Love it, clean and nice safe environment to stay at!!!! Recommend
Perfect weekend getaway
The property was exactly as described. It was very clean and cozy. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. We loved the history behind the building. The small town was great for a relaxing weekend. We walked to the beach, shops, and restaurants in town. Beaufort was a short drive so we found plenty to do during our weekend stay. We would definitely stay here again.
The perfect place for us.
We came down to SC for our son's graduation from Marine Bootcamp. Parris Island was a short drive away from the house. The town of Port Royal is a quaint and lovely town to visit. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and the short walk to the beach.
We came with our daughter, son, daughter in law and grand baby and the house was the perfect size for us all.
An amazing experience
It was so close to the base I was happy! The place was a beauty and had very high ceilings (which is different when you’re from NY) lol it’s a very comfortable stay and can fit many people. The owner is very nice and was available when needed. I would recommend to anyone!
Richard was very helpful. Everything was set for us.
If you're a historical enthusiast like me, this is a great place to stay. Quiet area within walking distance of many old homes. Not much to do in PR proper, but close to so many things like Fort Fremont, Penn Center, historic Beaufort, Parris Island, Bluffton and even Savannah and Charleston. The old store is solidly built and features a nice shop downstairs that features it's best asset, Nancy. I highly recommend the place if you want to get away and still be near things of interest.
Wonderful Property and very close to Parris Island MCRD
We stayed at this property for my sons graduation from Parris Island MCRD. The location was terrific, less than a 10 minute drive to Parris Island MCRD, and close to eating and shopping. Property was just as described, clean, plenty of room, and the owner was great to work with and responded quickly! The shop downstairs was so cute, and the people were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this property if you were going to be in the area.

Easy walk to Sands Beach and Lookout Tower! Also the distant sound of gunfire in distance is from firing range on Parris Island.
