Adorable, Affordable and easy access to ski area

Great location, 1 block from the ski lifts at the base of Mt. Alyeska. A comfortable 1 bedroom with thoughtful décor. One bedroom with a queen size captains bed, one bath, and couch pulls out into a queen sleeper. There is a queen airbed also available. Cable TV and DVD on a flat screen TV. Ground floor of 4 unit complex. No stairs, Easy parking right outside door. Condo is fully equipped with a wood burning fireplace, microwave, pots and pans, dish ware, bake ware. Coffee pot, toaster, blender and all the utensils for a complete kitchen. Recent updates done to the unit, new washer and dryer installed and new outside deck. Kids toys, booster chair and pack-n-play available on premise. Pets allowed upon permission by owner. 25$ per night per extra person beyond double occupancy. 30$ pet fee. Call or email for extended night discounts.
The location is just a short walk from excellent restaurants, Alyeska daylodge, entertainment, shops, town shuttle stop and much more. Call or email to inquire about special rate offer. *** Shoulder season special: stay two nights get third night 1/2 off, stay four nights get fifth night free!****

Basecamp for job

We had an out-of-town job in Anchorage and needed a place to stay and act as our basecamp. This was the perfect place for us to stay, along with our two small dogs while we were working.

A great little spot to enjoy Girdwood. Walking distance to coffee, dinner, playground and disc golf. The pack-n-play, high chair and toys made our stay with our toddler smooth. Well equiped kitchen had all the cooking (and coffee) supplies we needed. Hooks/hangers all over for drying gear were very useful. The gas furnace in the living room is used to heat the whole condo, so we had the little fan running almost constantly to push warm air into the bedroom. Easy check-in and a few chores for check-out.

The condo was a good size for 2 people. Everything was very comfortable especially the bed after all day of hiking and sightseeing. Location was great, too-within walking distance to breakfast and local mercantile.

Alyeska Base Camp

Scott was very responsive and exceedingly helpful with the booking, the accommodations, and sharing his knowledge of the area and recommendations for suitable activities. His place felt like home. Plenty of amenities for cooking or just hunkering down on a rainy day. Everything was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the bath was perfect, and the location was aces. I took day trips on my motorcycle in every direction, then retuned in the evening for a mixture of cooking in, and dining out. Everything was really great and Scott was excellent to work with. Comfy Condo

My husband and I had a great stay at Girdwood despite two full days of rain. Luckily, Anchorage was a short distance that we did not have to be a victim to becoming idle. The condo had everything you would need to be comfortable. The bathroom had a double sink and lots of space. The living-room is spacious as well. We were a little concerned about being on the bottom floor but for the most part respect was shown from the above condo observing the quiet hours. I would highly recommend this condo. Scott, the owner, was helpful as well.

Not worth the money.

Loud neighbors, poorly cleaned, dirty, no place to unpack a suitcase, uncomfortable furnishings. It's a dumpy little ski condo! Not worth the money. Beware. Other than that it was nice to be walking distance to the "Alyeska Bake Shop" for breakfast and close to some of our Girdwood friends.

Perfect Turnagain Arm "base-camp" for adventure

Excellent condo at the base of lovely ski resort. (Our summer visit didn't have snow on the hills, but plenty of music, hiking and mountain biking happening on the mountain). Great amenities in condo, especially for families with young kids. We'll appointed AV / entertainment system. Well stocked kitchen. Nice updates to kitchen and bath. No wifi as mentioned, however, lots of reasons to visit grand lodge and two block away - walkable wine shop, bakery, restaurant and lounge. Base--camp close to Portage Glacier, Crow Creek Mine and Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Perfect stepping off point for day trips to Seward, Exit Glacier, and Whitaker. Scott is super responsive. We had needs for batteries to be replaced, and he was on-site quickly, fixing the trouble and turning us on to additional hikes to consider. Girdwood is a cool town (Check out yet Merc. - it has to be the smallest Safeway's grocery in the entire system!) and thanks to this year-round gem of a condo, we'll be back for more Alaska adventures!

Bachelor pad …

Most uncomfortable couch and bed ever. Owner Had us take off sheets to wash and seriously disgusting mattress underneath. The sheets were paper thin- thank goodness I had my sleeping bag with me. This place has potential with just a few fixes, but until then …won’t rebook.

Fantastic location

For an avid hiker, this location was incredible. I could easily walk to the bake shop in the morning for coffee, then onto the Alyeska resort & winner creek trail to hike. The condo was clean and easy to access. There are large windows to enjoy summer sunshine. Absolutely would stay here again.

Girdwood Condo stay

All went smoothly with rental. Information and instructions gave us all the information we needed. We needed a place to sleep though fully equipped kitchen available. It was quiet time for us with upstairs noise only a few times. Enjoyed our stay.

Perfect place for our fishing group

We stayed here while we fished in Whittier. It was perfectly placed and allowed us to enjoy the Alyeska location. The bathroom was very nice, the master bedroom very comfortable and once we figured out the pull out bed, it too was comfortable. The TV was a little small, but the towels very nice. Overall this was a great experience. Thank you for allowing us to stay. We look forward to returning when fishing again.
