About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Sunroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3), wi-fi

Note: I prefer you email me directly before booking.

The Yellowstone Country Cabin is ideal for two-three people. It is nestled at the base of Crystal Cross Mountain in Paradise Valley Montana. The cabin is only five minutes from the Yellowstone River for the fly fisherman, and close to wilderness land for hikers and hunters. We are 17 miles (or 20 minutes) from the North entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

Our A-framed cabin (500 square feet) is located on a forest service road with easy access all year around. Everything is fresh and clean. The beautiful kitchenette has a two-burner stove, coffeemaker, coffee grinder, toaster, toaster-oven, crock pot, microwave, dishes, utensils and pots and pans. You can enjoy your meals in the quiet of the outdoors or inside at the corner dining booth, with mountain views of the Asbaroka mountain range with Electric Peak can be viewed through the windows and outside from the deck.

The sunroom has a couch/twin day bed, TV with Satalite, DVD/VCR, videos, and some games. The bathroom has a tub/shower, and vanity with towels provided. The loft bedroom has 1 King Bed with linens and one large dresser.

Outside you will find a secluded area to grill your catch-of-the-day or warm up by the bonfire, and soak in all the splendid, towering mountain views.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Do we really have to go home?!? This has been the perfect getaway from our frantic urban pace. Beautiful. Peaceful. Serene. The cabin has been our home away from home as we explored Yellowstone and Teton. It had everything we could need, and then some. We will miss that georgeous view each morning and the neghborhood mule deer passing through and lounging on the yard. Thanks so much for making such a cozy cabin!

Gorgeous cozy cabin!!!! Very close to Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

WOW. Most AMAZING experience in this cozy cabin for my boyfriend and I! Susan provided everything we needed in this beautiful cabin even bear pepper spray. VERY comfortable bed. Yes it is a secluded area but close to Yellowstone North entrance. A long drive from BZN Airport (1.5 hrs or so) and there wasn't any traffic. We woke up to beautiful herds of deer in the morning time. The cabin is simply wonderful, we hope to return again soon!! HIGHLY recommended if you're visiting Yellowstone. Also the North entrance is one the busiest entrances, has access to A LOT of great sightseeing attractions and hikes. I would not recommend more than 3 people to stay here - its a small cabin. Enjoy!

Cozy Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed five nights at this cozy cabin. We absolutely loved having Wi-Fi while staying there. It was a quick beautiful drive to the entrance of Yellowstone. There was probably less than three miles of well maintained gravel roads to get to the property. Although I did not do any cooking while there, the cabin looked well stocked with the basic cooking utensils. I would stay here again in the future.

Lovely rustic mountain cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this lovely, rustic cabin for almost 7 days. Every morning and evening we shared the property with deer, beautiful birds, bunnies, and all sorts of wildlife. There is a fire pit and lots of space for playing outdoor games and for just quietly enjoying the clear, fresh, evergreen scented air. It is just wonderful for rejuvenating before heading back to the city. The kitchen was very well stocked with good quality dish and cookware. I really appreciated that, as I like to cook, yes even on vacation 😉. Susan was always very polite and cooperative. I have multiple chemical sensitivities and she obligingly did everything possible to make me comfortable and it worked! Many thanks and good wishes to Susan and her family.

Cozy Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We spent four wonderful nights in the Cabin as summer turned to fall. A quick 16+ mile drive out of the North Gate of Yellowstone but a world away from the bustle and crowds that seem to pop up in all corners of the park. Our host Susan warmly greeted us upon our arrival and provided us with great recommendations to local restaurants and sights outside of the park. After our first night we found ourselves leaving Yellowstone earlier and earlier in the day to get back to our respite. We enjoyed sharing wine and cheese on the deck, grilling locally caught trout, cooking our own dinners in the kitchen, playing bocce or horseshoes, and making s'mores over the fire pit. The colors at sunset and following stars were both unforgettable. All the accommodations were clean and comfortable. We have already recommended the cabin to friends and family; we felt incredibly fortunate to be able to spend the time here and would not hesitate to return.

Cozy, convenient and a great host

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in the cabin! It's close to Yellowstone but far enough out to feel the tucked away. Susan was an excellent host and had all the necessities for hiking and sight seeing, including bear spray and bug spray. She was also a wealth of information for local hikes and food that were even better than Yellowstone. We recommend Tom Miner park, Ramshorn Peak hike. We definitely enjoyed our stay!
