Very disappointed with this review. In over 8 years of renting all year round we have only ever had 5 star reviews on every platform. We provide a spotlessly clean, totally functioning, well stocked apartment with everything a guest could want. We love our guests and always want to do well for them. What we can’t provide is an immunity from other owners deciding to renovate their apartment without a license (so illegal) and not giving us any warning. The guests before you mentioned it to us, but when we confronted the owners, they assured us that any heavy noise had finished now as there was only tiling and painting left to do. As you didn’t complain to us, or our greeter cleaner (you were given 3 phone numbers) or indeed to the builders whilst you were there we, living in the UK, could only presume that was true. If we’d known you found it so bad we could have possibly moved you to a friend’s apartment. I do feel that a one star review like this is unfair as it does not reflect the actual apartment we provided, which you agreed was nice, clean and provided everything. Although I have no proof of the ‘terrible’ noise, as a gesture of good will I was willing to offer you a free week next year. You ignored my email. This (2 months on from when I made this goodwill offer) is the first I’ve heard from you.
