Our property is very conveniently located in a central, quiet and safe residential neighbourhood of South Cambie on the Westside of Vancouver BC. It is an ideal location for business and leisure travelers. There are many amenities within minutes of walking:
• Cambie Village (5 min.) - independent shops, banks, cafes and specialty restaurants, and a movie theater
• World famous Queen Elizabeth Park (5 min.) - viewpoint, gardens and picnic areas, tennis courts, pitch & put, frisbee golf and Seasons in the Park restaurant
• Hillcrest Community Centre (10 min.) - Vancouver’s best indoor & outdoor swimming pools, skating rinks, gym, library & more

Built in 2014, our deluxe contemporary garden level suite is very bright with south facing floor to ceiling windows and 9 foot ceilings. Approximately 500 sq. ft., it is a perfect space to accommodate two people for a short or long stay, whether on business or vacation. This suite has a separate entrance from the front yard of the house with a private sunken patio. It is fully equipped with all modern living conveniences and high quality furnishings throughout including:
• Complete Kitchen: rift-cut white oak cabinetry, Caesarstone quartz countertop, cooking range with oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, sink with garbage disposer, coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle, pots & pans, utensils and more

There are four (4) separate living units within our property. For everyone’s health and comfort, our property is a smoke free environment. Smoking is not permitted in the suite or anywhere within the property. Sorry, we are unable to accommodate pets due to allergies.

We are retired professional couple and long-time residents of Metro Vancouver. We’ve raised our two daughters in Richmond and now, we, our daughters and four grandchildren reside in the Westside of Vancouver.

We bought this property in 2009 because of its ideal location as one of the most desirable neighbourhoods in Vancouver, BC. It is a central, quiet and safe neighbourhood with many amenities within walking distance. As well, with Canada Line King Edward train station only 4 minutes walk, we can reach most of Vancouver major sites and YVR in less than 20 minutes.
In 2012, we built a self-contained laneway house (a separate building) on the rear of the property facing the lane.
In July 2014, we completed the building of our new main house with three separate living units, including the garden suite. These contemporary living units have private entrances and sound barriers. For maximum comfort, this house has two separate mechanical systems including 2 boilers for in-floor radiant heating and 2 large indirect hot water tanks and 2 HRV with air filtration systems.
We were greeted by Richard on arrival who kindly let us check in early. The TV had broken that morning and he and his son in law were quick to ensure we had a brand new set the same day! The apartment is small but beautiful, very clean with all you could ask for of a week long stay. The area is lovely and quiet and was ideal for walking to the children's hospital as I required. Getting downtown is really easy from the sky train station a few minutes walk away and is cheap and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this apartment as a place to stay. Richard has been a wonderful host and many thanks for allowing us early and late check in/out, it has made our trip so much easier!!
The apartment was exactly as described, spotlessly clean, close to everything we needed and in a great neighborhood. We were in Vancouver to visit our new grandson, my husband was away on business for several days and I felt completely secure on my own. The added touches provided by our wonderful host Richard were an added bonus. Milk, tea, coffee, banana bread, fruit and the staple condiments were all provided including shampoos and soaps. The Canada Line was a short walk away and afforded quick trips to Vancouvers downtown waterfront. We visit Vancouver every year and now maybe more and would definitely stay here again.
Great communications with the host, and the place was everything I could have hoped for. Clean, bright, stocked with essentials, and close to transit. Will definitely stay again.
We loved our stay here in August 2016! The apartment itself is well positioned (right by a metro stop), absolutely spotless and well decorated. Richard was a wonderful host, and my boyfriend and I really appreciated the thoughtful touches such as fresh fruit, banana bread and leaflets of attractions in the city. We would definitely stay here again when we make it back to Vancouver!
It is well located near of many services and access to bus and sky train. The property is clean and well-maintained. The owner provide good customer service even more than expected. I recommend this property to friends or relatives.
Even if we arrived very late 'cause of our flight schedule to Vancouver we had the pleasant surprise to find all we could need for first breakfast and the followings. At the reservation time, I already felt that Casita is a fair place to stay but, also our guest who had attention toward us. Casita is a grat place to stay.
5 minute walk to Cambie Village, Queen Elizabeth Park and King Edward Canada Line station and 10 minute walk SOMA village, Hillcrest Community centre, Nat Bailey Stadium, Women's and Children's Hospital.
