Paradijselijke plek in een mooi gebied.catania, Syracuse, Noto en andere mooie plekken dichtbij.Het huis en het zwembad zijn geweldig en van alle gemakken voorzien, voortreffelijke binnen en buitenkeukens, een grote boomgaard met zitplekjes en vers fruit.De eigenaar Corrado is een erg vriendelijke man die echt alles wil doen om jou de mooiste vakantie te bezorgen.Met andere woorden, beter dan dit kan ik het me niet voorstellen!

Beautiful villa with wonderful hosts

Unfortunately our trip didn't go as planned as our son was ill but Isabella and Corrado were so kind and did everything possible to help. They are lovely people and wonderful hosts. The villa itself is lovely, especially the outside area, and the surroundings are stunning. You definitely need a car but the isolation means peace and quiet and great views. Unfortunately we didn't get to explore the area so hopefully we can return one day.

Country house

The house is located in a secluded area outside of town. Unfortunately the hosts do not speak any English so it was hard to communicate. Luckily our son can understand some Italian and was very helpful. They have surrounding land with lemons, olives and almond trees. Chickens which provided us with some fresh eggs. A huge beautiful immaculate pool and a stone grill which we cooked meals several times. Bedrooms are all on second floor and if you have problems climbing stairs this is not for you. A stray dog and kittens came by and were cute. We went to Avola and bought fresh produce and fish and enjoyed grilling our own food. They have olive oil, wine and aperitif for sale.

Wonderful stay in the south east Sicily countryside.

We had a great stay in this comfortable villa. Corrado and Isabella are the most wonderful of hosts - with nothing too much trouble, on hand to deal with any problems and happy to provide advice on restaurants and places to go. The outside space is wonderful - fantastic pool (on the cool side at end of April but still great to swim in), outside barbecue and pizza kitchen, with a variety of areas to sit out. Great covered veranda also for eating. Fresh eggs for guests from the chickens and plentiful supply of oranges, lemons and almonds. We enjoyed freshly squeezed orange juice and made supplies of lemonade - wonderful. The kitchen is very well equipped and comfortable lounge area with good TV and streaming channels. The sleeping areas are a bit more basic - one comfortable king in main bedroom, other beds not quite as comfortable. Be aware the single beds are small singles (2’ 6” or 75cm) fine for children but not adults. We would certainly be happy to stay again and it is a good base for exploring south east Sicily both the history and beaches.

Traumhaus

Wir waren 2 Familien und zu sechst in diesem Traumhaus. Schon auf den ersten Blick erkennt man die wunderbar geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Alles was man braucht war da. Der Pizzaofen und der Grillplatz waren klasse und von uns viel genutzt. Die Kinder hatten sehr viel Spaß bei den Hühner, beim Mandel oder Granatapfel ernten und natürlich in dem großen Pool. Die Vermieter waren sehr herzlich, immer erreichbar und haben auf alle Fragen Antworten gewusst. Sie konnten uns viele gute Ausflugsziel nennen und auch tolle Essenstipps. Der Urlaub in diesem Haus war erholsam und wunderbar. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an unsere Gastgeber.

Sehr schöne Villa

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Das Haus ist groß und gut ausgestattet. Umgeben von einem riesen Grundstück. Es gibt jeden Tag frische Eier aus dem Hühnerstall. Mandeln und Zitronen konnten wir auch ernten. Am besten ist der große Pool plus Liegen. Die Vermieter sind sehr bemüht und aufmerksam. Für Fragen und Tipps waren sie immer ansprechbar. Es gibt eine Grillecke plus Pizzaofen. Unsere Pizza war mega lecker. Es ist etwa 10 min von Avola entfernt. Ein Auto wird genötigt. Ca 12 min vom Strand entfernt. Die Straße ist etwas beschwerlich zu fahren. Für uns war es kein Problem. Hatten eine tolle Zeit.

Fabulous Holiday!

The garden around the pool is beautiful and the pool was crystal clear and maintained daily early in the morning before most of us had surfaced for the day. We all enjoyed cracking open fresh almonds and collecting eggs from the chicken coop. The beauty of the setting is further enhanced by the backdrop of the Hyblaean mountains and the sweeping views of the sea beyond Avola The villa is well equipped for cooking which we did for several evening meals. I can also recommend take away pizza which we collected from Pizzamore in Avola. We did the car share with the owners Corrado & Isabella who provided a Fiat 500L that was in immaculate condition. Usually we end up hiring a much bigger car to manage luggage from the airport run but as Corrado and his nephew met us at the airport with the Fiat they were able to take 2 cases in Corrado’s Citroen. Having a slightly smaller car proved a great bonus later when trying to find tight parking spaces or navigating narrow streets in places like Noto and Palazzolo. We had asked ahead about table tennis and Corrado kindly sourced a ping pong table which we hired for our stay and had great fun playing in the cooler parts of the day. Corrado was so helpful in having a missing delayed suitcase delivered to his house in Avola and bringing it up to the villa for us. The villa is an old family home and has been lovingly cared for by Corrado and Isabella whom we would like to thank once again for being the most wonderfully gracious of hosts.

