On arrival the Owner had left the keys in the BBQ for us to let ourselves in. We were told if we arrived after 5pm (which we did) linen, towels and Cots would all be there and ready to use. They weren't. We had to ring her at 8.30pm and ask for it to be brought round. She then demanded a cash security deposit and money for linen as well as the rest of the cost of the holiday rental. Whilst we were fine with the money for linen, as we had expected this, we were unaware the whole lot (a large sum) had to be paid immediately in cash. She said if we did not pay now in cash she would lock up the apartment there and then, so hence leaving 3 children and 4 adults on the street. We paid up but this left one party (with 6 month old baby) with absolutely no cash whatsoever.
She knew this and couldn't care less. Nothing in regards to apartment was explained to us and she kept rushing as as it was Sunday (she didn't hide her annoyance that she was assisting us on a Sunday).
We had an Ant infestation (you could count at least 10 ants on sink while brushing teeth) and the shower was so small it was barely usable. The shower head is hand held only and there is no bath plug. We had no hot water for the first 24 hours and even when we did get it it only lasted long enough to shower the children, not the adults. We all showered in cold water the whole week. There is also no lock on the bathroom door, meaning we had absolutely no privacy when using the toilet/shower. This was reported to her and she said someone would be round to fix it, this did not happen. On the evening of day 2 at 10.30pm, the toilet cistern flooded, the ballcock got stuck and the water continued to flow water out onto the floor, we had to use our bath towels (rented) to stop the water spreading through the house. My partner turned the water off to stop the flow, we called her for over 45 mins to report it and got no answer, the emergency number is not in use after 4pm in the afternoon, she failed to attempt to contact us at all following the many missed calls so we called her again in the morning. We were left for 14 hours with no flush on the loo. That evening when we rang again to tell her the situation and that we were in need of replacement towels, she told us to wash the towels and she refused to give us anymore, was rude and said she was to busy to come round and the toilet problem was our fault!! After that, we didn't contact about anything, So rude! Thats not even half the issues encountered!
