This was an ideal little find, centrally located across from the Fortezza and behind the historic town center. The space was perfect for a two-person stay.

Perfect location

Great little apartment right next to an entrance to the old town. Everything you want to see and eat is within a few minutes walking. The view from the apartment is stunning and Montepulciano is the perfect Tuscan town, and easy driving to all the highlights of the area.

Great accommodation in Montepulciano

La Casina Cantini was the perfect spot for our 3 nights in Montepulciano. The Cantini’s location was great and is in walking distance of all the main sites and several wonderful restaurants. The view from the room is amazing! The accommodations were simple, but ample and up to date—we lacked for nothing. Our host Chiara, was friendly, helpful and very responsive. We had a wonderful time in Montepulciano, tasting wines, visiting the city sites and eating some amazing food. We would certainly recommend both visiting Montepulciano and staying at La Casina Cantini.

Great location and view from the apartment

Close to restaurants and coffee. Having a car made it a great location as we were able to drive to surrounding areas. Apartment was small but clean and perfect for what we needed. I was first concerned about walking in the town as it is very steep. However, we were looking at the shops and restaurants so our slower pace made it easy to walk up the hills. Wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend.

Simple apartment, great location in Montepulciano

This is a very simple and basic apartment with a beautiful view, and a great location in Montepulciano. There are a few free parking spots on the street, some paid parking down the hill, and more free parking spots by the Lama Café. It’s clean, the host was very responsive, and it got the job done. It’s more of a workhorse than luxury. The bathroom could use some hooks for towels and a shelf to store toiletries. But it got the job done and the location can’t be beat.

The view is breathtaking, the unit is as described . The BED is awful ! Would probably not stay again just because of the bed if that’s what that. It is a deal breaker and you’re going to feel every bit of the metal and wood support. Needs an information book and very few amenities in kitchen

Fantastic location

Perfect!

This was perfect for my boyfriend and I while we explored Montepulciano for a few days. It was clean, located in a convenient area, and our host was very helpful in providing recommendations.

Great apartment with a view!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this great little apartment. It is clean and comfortable for two people. We loved being able to cook at home for a change after traveling for the past month. We were able to buy fresh pasta from the market down the road so that was perfect. The host was fantastic with communication and made an excellent dinner recommendation which is literally next door. Finally the view from the kitchen is gorgeous! It’s great to be able to open the window in the morning and enjoy the Tuscan sunrise. I definitely recommend it you want to stay in the historic town of Montepulciano!

Great location

Great location with beautiful views. Comfortable bed (2 singles combined so quite large). Small appartement, but great for 2 people. Kitchen is well equipped. Had a great stay.

Great Location, Fantastic View

I stayed here for almost seven weeks in September/October 2024 while I attended classes at Il Sasso Italian language school. It was a fantastic stay in every way. The apartment is clean, well-equipped, and exactly as advertised. The property manager responds immediately to every question or concern. The location is ideal and offers a panoramic view of the amazing Tuscan countryside. The apartment is small but the high beamed ceilings give it a spacious feel. I was very happy to have chosen this property for my extended stay in Montepulciano.

Wonderful!

This is a lovely little apartment in a perfect setting within the historic center of Montepulciano. Communication with the owner was very good, and I was met promptly upon arrival with the keys. The apartment was perfectly clean, and had everything I needed for a week+ stay. I could not ask for a better experience, and I hope to return sometime soon.

Great holiday home in Montepulciano

The pictures online of the view from the living room may be a tad underdone.......... Great view, the fog over the valley in the mornings was glorious. Apartment was super clean and location was prime. Once you figure out the parking, this is the most convenient spot in Montepulciano. Great for day trips to the wineries during the day and great restaurant's at night. Bed was supper comfortable.. John H. Houston, Texas

Amazing View

What and amazing view with beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Thankyou Chiara for a wonderful stay at your La Casina Cantina - Such close proximity to Piazza Grande , great coffee, food, wine and so much to explore in this beautiful city and surrounds. We enjoyed hearing the birds songs and watching them soar plus also seeing the different coloured blossoms come and go on the trees through the front window. Such comfortable 'home away from home' with everything you need. It was a dream come true for us and Thankyou again for your great communications also. Great Location & Host!

We really enjoyed our stay.. right in the heart of the village. The apartment was clean and had what we needed. Stayed in the winter and all was warm inside! Our host met us right away.. very easy transition.. had to park down the hill . But we were able to downloaded at the apartment.. I would highly recommend! Enjoy.. we did! Good place but not perfect

Our host was in Milan when we arrived. Simone checked us in. The location was perfect and the price is great. The accommodations were adequate and the pastoral valley view was wonderful. Unfortunately the WiFi did not work for the three days we were there. The linens, bedding and mattress should be replaced for a more enjoyable stay. The parking was challenging.

Lovely Location in Beautiful a Montepulciano

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little apartment. The size of the space was perfect for the two of us and the view over the field was absolutely breathtaking. It is close to everything, easy to find, and was very clean. There were extra towels and toilet paper, which was much appreciated, there was an iron and ironing board and lots of space for us to put our luggage and clothing. It is in the heart of the old part of Montepulciano, so made it very easy to explore the area. It is very quiet in the evening which made it enjoyable. We were able to make our own dinner and have our own drinks on the small doorstep patio. Check-in was easy and the host was very responsive our entire visit. I would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful little piece of heaven in Tuscany. There are places very nearby to have dinner, grab something for breakfast, or have drinks in the evening without having to drive anywhere which is exactly what we wanted. There is a large Conad grocery store down the hill if you want to buy groceries. It’s a short drive to many beautiful wineries in the area and easy to do day trips to other areas of Tuscany. We had a wonderful time here!!

Nothing to change. Perfection!

We stayed here for 10 nights in April 2023. The place is perfect. We met the host Chiara when we arrived. We took the train to the Montepulciano Stazione then a taxi up the hill (30E). The apartment is on the top floor with huge window overlooking the Val di Chiana. Every day, we had that window open just admiring the view. The kitchen is equipt well, with everything you need for breakfast and simple cooking. We made chicken and a salad one night. There is a CONAD grocery store within walking distance but I recommend planning to take the city bus back up the hill. It's a steep hill especially with groceries. The bedroom and bathroom are large and well equipped. Chiara switched out out linens for us during our stay. The duomo and palazzo are very close nearby and there are plenty of restaurants, wine bars, and shops too. There is a cafe in the piazza grande which is perfect for a morning cafe. The rest of Montepulciano is down the hill but when you are strolling, it doesn't seem too strenuous to head back home. We did have to walk home in the rain one night and we were hustling so that was a bit tiring. The city bus runs all the time but stops at 6pm in the spring so that is one thing to consider. All in all, this place is perfect. I highly recommend it and will definitely return. If you like red wine, Montepulciano is a must visit in Tuscany and this apartment is the perfect place to stay. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
