Crystal Pines is a 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath ski in/ski out home located just above Schweitzer Village. Surrounded by Alpine Fir, White Pine and Tamarack trees, Crystal Pines is located just off the South Ridge of Schweitzer Mountain and sleeps 10 very comfortably.
Designed and furnished by a ski-loving family, Crystal Pines makes ski vacations relaxing and easy. Sometimes the most challenging thing about a ski vacation is the “stuff” you need to bring. In addition to 2 garages, Crystal Pines has a separate Ski Room to easily store skis, snowboards, and includes a custom built heated “drying apparatus” for boots, gloves, and apparel.
Put your gear on inside, then open a door and drop town the trail to Schweitzer Village for first tracks. Ski back at lunchtime to enjoy a bowl of hot chili or maybe an afternoon nap.
Snow shoe, cross country ski, tube at Hermit’s Hollow or make a spa appointment at Solstice Spa. There is so much to do here other than ski. Nestled amongst the trees, you'll enjoy the views, different and unique from every room.
When the day is done, coming home is easy. Take the Basin Express chair to Midway, turn left and take Gypsy run back. Soak the day’s tension away in a large hot tub under the stars — then you’re ready for a foosball challenge or game night around the kitchen table. A wide variety of puzzles, games and family movies are provided. A free shuttle service is available on weekends and holidays to take you back & forth to the village -- for those days when you're not skiing or wish to enjoy dinner or drinks out.
Crystal Pines is a luxury home and offers 5 private bedrooms. The large, fully appointed, kitchen services several cooks and the living room’s fireplace adds ambiance and warmth. A Bose surround sound and Blu-ray player are the perfect set up for your favorite playlist or evening movie.
Many don't realize that Schweitzer is the largest resort in Idaho & Washington, offering 2,900 skiable acres, 92 trails, 2 open bowls, Terrain Park, and 32 km of cross country trails. High speed lifts and no wait lines quickly transport you to incredible tree skiing and a variety of challenging terrain.
Summer offers great rates and a completely different experience: mountain bike the trails, then take the Great Escape chairlift back up. Pick huckleberries, hike to a nature filled picnic spot or drop down to the lake for water fun. This is a great home for a family reunion and ‘base’ to explore Sandpoint and make new memories.
