The Farmhouse at Partridge Lodge

This classic Suffolk beautiful Farmhouse has 4 main bedrooms , one has en-suite and there's a family bathroom upstairs, while downstairs has an extra single bedroom and separate shower room and toilet. There's a wonderful kitchen with optional AGA with all mod cons. There are two sitting rooms with wood burner and an open fire. Also a large garden with optional Hot Tub off of the utility room with toy shed and swings.
French doors off of a lounge overlooking its private garden with wood burner and an open fire in the other sitting rooms. The garden has swings and a shed full of garden toys. There is an optional Hot Tub off of the utility room, also a garden Sauna near our front pound. While upstairs you have 4 bedrooms (one is en-suite including a shower) and there is also a family bathroom with bath shower. Two of the bedrooms have 2 singles in each and two bedrooms have doubles (one is kingsize).

Downstairs theres a 5th bedroom with a single bed off the kitchen with a separate shower room and toilet. There's a dinning room off the kitchen overlooking the garden and two further sitting rooms in this beautiful holiday accommodation. Fantastic for entertaining where some families get together and love the atmosphere it provides.

Dog stay's have a minimum fee and can be booked as an optional extra.

On arrival there is a welcome book with notes and advice with plenty of history and suggestions for the local area.

Beautiful stay in beautiful surroundings

Absolutely perfect farmhouse for a group stay as it has so many great facilities. The Hot tub, tennis courts, sauna, football posts! So much to do! Lovely cosy bedrooms, and plenty of space. It would have just been nice to have the stuff to light a fire in the house.

A brief stay

Thank you for a wonderful stay when we were up in Suffolk for dog training. Everyone loved the cottage and it was perfect for our needs. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone interested in booking.

Perfect for family groups

Great hosts who are quick and easy to communicate with to answer all my questions. The property was very clean, had well stocked kitchen and comfortable, clean bedrooms. Also very family friendly providing cots and other useful items as per their website suggests. The grounds & facilities are lovely and we made full use of everything. The location is very private too which was nice. We hired 3 of the properties together which was perfect for our large group gathering made up of several families and we had plenty of space to all come together. This was my second trip to Partridge Lodge with a different group of people and on both occasions everyone loved it and had a great time.

Lovely Farmhouse

This was perfect for us to spend the weekend whilst attending a family wedding. It allowed us as a family to be together (including the dog!) and accommodated us all comfortably. Our boys loved having the option of the hot tub too. We'd definitely book again if ever we head back over to the area.

Three-night family celebration vacation

On arrival we met Sarah, who was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The Farmhouse is a large property, ideal for a family get-together with a large garden and lovely surroundings. We made use of the hot tub which the family enjoyed. We had two dogs with us which the garden and surrounding area was ideal for. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Lovely family farmhouse

The farmhouse was better than expected, even bigger than the pictures made out and was lovely and cosy as you would hope for a farmhouse. A great sized garden that the kids and dog enjoyed and the tennis court got a good amount of use. The private hot tub in the garden was used multiple times a day and was a great addition, although some might say it's a bit cheeky charging extra for it. The small lake was great fun and we managed to get a few boat rides in which the little ones loved despite not being able to find any fish. Overall it was a great place to stay and a good location with loads of things to do within a 15mins drive whilst still being located in the middle of nowhere.

Three nights with family and friends - the Dairy Hall and the Farmhouse October 2024

We had such a fantastic time. We booked the Dairy Hall and The Farmhouse. The 22 seater table in the Dairy Hall was where we ate every day. We are a group that has been going away with each other for over 40 years and have booked many 'cottages' over the years. The facilities were great - comfy beds, lots of cookers, fridges and freezers, the seating areas were lovely and it all worked brilliantly. We visited Framlingham Castle, Sutton Hoo, walked along the river at Woodbridge and did a walk from the house as well. The youngest member of the party was 12 months and the oldest 89 years old. We all had a great time and the owners were extremely helpful. And very chilled when one of our party walked into their house by mistake!

Family gettogether

This wS an ideal venue for family get together. It was large enough for all to have that all important time as a family under one roof. There was lots of space with many rooms to talk, eat and have fun. The hot tub wS an added bonus, which.offered relaxation. Weather meant we were not able to take advantage of the lovely surroundings of the gardens. Location was remote but not a problem.

A lovely house for a family holiday

Partridge Farm is spacious, full of character and very well equipped for a family of 7, ranging in age from 2 to 68. And a dog! The children loved the great range of indoor and outdoor toys, and the adults enjoyed the wonderful location, and the hot tub. Sarah and Aaron were great hosts, providing a range of delicious welcome treats, and taking the time to introduce our granddaughters to their chickens, which was a high spot of the holiday!

