The Villa was much larger than expected. There was a huge entertainment hall I had not taken notice of in the description. Great for indoor play in the event of bad weather. The main living/kitchen area is on the first floor requiring a lot of walking up and down stairs. That said there were 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor with a small kitchen. Air conditioning was amazing, in every room (not bathrooms), and mosquito netting on every window. That said, you still needed mosquito repellent outside at night. The kitchen was adequately equipped, not enough plugs for too many appliances. There were not enough sun lounges for the number of adults. Only 2, the rest were reclining chairs. The villa would benefit from investing in larger parasols around the pool. There are only 2 small circular parasols, neither providing shade over the pool, which was very needed in 38°. The gardens were lovely, green, with views in all directions. The approach to the villa is super dusty, dry track kicking up a lot of dust in the dry weather (perhaps a health problem for some guests).
Tavarnelle Val di Pesa super town with every thing you need with Coop, restaurants and night life on Tuesdays. Throughly recommend restaurant Borgo Antico in Tavarnelle. Katia, the owner, has a lovely ambiance and food you want to to return to eat again. We dined there 3 times!
