Este apartamento extremadamente cómodo, liviano y espacioso tiene una ubicación fantástica para hacer turismo, cultura, (Palermo fue nombrada "Capital Italiana de la Cultura 2018"), mercados y vida nocturna: ¡todo está a un corto paseo de distancia!

El apartamento tiene dos plantas: en el nivel inferior hay una habitación doble con balcón y baño, una gran sala de estar con balcón, sofás, TV, mesa. Una escalera circular te lleva a la planta superior donde está la segunda habitación doble, baño, cocina totalmente equipada y terraza adyacente. El apartamento está en el segundo piso, con ascensor.

Las dos habitaciones son totalmente privado, bien ventiladas, y disponen de aire acondicionado y calefacción central. La habitación en el nivel superior puede ser doble o doble (por favor especifique antes de la llegada si necesita camas gemelas). Ambos tienen un montón de espacio en el armario.

El salón es un lugar tranquilo y cómodo para descansar después de un día en la bulliciosa ciudad de Palermo: fresco en el verano con su balcón y ventilador de techo y acogedor en el invierno con su discreta iluminación, calefacción y grandes sofás. Aparte de la televisión, hay una selección de películas para que usted pueda ver. También hay una mesa de comedor que puede ser utilizado como un ordenador portátil conveniente o zona de trabajo - ideal para estancias más largas. Se proporciona conexión Wi-Fi.


La cocina, con comedor, tiene todo lo necesario para preparar y disfrutar de deliciosos platos de la increíble variedad de productos locales disponibles en el mercado de alimentos cercano, que está a sólo 2 minutos a pie. También hay un lavavajillas y una lavadora.

La cocina da a la encantadora terraza, ideal para comer al aire libre, con su impresionante vista de la impresionante cúpula de mayólica de la Chiesa del Carmine Maggiore, (no se pierda la procesión de finales de julio).

Esta iglesia es solo una de las muchas maravillas barrocas de la ciudad. Palermo también es Patrimonio de la Humanidad por su itinerario árabe-normando.

The apartment was beautiful and close to everything we wanted to see. It was a wonderful retreat after spending the day and evening out. It was a short walk to the train station allowing us to get to Cefalu for a day trip.Our host Yvonne was amazing as well. She created a book for the house full of information and suggestions. She was very helpful with our questions ahead of our arrival and during our stay.

A week in the centre of Palermo

This duplex flat is a delight, beautifully fitted out and thoughtfully provided with the basic provisions. Very easy access to the daily market and many of the historic buildings are within 15 minutes walk. Great location if you want to be in the center of the action within walking distance to major sights. The apartment is spacious, very well appointed with everything you need and more. Yvonne was lovely, knowledgeable about the area and super friendly. Can’t think of anything more she could have done to make our visit more enjoyable. I’d stay there again while visiting Palermo.

Great location, amazing host

Yvonne was an amazing host. The neighbourhood is a little edgy, but very authentic. We loved going to the market which was just steps away and buying fresh fruit, veggies and bread for breakfast and lunch. We had our bread guy and cheese guy. It made our trip to Palermo.

Great apartment in a real neighbourhood

A spacious apartment in a lively neighbourhood. It can be a bit noisy at times due to the proximity to the Ballaro market but it is convenient to all the sites in the historic centre. Yvonne was a wonderful host. She had multiple suggestions of things to see and do including a fantastic restaurant recommendation that turned out to be one of the best meals we have every had. Highly Recommend.

Wow!

This apartment was perfect for two couples on Easter weekend in Palermo. The apartment was very classy and a great location for the Ballerò Market and many other venues. The landlord was exceptional. She met us upon arrival and helped us park, unload our bags, and get settled. Her recommendations for dinners were right on point and she was focused on making our visit perfect. We just couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Great week in Palermo

We stayed in Yvonne's flat for a week the end of May and thoroughly enjoyed it. The flat is exactly as advertised and has everything you need for an enjoyable experience. The neighborhood in which the flat is located seems a bit rough at first but once you get your bearings it is an ideal base to tour all of Palermo. Most attractions are in easy walking distance. The Ballerò Market is 5 minutes away and is wonderful. Yvonne was very responsive, answered all of our questions, and made some great suggestions on restaurants & attractions. All in all a wonderful stay.

A most pleasant stay

This apartment was delightful. Its layout is such that four people could easily stay there and not get in each others way. It is located pretty much in the middle of the Ballarò market. The market shuts down in the early evening so street noise is not a problem. Yvonne was waiting for us upon our arrival, and was most informative and gracious during our stay. This was our fourth trip to Palermo and we really felt that we were staying in the authentic Palermo. Our concerns about safety in the neighborhood proved to be totally unfounded as we felt very safe the whole time.

