Experience life in a small tuscanian village

The apartment is very clean and quite spacious. Elisa is very friendly and helpful. We just loved strolling around the village of Palaia. The small village life was a great experience and we miss it already. Thanks to Elisa!

Amazing Little Village and Great Host

When you need a vacation to feel like a vacation, Palaia is the place go. You become a local when you stay here. You get up in the morning to the ring of the beautiful bell tower. Then go down the La Chicca, the local cafe/gelateria to have your morning coffee, followed by strolling though the local shops, or having dinner at the wonderful family restaurants like Antica Farmacia or Bacciomeo. or you can just swing by LaCivetta and grab a pizza to go. Elisa was an amazing host that I gladly now call a friend, she help you arrange wine tastings, cooking lessons or just suggest beautiful places to go, all with local friends for hers. I cannot recommend her enough, My wife and I love the little village of Palaia, it was a great place to stay to explore the Tuscany countryside without having to be in all the hustle of the cities like Pisa or Florence. If you want to see what it is like to be a Tuscan Local and not a tourist, this is the place to go. And make sure you ask to try some of Elisa mothers limoncello, Its amazing, homemade, and way better than the store bought stuff. Thanks Elisa for everything I can't wait for our next trip to Palaia.

Brilliant Unit in the charming and authentic village of Palaia.

Everything you need for a quiet and relaxing stay in Tuscany. Palaia is quiet and the people were friendly. The host speaks wonderful English and was very kind and helpful. We needed to find some crutches for our son and she arranged this with the local pharmacy. The unit is very modern and comfortable. Highly recommended for family. We ate at the only pub twice...amazing pasta but horrible pizza.

Appartamento molto bello e completo. La scomodità è nell'assenza di parcheggio in quasi tutto il paese. pochi posti e sempre occupati dagli autoctoni. Il suono della campane normalmente è molto piacevole,ma quando sono a meno di dieci metri dalla finestra, che è aperta in quanto l'appartamento non è climatizzato, e suonano ogni mezz'ora, notte giorno perdono la loro poesia. Non adatto a persone con difficoltà di deambulazione a causa di lunga e ripida scalinata per raggiungere l'appartamento. Verificate prezzo con telefonata. Capitato che fosse digitato errato.

Love at first sight

This place is exactly what I dream of Italy, the flat is very clean, beautiful and efficient. The village is just dreamy! So beautiful and quaint. I would recommend this place to everyone, I want to come back and probably bring my children( adult) to experience what I just experience. Great appartment and friendly owner

We were very pleased with our stay in Palaia. Owner Elisa is very friendly and helpful and provided us with everything we needed. Apartment is great - clean and good equipped. Location is in the middle of town. It was great to stay in Palaia, since there are not so many tourists and is also a good base from where we could do trips to well known Tuscan attractions. We recommend this accommodation to anyone!

Per chi si muove in auto trova nella cittadina di Palaia la possibilità di soggiornare a prezzi davvero ottimi e di raggiungere Pisa , Lucca, Siena nel raggio di 50 km ..lo consiglio a chiunque voglia scoprire un parte magnifica della Toscana..

Bel appartement bien équipé car Elisa souhaite que les vacanciers aient toutes les commodités. Situé au milieu des collines Toscanes et à l'écart de l'agitation estivale ce point de chute est parfait pour découvrir plus en profondeur cette belle région.

Уважаемые господа, Если вы желаете получить удовольствие от знакомства с Тосканой и при этом найти место, где разместить «базу», чтобы не переезжать с места на место, то лучше, чем Палайя и чем эта квартира, предлагаемая Элизой, вам не стоит искать. Мы провели в этом Богом поцелованном месте 7 дней. Вид из окна – напрашивается на полотно, как готовый сюжет картины; к квартире – никаких замечаний, кроме того, что она довольно просторна, в ней высокие потолки, легко дышыться; любые вопросы Элиза и её друг помогают решать, вплоть до аренды машины, которую они взяли полностью на себя, получив от нас только скан. копию прав и страницы паспорта, за что мы им очень благодарны! При этом мы не тратили ни минуты на получение машины и сдачи её арендодателю! Машина отличная, Элиза встретила нас на вокзале в день приезда уже с «нашей» машиной и отвезла на вокзал на ней же в день отъезда. Кроме того, городок находится, во-первых, в прекрасном месте, с чудесными видами и живописной дорогой к нему, и во-вторых, до всех самых интересных пунктов Тосканы от него 24 – максимум 80 км, т.е. очень удобно ежедневно стартовать из него и вечером возвращаться на отдых в тишину и покой тосканской провинции. Рекомендую останавливаться здесь парам, желающим провести романтический отпуск, и семьям с детьми и подростками. Вы будете довольны своим выбором. Май 2017

Very nice apartment directly in Palaia

Our holiday in Palaia was very nice. The communication with Elisa beforehand was excellent and also during our stay she was always very helpful. You could have called her any time you wanted to. The apartment itself is on the second floor and is nice and clean. It would be nice if there was a kettle in the kitchen to boil hot water.

