Located a few miles south of Peaceful Valley on the Peak-to-Peak highway, this mountain home is more like a resort than a cabin. Situated on 4 stunning acres, the cabin offers breathtaking views of the Indian Peaks. The cabin has 22 foot cathedral ceilings in the great room and comfortably sleeps 10-12. There are additional beds in the loft above the detached garage. The cabin also has 220 feet of private lake access to Hidden Lake. A canoe, paddle boat, and kayak are available for use at the cabin's private dock, and the lake is stocked with trophy size trout (catch and release only). A private hot tub also awaits guests outside the back door. The Cabin is conveniently located just minutes to the trails at Branaird Lake State Park.
Such an incredible place. So secluded, you feel like you are the only people around. The pictures really don't do it justice. A warm and comfortable home, right on a lake, and the beautiful scenery out every window. Really couldn't have been happier staying here.
I love my experience in this cabin the owners may sure that everything was ready for us, the cabin has amazing views from any part of the Property, there is a lot of things to do like kayaking, hiking and explore the mountains. I recommended for sure this was a great experience.
This home has all the comforts you'd want with stunning views of the mountains from the kitchen, family room, and the wrap around deck.
We enjoyed fishing and the paddle boat on the private lake. There's a number of hiking options, many within 30 minutes drive.
It's the perfect combination of a comfortable home, outdoor activities, and beautiful mountain setting.
Huge Cabin / Home, really a great place, incredible views of mountains and forests from the porch that surrounds the house. Everything anyone needs to spend a weekend or a week is provided. We spent 13 days at this magnificent property, only left for a couple of day trips. The aspens changed colors while we where there, absolutely stunning views of the aspen colors embedded in the surrounding evergreens. The weather cooperated, warm days, cool clear nights, and only one nightly shower. There was a phenomenal super moon that lit the sky like a sunrise. The hot tub, boats, garage, and lake were just a bonus.
The owner, Mark, was a gracious host. I always felt like help was just minutes away were it needed.
The highest praise – “We would / will stay here again”. By far the nicest place we have every stayed.
100% recommended .
What a wonderful getaway! My friends and I (total of 9) had a great time here, enjoying the views and scenery. The house itself is magnificent, even a wraparound porch to better take it all in. The hot tub was perfect, nothing better to end a night then relaxing in a piping hot spa while the cold winds whip around you (I believe the hot tub was brominated vs chlorinated, it was easy on the nose/skin). The owners went out of their way to help us feel welcome in their home. Take advantage of the stereo, the speakers are set up to take advantage of the houses unique acoustics. The weather did not lend itself to as much hiking as we were planning on doing, but not a single complaint from our party; the house and property were perfect for a weekend getaway.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a place to relax and take in the mountain views, only 90 minutes from the airport. Would definitely return!
The Swanson's place is great! We had our church leadership retreat near their place and it was perfect. The house has tons of space and quite a few extra beds to sleep more folks. Our favorite part was the property itself. The view is amazing! Their outdoor options are unbeatable in that area. They have a lake with 3 boating options and fishing. They have a great fire pit and hot tub as well. We really enjoyed being able to have a quiet atmosphere with opportunities for outdoor adventure. Mark communicates better than most anyone I have dealt with before in a rental. A+ in every area.