A spacious apartment in a genuine, central Palermo neighbourhood

This is a spacious and well equiped/furnished apartment in a very genuine, central Palermo neighbourhood. We enjoyed being somewhere where we felt we could experience local life, rather than simply being in a tourist area. It's not been "gentrified" and is a largely residential district. Only 50 yards away is the buzzing, messy Ballaro market - one of the sights of Palermo - but the apartment itself is very peaceful and the terrace a welcome retreat from Palermo's streets. We found the apartment very well located for seeing all the main sights in Palermo: a short walk from the Palazzo dei Normanni and Cathedral, the Quattro Canti at the heart of the city, and the sights of the Kalsa, Capo and Vucciria districts. The proximity to the central station (which we used for the airport and Cefalu) and Piazza Indipendenza (for the bus to Monreale - highly recommended) is also very convenient. Internally the apartment is very generous, with a downstairs living room and an upstairs kitchen/diner opening onto the terrace. Even in an unseasonably hot period for late September it stayed cool in the living areas and the airconditioning effectively kept the bedrooms at a good temperature. Our Host, Yvonne was very welcoming - we enjoyed meeting her on arrival and she was very accommodatng with our check-in arrangements, helpful in correspondence and provided useful information/recommendations (for eating we enjoyed Bisso Bistro and the basic/genuine local Tratorria il Bersagliere)

Perfect Location

Yvonne is a wonderful host and her apartment was the perfect base for three women. She set the upstairs room with two twin beds, per our request. When we arrived, she found us several blocks away, where the taxi had dropped us, and helped to get us to her apartment. The apartment is beautiful; clean, comfortable and well stocked. She introduced us to how to make coffee in the moka coffee pot, which is wonderful. The welcome goodies and supplies she left for us were much appreciated as well! The two bedrooms were very comfortable as was the spacious living area, but the outdoor space, overlooking the beautiful dome of the Chiesa next door, was where we spent most of our time. Yvonne provided lots of suggestions, tour information and reference guides, which helped us to plan our days. The apartment is steps away from the bustling Ballaro market with a myriad of food and goods for sale. It’s also walking distance to the Quattro Canti with the beautiful Fontana Pretoria, the churches of San Cataldo and La Mortorana, Piazza Bellini and the hop-on-hop-off tour buses, allowing easy access to all the top attractions Palermo has to offer. The apartment allowed us to enjoy being part of the local community, getting used to the daily routines, exploring the market, shops and eateries in the area. We highly recommend this as your base while exploring Palermo if you want to immerse yourself in the local culture. Yvonne is a perfect host, just a text or call away, should you have any questions or need anything. Thank you for sharing your apartment Yvonne!

Very comfortable flat with lots of extras to make our stay easy.

Yvonne was very helpful and responsive. The little extras - decent coffee, milk, fruit, bread, biscuits, shampoo, tissues etc - and the most comfortable beds and bedding (outside my own bedroom at home) made this a wonderful bolt hole. And we really appreciated the gesture of pasta and homemade pesto waiting for us on the day we had to go to Catania. And the lifts to and from the bus station for the bus to the airport. There were some problems about the trip however. Not least the theft of my purse from my bag - including my passport - on the tourist bus of the old town the first morning. This involved major hassle - phone calls to the Embassy in Rome and a five hour round trip across the island to Catania for a visit to the honorary consul to get an emergency travel document to fly home. So our advice would be not to board a very busy bus. And to be very careful of your belongings. But the city is very walkable, so there is really no need to catch a local bus anyway. The location was very central, but as others have said it could be noisy, especially at night, with fire crackers, scooters and neighbours calling from balconies into the early hours. But if you choose to be in the market area you must expect to be surrounded by Sicilian life, in all its splendour. And the market was very convenient for excellent bread, meat, veg and fruit. And most of the stall holders and shop keepers were very friendly. The wifi worked well but don't expect to be able to stream films or even radio for too long as there is a daily limit, starting at midnight. All in all, a very comfortable and well appointed flat but just be careful of some of the street life!

Palacio dentro de un suburbio

El apartamento es simplemente perfecto, completisimo, y todo de muy buena calidad. La anfitriona Ivonne ha sido de lo mas amable con nosotros. No nos ha faltado de nada. Lastima que la zona esté tan llena de basura y miseria que desluce lo bonito del apartamento. No obstante está a un paso de todos los monumentos y el ambiente al final te acostumbras.

