Our comfortable condo invites you to rest in every way. From the new queen size bed and flat screen TV to the incredible view of the ocean and sunset on the lanai, you will relax, unwind and let your stress melt away. We are a short walk to many lonely beaches including the third longest secluded beach in the world. Our favorite beach is a short 15 minute walk and where several scenes of Pirates Of the Caribbean were filmed. The snorkeling and shelling at this beach is great and there is a good chance you will be the only people there. We have an ice chest and beach chairs available for your use. The beach in front and a little to the right of the condo complex is an excellent surfing area. Looking slightly to the left from our lanai is a rocky area called Kiaka Rock where huge waves crash and spray. The sound is amazing and so relaxing. The trade winds blow comfortably through the condo. With the feel of the breeze and the sound of the ocean you'll want to read a book and take a nap. The kitchen is complete and functional with good grilling equipment, electric stove, full size refrigerator, crock pot, and rice cooker. The upstairs bedroom is private and relaxing with windows that open to the cool trade winds. We are surrounded by a large green lawn and palm trees. A few steps away is the grilling area with comfortable chairs and good lighting. We have tried very hard to make sure our guests have everything they need for a wonderful getaway. Mahalo

About Randy & Carol McMillan
Christmas of 2013 Carol and I talked about what we would love to do in the coming year. We both said that we wanted to go to a place where we could find a beach where we could be alone and rest. A friend of a friend later told us about his vacation in Molokai and it sounded exactly what we were looking for. We came to Molokai in March of 2014 and immediately fell in love with this place and even more so with each other. So much so that we purchased two condos here at Kepuhii Beach Resort. I have been a commercial real estate broker for 35 years and my job is incredibly stressful. Carol is a homemaker and decorator. We have 5 children and 13 grandchildren with one more on the way. All of our kids and grandkids live in our hometown of Las Cruces, New Mexico. I am a foodie and a wine lover. I was so blessed to find a great wine shop in town and fresh farm produce available year round. I also love venison and grass fed beef, both of which I can direct you to. I met a line fisherman named Jay at the wine shop and he sells me the freshest sushi quality fish I have ever had. I can give you his number if you are interested. Carol is the most hospitable woman I know and she is also a decorator. Our grandkids adore her as do I. We love to take walks on the beach, go snorkeling, drink wine watching the sunset and just reading a book or resting together. Molokai has really been a blessing to both of us. We would love to share it with you.

Why Randy & Carol McMillan chose Maunaloa
Carol and I wanted to be on the beach. Not across the street but on the beach where we could see the water and hear the waves crash. Kepuhi is the closest condo project to the beautiful beaches on the west end of Molokai. The views are wonderful, the water is so blue and you can see whales right from our lanai. The sunsets from our lanai every evening are nothing short of magical. The community grill is well lit and functional and a great place to meet people from all over the world. The landscape is green and lush with so many swaying palm trees. We absolutely love it here.
What makes this Condo unique
Molokai has the longest white sand beach in Hawaii, the highest sea cliffs in the world, a very small population, amazing snorkeling and wonderful weather. The views from our property are stunning and our toughest decision every day is to decide which beach we want to walk to or what do we have for dinner? The freshest fish or the best beef or venison we have ever tasted. Where else could we find this combination but the west end of Molokai.

