Location Location Location! Come to beautiful Gulf Shores and enjoy the many conveniences of home but with a much better view! This is a 2 bedroom and 2 bath condo overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. It sleeps 6 comfortably with one King bed, and 2 queen beds. The unit is on the second floor with elevator access or an easy walk up the stairs. It has FREE wireless Internet and the kitchen has several small appliances at your disposal. The living area and the bedrooms are spacious. There is a private covered balcony with a spectacular view of the pool, and the beach. It is a short walk to the pool, grilling area and the beach! Don't miss out on the convenience of this great property!

It's an easy walk to The Hangout, Bahama Bob's, Lauria's, Pink Pony, Sun Liner Diner and other restaurants and shopping! We have covered and outdoor parking for your vehicle (2 vehicle limit). This is a very low density complex with 18 total units.

My sister owns unit 301 in same building which is also available for rent if you need more space!

This is a Non-Smoking ~ pet free unit.

We have FREE wireless internet access!

No washer and dryer in the unit but there is a laundry room available on each of the 3 levels. The cost is approximately $2.00 per load and only takes debit or credit cards. There is covered and outside parking areas so parking should never be a problem. Parking is 50.00 per car - limit 2. There is a large common area with built in grills at your disposal. Pool has chairs for sunning. Beach chairs & umbrellas are available for rent on the Beach during summer season.

Come visit the lovely beach town of Gulf Shores, Alabama! It is a much loved spot for families year round. Enjoy the many restaurants, entertainment, and shopping options. The sugar-white sands and clear blue waters in Gulf Shores are welcoming year round. This could turn into your favorite spot!

Cancellation Policy: Travelers who cancel at least 14 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid, minus processing fee. If they cancel between 7 - 13 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, there will be no refund.

This condo is in a great location - walkable to restaurants and bars, Island grocery, souvenir shops, etc.. It's mere seconds to the beach, and the balcony facing the beach offers wonderful sounds of waves! Plenty of utensils and cookware for when you want to eat in. People who live or rent in this property are super friendly. Covered parking is nice to have. Owners are very responsive. Laundry right around the corner from the unit is very handy. The central location in Gulf Shores is perfect for trips to Ft. Morgan, State Park, Orange Beach, or even up the road to Foley or Fairhope. Note: there is only one elevator in this building and it was out for several days - the property management company was waiting on a part so everyone was just out of luck. This is not the condo owner's fault. But, just FYI for those who are mobility challenged. All in all, highly recommend.

Perfect get away spot

Location, location, location. This property is within walking distance of the heart of Gulf Shores. My kids loved skim boarding on the beach. I really like that it is a smaller property. If you are looking for a busy, hectic resort style condo this isn’t t it. If you are looking for a true relaxing vacation this is your spot.

We"ve been to southern sands several times. This was by far, the best furnished units we've ever had... real furniture, comfortable beds. Good pans and utensils. Host extremely easy to communicate with. Beds assortment worked perfectly for us! Housekeeper does fantastic job. Thank you so much for sharing this home away from home.

Great place to stay!

We loved our stay at Southern Sands. The condo was perfect for our family. We love staying in a smaller and less crowded facility. We always had chairs at the pool and it was never too crowded. The location was great and the view from the balcony was amazing. We’ll definitely consider a return trip.

Room 203 was great. Had a beautiful ocean view. The shopping cart and luggage racks made transporting groceries and luggage easy. The BBQ grilling area was nice to have as well as the pool. We would love to come back again!

Perfect place for families!

The condo was in the perfect location for a family get away. Close to so many activities! Beach access was awesome and the pool was a perfect size for our son! Everything was clean and in great condition. The elevator was out for a while on our second day but was back up and runnIng quickly. We will definitely book again!!

Excellent condo on the beach!

This was our first family trip to Gulf Shores and this condo made the overall trip fantastic. It was spacious and has everything you need for a home away from home. It was clean and you could even see the beach right from the balcony. The location was great as there are many restaurants and shopping writhing walking distance and it’s right on the beach.The owners had great communication the entire time and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. We will always keep this condo in mind for future trips!

Beautiful View

The condo was great for our stay at the beach for our baseball world series. The location is great. We enjoyed walking to several restaurants. The view from the balcony is beautiful. The elevator did break one day, but they had it repaired very quick. Host is very fast to respond. We would stay here again.

Late Summer Visit

Room was clean and just as described. Beds are comfortable and condo gets nice and cool at night for sleeping. Location is wonderful as you are able to walk to several restaurants and shops. Everything you need is included in the kitchen - even cooking spray and aluminum foil. Check-In was a breeze and the starter essentials helped a lot!

Excellent Location!

The place was incredibly clean with an excellent beach view. The a/c worked amazingly well! The building is within walking distance to souvenir shops and delicious restaurants. The smaller size of the entire building made it really convenient to access our vehicles, the beach, and the pool. It would have been better for us if the parking pass had been left in the unit for us rather than mailed. However, we had an amazing time and can’t wait to go back next summer!

Perfect For Young Family

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was just as advertised and so clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were soft. We loved being able to walk anywhere we needed from dinner (Bahama Bob’s was delicious and friendly and the Hangout was a ton of fun) to ice cream (the little shop across the street was tasty and had a fun variety of toppings) to the beach (we loved not having to cross the street, and our first morning we walked down at sunrise and saw dolphins!) . Our kids are ages 4, 7 and 9. We had PLENTY of room. We can’t wait to return and would definitely stay here again.

Great location, very clean

I love that it is so close to the "T" (where Hwy 59 hits Beach Blvd) and it was impressively clean and decorated so cute. It is an older building, so you can hear the neighbors more than at other places, but it wasn't bad. We sleep with white noise, so wasn't too much of an issue for us. Washer and dryer aren't in the unit, but are right across from it. We didn't need them during our stay because there were plenty of linens in the unit. We would stay here again.

Horrible beds!!!

Everything about this condo was great except for the rock hard beds. We all had a hard time sleeping and had back aches. I would not recommend this condo only because sleeping is a important part of vacation and being sore from the beds is no fun. I would only rent this unit again if the matresses are replaced.

We love the beach and the convenient location of Southern Sands is perfect. We've owned our unit since 1997 and have loved every minute of our time in Gulf Shores. Now that we are retired, we can barely stay away! Our children and grandchildren love it as much as we do. Come visit us soon at Southern Sands 203!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the great view, the beautiful beach and the smallness of this complex. There are only 18 units, which means the beach is never over crowded and there is ample parking. There are many great restaurants and souvenir shops within walking distance. The convenience is just what we were looking for. This complex is family friendly and snowbirds are welcome!

What makes this property unique

From Southern Sands you can walk to Pink Pony Pub, The Hangout, Lauria's, Desotos, The Steamer, and Sea N Suds. There are also several souvenir shops along the way.
