About Robin Smith
I was born and raised in Marquette, MI here on this property. I am a licensed hairdresser, licensed Massage therapist and certified Yoga teacher through yoga alliance. My goal here is to turn the main house into a healing retreat center. It was a bed & breakfast when I was growing up, so I "learned the ropes" from my mom and plan to take the legacy on, adding a few amenities to offer to our guests, such as personalized yoga classes or massage, or couples massage. This is a great place to stay if you are looking to engulf yourself in peace and beauty, somewhat disconnecting from our normal everyday busy lives. Our paradise is too magical not to share with the world.
Robin Smith purchased this Cottage in 1924

What makes this Cottage unique
Quaint, perfect getaway, miles of sandy beach to walk and enjoy. A wonderful place to base your U.P. adventure.
Carriage House near the lake
Robin was extremely nice and a great host. Our family enjoyed our first stay in the UP and our two Bostons loved the beach and lake area.
My husband and two children (10 & 8) really enjoyed our stay at this property. We have been to the UP many times, but this was probably our favorite location. The beach was very private and a short walk from the house. We met the owner of the property and several family members. They were super nice, and you could tell they definitely loved the property! We spent as much time on the beach as we could, but when the weather wasn't as nice we went to Marquette and Munising. In Munising, we did the Pictured Rock Boat Cruise. Definitely worth seeing. There was a lot to do in Marquette. We went to several museums and restaurants. Both places are not too far of a drive.
Beach was amazing!
Carriage house was small, but had everything we needed. Robin is a delight.
The house is set in a secluded woods, with access to the beach. It was great!
We appreciated having our 2 dogs with us to enjoy the local hiking and long walks on the beach. Humans and animals were made to feel very welcomed! Robin was there to accommodate our every need, and literally gave me the "shirt off from her back". We are looking forward to another visit soon.
Great time. Place was nice and the owner made us feel welcome. We would return. Lots to do in the area.
Always enjoy staying at this beautiful property and Robin is a gracious, thoughtful host.
This is the third time we've stayed at this lovely beach house and enjoy it every time. Highly recommend!