Very comfortable second floor unit on manicured grounds. The loft bedroom has
good cross ventilation for a restful sleep.
Short stroll to a deserted beach; gorgeous sunsets. We hope to return one day for a longer stay. Molokai is a unique island. Don’t
miss the mule ride down the cliff to Kalaupapa .
Clean and comfortable
We stayed here for one month and really enjoyed our stay. Our third time at Kepuhi beach. The condo was very comfortable for two of us and stocked with plenty of dishes and cooking equipment towels and linens. The loft bedroom stayed quite cool with the Windows and lanai doors left open which we felt safe to do on the second floor. Outside of the condo the grounds are beautifully kept views great and only a short walk to beach and pool. Also we found the people here were really friendly. Great camaraderie if you want it.
A+ hospitality and attention to detail!
There are so many things I loved about this condo:
- A great view and nice balcony that gave shelter from the hot sun or pouring rain (it happens, even in Hawaii).
- Extremely close (3-10 min walk) to several beautiful beaches with the most amazing sunsets!
- A super comfortable bed… I slept like a rock!
- Updated and decorated tastefully
- Little touches like a water pitcher with Brita filter, awesome little “beach blankets” I used for a picnic to Papohaku Beach picnic, and a well-stocked kitchen.
Best of all was my host, Carol. If I would’ve planned ahead, I could have rented one of her fabulous jeeps! But I didn’t plan ahead enough and was carless. My options to get to my next place were an expensive taxi or two busses, but as she was available, Carol offered to drive me instead, giving me Insider’s tips to enjoy the rest of my stay along the way! She was fun, fabulous, and an absolute Godsend!
The condo is spacious with high-grade interior, there's a breathtaking view from the balcony. The resort is well maintained and a very recreative area.
The condo had everything we needed for a short quiet stay.
The owners were friendly, helpful and not obtrusive. The condo was comfortable and the bedroom loft was kept cool with the breeze blowing through the rafters. The fan was noisy but wasn't necessary. I would book here again.
What a magical destination for a mid-winter, three week retreat!
This is a very simple but classy condo. It is cozy and comfortable. It is nicely furnished. Great ocean view. Sunsets are spectacular. Carol and Randy take great pride in their properties. We were so satisfied--we have already made reservations for 2018! Blair and Betty Anderson
The perfect week on Molokai to Carol and I would be to arrive on Saturday early enough to pick up some staples from the grocery store in town. Then pick up a case of great wine from the excellent wine shop across the street. Stop by my friend Jay's house and grab some fresh fish and then Kumu Farms for local fruits and veggies. We arrive at the condo just in time to sit and watch the sun set from our lanai with a good bottle of wine and some homemade sushi. Grilled fish and veggies over rice for dinner and then drift off to sleep to the sound of the waves. Sunday we may go to one of the local churches and then it is beach day. Our favorite beach is a 15 minute walk to where the Pirates of The Caribbean was filmed. The snorkeling and shelling is the best and we are usually there all by ourselves. Monday morning after a breakfast of papaya and pineapple we head to the local slaughter house to buy Molokai grass fed beef. The best steaks and hamburger we have ever had. We head back to the condo and after a nice nap we go to the pool that overlooks the beach and the ocean. A nice swim and a good book is all you will need. Sunset from the Lanai, great steak and veggies from the grill and off to sleep. Tuesday we always go to Molokai Coffee Plantation and Coffee shop where there will be 30 people taking ukelele lessens while others dance a hula to the local music from 10 am to noon. What a joy to sit there with a great cup of java and take it all in. We may have lunch at Paddlers after stopping in the local shops. A quick stop at my friend Jay's for some more fresh fish and back home for a nap and, you got it, wine, sunset, dinner and off to sleep. Wednesday is another great day to go back to the beach for a day of shelling and snorkeling. Thursday morning we are back at the coffee house where they have local entertainment from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Usually a guitar player and a couple of ukelele payers having a great time. A quick drive up the hill to the overlook above Kalaupapa for a scenic walk and a picnic and back home for a nap. You know what is next - sunset, walk on the beach and dinner. Friday we might ride the mules down to Kalaupapa to see the historic leper colony or we might book a snorkel trip with Molokai Fish and Dive. Friday evenings we almost always go to Molokai shores where we sit right next to water and listen to the local ukelele's play. Saturday is a great day to take a drive to the east end of the island and see the rain forest and walk to the water falls. Probably stop back by Jay's for some more fresh fish and back home for another great sunset. On Molokai Carol and I have found beauty, great food, friendly people, but most importantly rest. We hope you enjoy the same.
