Two bedroom apartment with fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities.

A second-storey one bedroom plus den fully equipped apartment in a bank built in 1920. A second bedroom with full size sofa-bed is now available on the ground floor. Your apartment is on the Port Promenade on the west side of the Welland Canal near bridge 21, a short walk to the shops, pubs, restaurants, trails and Sugarloaf marina. A few minutes by bicycle to mile-long Nickel Beach and a short car ride to Niagara Falls and the vineyards of the Niagara region. During the Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival, an annual July event celebrating Port Colborne's nautical heritage, the tall ships dock directly in front of the building. Secure indoor storage for bicycles is available on the first floor common area and you will have access to laundry facilities there as well.

In the apartment there is a queen size bed in the bedroom, a double sofa bed in the living/dining area and a single size cot in the foyer. A second bedroom with full size sofa-bed is available on the ground floor.

Cute clean house with a great view of Welland Canal

This is an excellent location for viewing freighters traveling thru Welland Canal plus Niagara Falls is only a short distance away. Our host was very friendly & pleasant.

This property is well maintained and well appointed.

Our family loved this property and the location. Our kids enjoyed being next to the canal and identifying the ships that passed. We also enjoyed being so close to shopping and the beach! The beds were comfy and there was plenty of storage space for our things. Thanks again Ted!

The building was originally a Canadian Bank Of Commerce, built in 1920, complete with a vault on the main floor. The second floor, originally the residence of the bank manager, is now Pilot Lodging, a fully furnished suite for short term accommodations for tourists, visitors, business travellers, cyclists, hikers, birders and boaters. The municipal transient boater docks, the Greater Niagara Circle Route Trail and the Port Promenade are directly in front of the building. Port Colborne is a working port with more than 3,000 ships from more than 50 nations transiting the Welland Canal annually, right in front of the building. During a summer festival called Canal Days, the tall ships dock in front of the building as 300,000 or so people visit the area.The Sugarloaf Marina, horseback riding, fishing and beaches are minutes away, while many Niagara Region Wineries are a short drive away.
