Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
This place is perfect for two people and maybe a child or two. We loved being near the ski lift and the lodge for lunch and after skiing hang out.
Must be able to walk up two flights of spiral staircases, but otherwise great place! Would stay here again.
As close to the ski lifts as you can get! It is worth noting the unit is hard to get into/ out of. There is a tiny spiral staircase straight up when you open the door, and another to the upstairs bedroom. Besides the stairs it's a fine unit for a young couple like ourselves. Like I said, prime location and nice hot tub(full size pool but over 100 degrees). 5/5 location, 3/5 unit = 4/5 overall.
You cannot beat the location of this property. It is a quick (very short) walk to the ski lift and to the bus stop for free transportation to downtown. As already mentioned, the stairs are a little tricky, but if you don't have any physical issues that the stairs might be a problem, this condo is wonderful! Also, a large suitcase might be challenging to get up the stairs. It would much easier with a soft duffel.
The location was fabulous! It is a very short 1 to 2 minute walk to the lifts. The kitchen is very small and if you are planning on cooking dinners it might not be the best choice. We ate breakfast at the condo and lunch and dinners out so it was not a problem for us. The one negative for us was the spiral staircase. It is very tight and difficult to get your suitcase up the stairs. We are not large individuals and in good shape and although we could manage it would have been more comfortable without dealing with the stairs. And when you first walk in you have to go up the stairs to the main floor and then again to the bedroom and only bathroom.
Might be a challenge for larger people to make it up the stairs... we had to leave a cooler by the door because we couldn't take it up the spiral staircase.
We are a young couple in our mid 30s without children and stayed comfortably in this condo but don't encourage more than a single couple staying here. There is a pull out bed in the living room but there is an oversized coffee table preventing its use. I read other reviews which only briefly mentioned the complaint of the stairs and I wish they had been more thorough with their issues. No shoes are allowed to be worn in the unit and it was -5 degrees during our entire stay so we were often in our socks since shoes were not permissible and ultimately lead to my husband slipping and falling down the dangerously narrow and small carpeted stair case. I slipped on one of the steps on our first day but immediately purchased slippers while shopping in town. We encourage anyone staying here to have indoor slippers to prevent slipping down the stairs. You enter into the front door into a small closet like entry way where barely two people can stand at one time and then have to climb up a small narrow staircase with all your luggage and ski/snowboard equipment. My husband pointed out that unless there are two able bodied people to maneuver the luggage up the stairs he wouldn't reccomend staying here. At the top of the first stair case is the living room/kitchen. To get to the bathroom you must climb a second narrow stair case that takes you to the third upper level where the bedroom and bathroom are located. There was only one parking permit and the instructions said there would be two. I wouldn't encourage anyone to do a lot of cooking in the small kitchen which does not have a dishwasher, dish towels, drying towels, drying mat, Tupperware, or av normal size refrigerator. We Loved the heated pool, access to the public bus which is free, and having the wood burning fire place. To take out your garbage walk out to picabo St and take a right and walk all the way to the very end of the international village property and you will see a tall door structure with a red sign that says "No parking any time" and this is where you empty the garbage. To access the coin op laundry walk out of the unit and look to your right where there is the gated pool, with key access walk through the pool to the second gate and on the other side is the laundry room ($2.00 in quarters per wash and dry). Please note that there aren't any large pool towels or robes for use. The level of communication, professionalism, and instruction were immensely helpful and appreciated
