Sitting on the elevated porch, you can watch the deer feeding under the trees and see the river slipping by. More than 3 acres of rolling lawn provide room for picnicking or volleyball/badminton games. Floating down the river, visiting the rodeo arena or driving to either of the nearby parks, provide plenty of outdoor activities for the family. DirecTV & WiFi give options for entertainment inside. Both houses have fully stocked kitchens offering flexibility for food preparation. The charcoal grill and the fire pit offer outdoor options for cooking. In the larger house the master bedroom has a king-sized memory-foam mattress and a day bed. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed and a toddler bed. Bedroom #3 of the large house has a full-sized bed with antique iron bedstead and a set of bunk beds. The living area offers a fold-out sofa bed and a futon. The Pony House (smaller house) will comfortably sleep 2 - 5 people. Normally the cost of the 2nd house will be $30/night unless you have more than 9 people; otherwise, the price is based purely on # of people. If you have 9 or fewer people, the Pony house will remain closed, but will not be reserved by another party.
The nearby Laurel Tree Guest Table is a lovely Provencial-style restaurant where local hospitality meets cosmopolitan cuisine. The local Lost Maples Cafe, open 7 days/week, offers a more homey atmosphere and all-American selection.