L'appartement est beaucoup mieux que sur les photos, très bien équipé et de qualité. Le village est splendine au coeur du triangle toscane. Nous avons beaucoup aimé le pub à côté et le petit café sur la place à côté de l'église. Les promenades dans le village sont magnifiques, et en montant en haut vous avez une vue imprenable sur le village! Enfin Elisa et son mari sont des gens d'une sympathie sincère et rarement vu, et vous donnerons des conseils pour les restaurants et les villages à visiter. En Florence il faut absolument manger au rez de chaussée du marché qui est très connu, et je ne parle pas des curiosités multiples à visiter si nombreuses qu'il faut au moins un mois pour les voir. Appartement très mignon et bien situé, avec toutes les informations pratiques sur place. idéalement placé pour visiter la Toscane, que ce soit par les petites routes (sinueuses, mais magnifiques) ou les voies plus rapides. Elisa s'est montrée charmante et attentionnée, et ce fut réellement un plaisir de communiquer avec elle. Le petit bourg de Palaia est également très joli, avec tout ce qu'il faut, et très calme tout en offrant un panel intéressant de petits magasins et restaurants divers. Bref, une location à recommander, et encore merci à Elisa !!

Très beau séjour

Nous avions choisi cette location pour visiter la Toscane, et nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour. Palaia est une ville très agréable et l'appartement est parfaitement bien équipé. Nous n'avons manqué de rien et avons pu visiter ce que nous voulions. La propriétaire, Elisa, est très disponible et l'accueil était très chaleureux. Nous recommandons vivement cette location!

Perfect base to explore Tuscany

We so enjoyed our week long stay in this lovely apartment. It had everything we needed and wanted and was very cozy and inviting. Elisa made sure we were well taken care of, even saving us a parking spot and showing us around when we arrived. She was readily available by text throughout our stay to help us and check on us. The village was wonderful. We rented a car and explored many places in Tuscany with Palaia as our base. Most evenings we would return back to the village for dinner at one of the various restaurants, all within walking distance of the apartment. They are all delicious! We had breakfast most mornings at the coffe bar in the village. The ladies there were so friendly and helpful and by the end of the week we felt like "regulars". There was someone in all the restaraunts that spoke English and most of them had an Englush menu as well, which was very helpful. There are several markets in town to get whatever needs you have while you are there. Elisa was a pleasure and I highly recommend this rental!! Thank you for a wonderful week, Elisa!

Der ideale "Stützpunkt" für Toskanatouristen

Die große, helle und sehr saubere Wohnung ist inmitten dem mittelalterlichen Städtchen Palaia. Die Hauptstraße und Parkplätze sind fußläufig erreichbar. Der nächste Supermarkt ist in etwa 10 min mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Palaia ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt um die Toskana zu erkunden, da Pisa, Siena und Florenz gut mit dem Auto erreichbar sind, man aber nach Florenz von Pontedera auch mit dem Zug kommt. In Palaia gibt es eine Hand voll Pizzerien, Trattorien, Cafes und Restaurants sowie einige kleinere Läden. Mitten im ist der "Rocca", ein Aussichtspunkt mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick ins Umland. In der Wohnung liegen Flyer von allen Restaurants im Ort und die Vermieterin Elisa gibt gerne Empfehlungen (das typisch toskanische Abendessen im fußläufig erreichbaren Agrotourismo ist besonders empfehlenswert). Weitere Flyer informieren über Sehenswürdigkeiten und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht, wie Küche, Kühlschank, Waschmaschine, und einem Fernseher und DVD-Spieler für Regentage. Die Vermieterin war immer erreichbar, sehr nett und umgänglich und hat uns viele gute Tipps gegeben (wie mit dem Zug nach Florenz zu fahren). Wir haben zu zweit Urlaub in der Wohnung gemacht und würden die Wohnung jederzeit weiterempfehlen.