Superbe lieu de séjour

Nous sommes enchanté du séjour que nous avons passé dans l’appartement d'Yvonne Lokes. Un endroit que nous recommandons mille fois. Pour le lieu qui est parfait et l'attention de notre hôte. C'est un très beau duplex moderne, spacieux, clair et confortable. Au rez de chaussée un grand salon donne accès à une belle chambre avec salle de bains. L'ensemble des photos de l'annonce correspondent parfaitement à l'appartement. Décoration soignée avec beaucoup goût. Un lieu silencieux, au 2e étage avec ascenseur ! L'appartement dispose de tout ce qui compte au quotidien. L'équipement cuisine de qualité est très complet (comme chez soi) 2 salles de bains très bien agencées. Beau linge de maison Les chambres sont spacieuses et une large literie très confortable. le 1er étage du duplex ( 2e chambre, cuisine et 2e salle de bains) donne sur une petite terrasse bien exposée. Lieu très agréable pour le petit déjeuner, le thé, la lecture. L'appartement est situé au cœur du Palerme ancien, à 2 pas de l’immense Marché historique de Ballaro, lieu foisonnant qui déborde d'odeurs, de musique, du cri des commerçants, de nourritures délicieuses, où se côtoie toute la richesse et la diversité de la population palermitaine. Remarque. C'est notre 2e séjour à Palerme, que nous passons au mois d'octobre. Temps superbe, chaleur agréable sans canicule et c'est aussi le mois des journées du patrimoine. Tous les vendredis, samedis et dimanches, accès aux lieux d'excellence culturelle. Il est à noter que c'est à cette époque qu'a lieu également la fête des associations du quartier de Ballaro qui bat don plein avec ses spectacles de rue.

Palermo Adventure

I highly recommend this apartment/flat. Yvonne is a wonderful host. She is very thoughtful and was a huge help during our stay. We ended up arriving 12 hours late; shortly after midnight; and Yvonne was kind enough to arrange transportation and meet us for check-in. The accommodations exceeded our expectations and the location was perfect for reaching most everything by foot. The flat was very clean and well kept. The patio/deck was awesome! Yvonne also gave excellent suggestions for places to eat and see. We would visit again without hesitation. Thanks Yvonne, ~ Randy

Best place to stay in Palermo

Great apartment in perfect location right behind the Ballaro market. The apartment has everything you need with a great amenities. We loved it and highly recommend it. Thanks Yvonne!

Excellent séjour familial à Palerme

Tout a été parfait pour notre séjour d'une semaine à Palerme dans l'appartement d'Yvonne, situé tout près du centre historique. Tout d'abord l'accueil d'Yvonne a été parfait le jour même de notre arrivée et même au delà puisqu'elle nous a donné dès le lendemain beaucoup de renseignements sur l'intérêt de la ville et ses environs. L'appartement par lui-même (en duplex) avait beaucoup de cachet et était très bien équipé. Nous recommandons fortement ce pied à terre palermitain pour découvrir la capitale de la Sicile et ses merveilleux environs (Décalé, Monreale...). Nous garderons un souvenir, enchanté à tous points de vue, de ce séjour sicilien !! Christine, Jacques et François.

Palermo hautnah

Eine ansprechende, gut möblierte und sehr zweckmäßig ausgestattete Wohnung für 4 Personen, mitten in der Altstadt mit ihrem emsigen Treiben. Der lebendige Ballarò-Markt liegt direkt um die Ecke, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar ebenso wie viele Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Vermieterin empfing uns sehr sehr herzlich, informierte umfassend und war äußerst hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Mille grazie Yvonne

Superbe terrasse, très bien placé

L'appartement est conforme à la description, très agréable, extrêmement bien situé pour visiter Palerme à pied, dans un quartier très populaire et plutôt animé -- quoique l'appartement lui-même soit plutôt calme. La propriétaire est hyper réactive et donne plein de conseils pour profiter au mieux de Palerme. Je recommande.

In dieser Wohnung hätten wir uns noch wochenlang wohl gefühlt. Liebevoll eingerichtet, an alles ist gedacht, und wir mochten das Viertel, mit dem Balloro-Markt um die Ecke, sehr. Gerne wieder!

Mitten in der Altstadt Palermos

Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und fürsorglich auf Englisch. Die Wohnung ist hinsichtlich Lage und Ausstattung ein Traum. Die Wohnung ist wegen einer Wendeltreppe zur Küche nicht behindertengerecht.