Parfait

La villa et la piscine correspondent tout à fait aux photos. Elle est située au calme dans un écrin de verdure, il y a une belle vue sur la mer. On cueille directement les citrons sur les arbres, les herbes aromatiques dans le jardin et on a les œufs frais des poules à disposition. La piscine est très grande et la villa est équipée avec tout ce qu’il faut pour passer de bonnes vacances. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et très gentils.

Magnifique maison, cadre enchanteur, mais relativement isolé. Accès par route étroite et en mauvais état. Piscine magnifique, four à pizzas à bois, barbecue, tout est fait avec beaucoup de gout... Propriétaires très (trop) présents: on ne se sent pas dans notre maison mais dans la leur.

Lovely rural retreat

Beautiful location, pool area was kept immaculate and outside spaces were really lovely, fresh eggs from the chickens and lemons picked from the trees. Very easy access to Avola and surrounding villages. The owners Carrado and Isabella were so lovely and helpful we had a wanderful stay !

Geweldig! Een paradijs.

In 1 woord, geweldig! Wil je echt genieten, in een zeer goed uitgeruste villa, met een groot zwembad, mooie tuin, heel veel citroenbomen, verse eitjes en iedere morgen een vers geperst glas sinaasappelsap, dan is deze fraaie villa de perfecte keuze! Een gastheer en vrouw op en top! Van de mooiste adresjes tot een biertap, alles is tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Wij zijn verliefd, dank jullie wel!

Exceptional property. Perfect for families!

We absolutely loved our recent stay at this property. The villa was exceptional and the whole family agreed it was the best we have ever stayed in. There where so many highlights its hard to summarise but the points that really stood out for us was the level of cleanliness, it was immaculate top to bottom. The gardens and grounds were vast, our kids loved the freedom they had to roam safely and independently. The pool area was beautiful, we could easily have spent the entire holiday just sat by the pool admiring the views. The setting was perfect, no other properties were even visible let alone within earshot, a stunning backdrop of rolling hills and a view of the sea while being surrounded by the smell of orange blossom, the epitome of peace and tranquillity. Being free to pick fruit from the trees in the grounds as well as fresh eggs from the resident chickens every morning were also extra little perks which helped make this stay unique. But the jewel that really sets this villa apart is Mr and Mrs Spitale, they are the most wonderful hosts and genuinely lovely people, they made us feel so welcome and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay

Super Haus in toller Lage

Wir haben das Anwesen liebevoll unsere "Hazienda" genannt. Es war rundum gelungen. Im Haus fehlte es im Grunde an nichts, der gepflegte Garten und der wirklich große Pool haben uns auch Anfang November noch viel Freude bereitet. Der Südosten Siziliens lässt sich von hier wunderbar erkunden. Sowohl touristische als auch kleinere Strände sind in 10 bis 30 Minuten Autofahrt super zu erreichen. Wir haben es sehr genossen, uns toll erholt und die Gastgeber waren immer für uns da, wenn wir Fragen hatten.

Fantastisk pool med bedårende udsigt i rolige omgivelse omgivet af mandel og oliventræer

Vi havde en fantastisk uge i det dejlige hus med fri adgang til citrusfrugter og friske æg. Poolen var enorm og blev flittigt brugt, pizzaer blev bagt i pizzaovn og aftenerne nydt udendørs i de flotte omgivelser. Værtsparret søger for, at alt fungerer og er altid til rådighed med tips. En af de bedste ophold vi har haft i Italien! Vil anbefale dette sted til alle der ønsker et roligt sted med de perfekte omgivelser til at komme helt ned i tempo.

Charmantes Haus, tolle Gastgeber

Wir haben eine Woche als Familie in diesem schönen Haus verbracht. Die Ausstattung ist wie beschrieben, es fehlt an nichts. Das Haus liegt außerhalb der Stadt in den Bergen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, ein Auto ist aber unbedingt erforderlich. Corrado und Isabella sind wunderbare Gastgeber, sie haben jeden Tag nach Rechten gesehen und alles dafür getan, dass wir uns wohlfühlen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ein perfekter Urlaub

