About Mallory Swales
I live and work in two cities-Oklahoma City and Denver. Being from Oklahoma but having lived in Alaska for 3 years, I was missing the mountains. I decided it was time to get back to them and made a way to work in both cities and enjoy what each has to offer. Family in one, mountains in the other. I'd love to share my Denver place with you whether for your work or play. Cheers and safe travels!
Mallory Swales purchased this House in 2012
Why Mallory Swales chose Sunnyside
The Highlands is one of the best neighborhoods in Denver. I was lucky enough to find a great property in this coveted area. It offers everything from day life to night life along with great people to enjoy it with.

Clean, simple and great
Very clean, modern unit, great location, easy owner to deal with
Charming spot in a great location!
We spent a week here with our pugs while working on our own rental nearby and absolutely loved it! Mallory was a terrific host and had everything clean and set up for us and was available to answer questions through the VRBO app. I love the ease of checking in with a lockbox and the privacy of the duplex with a private yard and a garage! The upgraded horizontal fence does have a few spaces where little dogs can escape from underneath as ours did, so be sure to keep an eye on your pup if they are a toy breed. Luckily ours only strayed next door. There is a short walk a few houses up to the Universal for excellent gourmet breakfast and lunch. Also we loved Nick’s Diner a few blocks away off Federal and the amazing Indian restaurant Spice Room, which is another few blocks away on 38th. This home is a short drive to LoDo and a 15 minutes walk to Lohi restaurants and bars on 32nd street. The decor is fresh and modern and the enormous sofa perfect for watching a movie or taking a nap. The washer and dryer were perfect because we returned home with clean clothes and no mountain of laundry to do! Highly recommend this Highlands gem and will return.
Clean and Comfortable!
My husband and I stayed here for a week and enjoyed the place very much.
We recommend it greatly!
Great place in great location!
Really enjoyed our stay! The property was newly remodeled and very clean. Great location - close to everything that Denver has to offer. The owner was very responsive and provided the perfect amount of interaction with us. Will definitely stay again the next time we are in Denver!
Perfect location with all of the amenities.
Owner was very accommodating with our every need. Place was clean and updated. Incredible food within walking distance, and downtown is right around the corner. Very comfortable mattress too!
Mallory's apartment was a great home base for our recent visit to Denver. It was clean, beds were comfy, and location was great! Our 3yo is recently obsessed with guitars and really enjoyed singing songs with the guitar in the apartment. Great touch! Food options within walking distance were fantastic for breakfast and lunch.
A little TLC could make this apartment really perfect. For example - the blinds were ripped and need to be replaced. The yard could use a little work - the grass wasn't mowed when we arrived (although someone did mow during our stay). There were large weeds with thorny leaves on the patio, which made it difficult for our 3yo. The drain in the shower is slow and the plug doesn't work (challenging to bathe a 3yo). These small things can easily be fixed to make it even better. Overall, we definitely recommend this property for others looking to visit Denver.
The Highlands is full of fun. Walking distance to parks, restaurants, coffee shops and more. Downtown is just a short 5-minute cab ride away. Go see a Broncos game only 3 miles away. Walk around Sloan's Lake for great views. Enjoy hiking in the foothills. Go for some skiing or zip lining in the mountains and come home to relax in comfort and style. If you've got a vehicle then take advantage of the garage in the back.
