qui nous accompagne , grande et époustouflante cité médiévale … on a bien dormi, et Monsieur Asquini est immensément gentil !

Ferienaufenthalt in Carcassonne

Umgebung, wie erwartet ( wir haben den Urlaubsort zum zweiten Mal besucht ). Über den Zustand der Fewo ist zu sagen - unsauber, ungepflegt und hygienisch sehr fragwürdig, hinsichtlich Bad, Toilette und Küche. Fotos wurden gefertigt. Wir fragen uns, ob die Fewo kontinuierlich überprüft wird. Es ist fraglich, ob wir nochmals bei Fewo-direkt buchen, eher unwahrscheinlich.

Diese Ferienwohnung war genau die richtige Wahl

Das Ferienhaus mit der Ferienwohnung befindet sich auf einem großen Grundstück mit mindestens 2 Häusern ganz am Ende der Rue Achille Rouquet noch nach einem "Einfahrt verboten, außer Anlieger"-Schild. Es geht durch ein großes Tor und vorbei am ersten Haus bis zum Schild CléVacances. Dann ist es das Haus rechter Hand. Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in der 1. Etage (das Erdgeschoss wird wohl auch vermietet). Der Eingang befindet sich auf der Rückseite. Zum Ausladen kann man bis zum Eingang fahren (aber nur für kleine Autos geeignet), sonst ist der Platz zum Parken nur 20 m entfernt. Da das Haus an einem Hang steht, gibt es an der Haustür nur ein paar Stufen. Gleich nebenan wohnt der Vermieter, ein sehr netter älterer Herr. Wir wurden von ihm begrüßt und er zeigte uns ausführlich die Ferienwohnung. Die Kommunikation ist am besten auf französisch, bei anderen Sprachen erfolgt die Kommunikation über eine App und zieht sich etwas, was aber völlig in Ordnung ist. Die Ferienwohnung ist komplett eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Es war alles vorhanden, was wir brauchten. Alles war in gutem Zustand, auch wenn es schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen war, außer die technischen Geräte, die fast alle neu waren. Es war sehr gemütlich, so dass wir uns sofort wohlfühlten. Vom Esstisch aus hatten wir einen herrlichen Blick auf Carcassonne und auf die Cité. Zur Begrüßung befand sich auch eine gute Flasche Wein im Kühlschrank.

Séjour 3 nuits - Feu d'artifice 14 juillet 2023

Notre hôte Armand Asquini est très sympathique et discret. Son appartement est propre, spacieux et bien agencé. Rien ne manque, vaisselle, linge de maison, serviettes, produits de 1ère nécessité (condiments et produits ménagers). Nous avons pu voir le feu d'artifice de la terrasse où nous avons pris tous nos repas. Même sans climatisation nous n'avons pas souffert de la chaleur car logement bien isolé. L'appartement est conforme à la description sur Abritel. Un grand merci à notre hôte pour ses petites attentions à notre arrivée (fleurs, vin blanc, eau evian fraîche...et bonbons) 👍