Wir haben in dem Haus 12 Tage verbracht und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Es hat eine einmalige ruhige Lage mit einem, aus dem oberen Stockwerk, wundervollen Blick aufs Meer und auf Avola. Der Pool ist richtig groß und wurde jeden Tag früh morgens von Corrado und seiner Frau gereinigt. Die beiden, sowie ihr Sohn Guilio, sind supernett und perfekte Vermieter. Am Pool gibt es genug Platz um sich in eine Schattenecke zu verziehen oder aber die Sonne zu genießen. Auf dem Grundstück stehen jede Menge Mandel, Oliven, Zitronen, Mandarinen und Orangenbäume, sowie Kaktusfeigen, an denen wir uns frei bedienen konnten. 5 Hühner und ein Hahn rundeten das Ganze ab und haben uns das eine oder andere frische Hühnerei beschert. Das Haus selbst ist gut ausgestattet, alles was man an Kochzubehör oder fürs Grillen braucht ist da; es gibt sogar einen Pizzaofen, den wir aber nicht ausprobiert haben - es war schon warm genug :) In zwei von drei Schlafzimmern und im Hauptraum gibt es eine superleise Klimaanlage, lediglich eines der Zimmer hat nur einen Ventilator und kein Klima. Alles in allem, ein zu empfehlendes Haus mit sehr netten Gastgebern.

The hosts and their cottage are highly recommended

Beautiful cottage located above AVOLA. Quiet location surrounded by large grounds with almond, olive, lemon trees. Ideal for excursions to the countryside or beach. The pool and the grounds are maintained and cleaned every day by the host. If there are problems, there is immediate help. Two bedrooms and the living room have air conditioning, so we could sleep well despite the warm temperatures. Recommendation for everyone who wants to know Sicily and is looking for a good accommodation.

A wonderful place to stay!

We have been here from May to June for almost three weeks and we enjoyed every single day of it. The place is situated right before the hills near Avola, just 10 minutes by car from Avola centre. The whole area is incredibly beautiful. Especially for the kids. The country house is quaint and cute, cosy and beautifully furnished. It was quite hot for the entire three weeks, but the house has air conditioning upstairs and downstairs, which is extremely quiet, but cools exceptionally well. The large pool, which is also illuminated in the evening, is a feast for the eyes and simply necessary with the prevailing heat in Sicily. Waking up and jumping straight into the pool and swimming your lane is just lovely. Another main attraction is the enormous land where lemon, almond and olive trees alternate and provide shade for the chickens and cats. Our children liked the chicken coop so much that they spent a lot of time there. It is the ideal point to visit the entire east coast. Catania is an hour away, but we visited such wonderful places as Marzamemi, Noto, Ortigia, Fontane Bianche and Modica. However, the beach at Avola was actually the cleanest and most beautiful of all for us. We liked Avola itself very much, even if it is not as picturesque as other places. Avola has enormous potential. The people are very open and extremely fond of children. No matter where we were, people sought contact with us, such as an elderly lady at the bakery. Important: a car is a must. Last but not least, I would like to mention the landlords Isabella and Corrado. Many thanks to you for the super fast service, the conversations in the mornings at the pool and simply for your friendly manner. We would be happy to be your guests again soon. See you soon. Wonderful villa and grounds

Really nice villa to stay in. Outside areas and the pool are just amazing. The owners, well, you could not meet a nicer couple. We had a great time at the villa, albeit, we had to cut our holiday short due to illness. I cannot praise Corrado and Isabella enough for their help, kindness and hospitality. The villa itself is cool and has air conditioning in each room. it was spotlessly clean as was the outside and the pool, which are cleaned every day. The road up to the villa is somewhat bumpy and quite long but as you're on holiday it doesn't really matter. Good location to visit so many areas from Siracusa all the way up to Modica/Ragusa.

Paradise on earth!

We have just come back from 2 weeks in this absolutely beautiful Sicilian villa sounded by Lemon, Almond and Olive trees complete with Chickens set in typical Sicilian hills. Corrado, Isabella and their son ‘Giulio’ are very friendly and extremely helpful. The pool is crystal clean and very well maintained on a daily basis. The Villa is spacious, clean, pleasing to the eye and well configured. It has air conditioning in the rooms which is welcome in the hot summer months. Outside there is a lovely BBQ corner and a wood fired Pizza oven which was fun to use during stay. It is also very private and secluded and therefore, requires a car to move freely around. The nearby town ‘Avola’ is typically Sicilian with easy access to a number of beaches. We would recommend going to Cava Grande which is close by and Mount Etna is a must if you have time. We have rented Villas all over Europe and this tops the list and ticks every box! We would highly recommend it. Thank you so much Spitale family!!

Amazing week

It is a beautiful area, surrounded by orange and lemon trees. Large pool and lovely garden. You can barbecue, make pizza and sit long into the night on the beautiful deck. Thank you for the week, definitely recommended. Will certainly come again.