Very pleasant house

We really enjoyed our stay at The Farmhouse, Partridge Lodge. Sarah was very welcoming and our boys were allowed to run freely around the Estate as well using the tennis courts. The house was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The only downside was poor water pressure in the bathrooms and a dodgy cold tap which completely came off on two occasions soaking us in cold water which was not very relaxing. This looked as if if had happened before which we felt was not great for the price tag which was quite high. The owners did sort the tap out quite quickly on the second occasion when we reported it though which was good. Overall it was a good stay with nice people.

A family holiday with adult children and two young grandchildren in a lovely rural setting.

The Farmhouse at Partridge Lodge is a delightful, spacious house in a lovely setting, equipped with everything you could need for a family holiday. Outdoors, the hot tub was much appreciated by the adults, while our young granddaughters enjoyed playing in the large garden with the toys and equipment helpfully provided. They also liked exploring the grounds with a treehouse and tennis court. A welcome pack of starter items, including a delicious cake, was a thoughtful bonus. The owners, who live on site, are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. This is an excellent base for exploring Suffolk or to simply relax and enjoy your surroundings.

Wonderful family vacation

We had the most fantastic time. Instead of our holiday to the Caribbean (Cancelled due to COVID) we ventured to Suffolk. The house was lovely and spacious, the grounds vast enough for my 2 boys to run around. The location was great for all the attractions and beaches. Woodbridge is a lovely town with some great places to eat. Even though it rained we had plenty of space inside and outside and came home rested.

Farmhouse Aug 2020

We stayed at the Farmhouse for 4 nights at the beginning of Aug 2020. We were not disappointed at all and enjoyed as much as we did on our previous visit 5 years ago. The owners Sarah and Aaran are very welcoming and helpful. Our kids loved the open space and especially the owner's dog Woody. The Farmhouse was very spacious for 2 families with 2 kids each. it was clean and had all the essentials we needed. The garden was big with plenty of toys for the kids. The was also a hot tub, which was lovely to relax in, in the evening. The cottage is about 20-30 mins from beaches and other attractions. We would highly recommend this place to families with kids. The only area for suggestion on improvement was the shower in the en-suite, which lacked power. We are already thinking of returning again maybe in the next couple of years.

A fabulous farmhouse for a large family Christmas

We chose Partridge Lodge for the size and location and is was a great decision. There was plenty of space for a family of 8 and a small dog and room to have some peace too. We all loved the jacuzzi which was an added bonus to the property. The owners Aaron and Sarah where close by for any questions or problems we had and gave us good pub recommendations too. There are lovely places to visit within about a 30 minute drive and close to large supermarkets too. We would plan to return again when we are all together and looking for a 5 bedroom property.

Great Venue for a Family Birthday

We booked the Farmhouse at Partridge Lodge as somewhere to celebrate a family birthday. It was perfect! With help from the owners we arranged for Ya to come and cook us the most fantastic dinner so that we could all enjoy the evening, eat at our own pace and not have to worry about babysitters etc., as the little ones were fast asleep upstairs. The setting is idyllic, beautifully quiet and some wonderful walks around. Advice and help from the owners before the stay was second to none, and were a friendly face if you needed them during the duration of the stay. I would definitely recommend the property to anyone!

Fantastic weekend.

My family and I ( 17 adults plus children and babies) recently spent a weekend at Partridge lodge, We had 3 of the 4 houses and found each one had its own charm and was very warm, comfortable and extremely well equipped, Everything was provided and there were lots of thoughtful details. As it was snowing we werent able to explore very much but the outside space looked wonderful and we are looking forward to returning to the properties in summertime. We would thoroughly recommend this as a venue for a weeekend away or a holiday.

New Year Break

We spent the New Year at Partridge Lodge, a family of 9. 7 adults including teenagers , 2 children and 2 dogs. It's a lovely house, really cosy and welcoming. Really safe, the children and the dogs ran around freely enjoying the gardens, fields, playhouse and climbing frame. The house is quite a distance from shops, pubs, restaurants etc at least 40/50 minute walk which was too far for the young children but the local towns, take aways and pubs are only minutes in the car and well worth visiting. We had New Years eve lunch at the Turks Head which was fantastic. We cooked the other 3 nights we were there. More serving dishes may of been useful but we took alot of things with us.

Better than excellent. Being extremely picky, the only suggestion we could possibly make would be to just add a couple of passing bays on the entrance roadway (Would save having to reverse!!)

We hopefuly provide everything you need to get your holiday started including BBQ's, child friendly equipment that we know from our own experiences of little ones that can lead to heavy and rather bulky packing.

Why they chose this property

We purchased the old Partridge Farm back in 2007 and have had 18 happy years converting and changing the outbuildings towards holiday lettings, with many family and friends gatherings including the special wedding's.
