Coming to sunny Colorado? We'd love to have you as our guests! We are conveniently located in a quiet corner of beautiful SE Denver near to both the Colorado and the Yale Light Rail Stations which enable easy access to downtown Denver and the Denver Tech Center. And if you have your own vehicle, we're just 10-15 min. to downtown Denver and about an hour to the front range peaks of the Rockies.
The guest quarters consist of a 950 sq. ft. fully-finished and furnished basement apt. w/ semi-private entry, 2 spacious bedrooms - one w/queen-sized bed and the other with three comfy twin beds(plus another twin bed in the living room so it sleeps 6 people), closet and dresser space, 1 bathroom with large walk-in shower, cozy kitchenette, your own large living space with a wood fireplace, Wi-Fi, TV and DVD player and an extensive library. Common areas include the main level kitchen, laundry, back porch and beautifully landscaped yard as well as off-street parking.
The kitchenette has 2 two-burner hot plates(stove with oven available in my house upstairs), two good sized mini fridges, toaster oven, microwave, pots, pans and utensils available for cooking with eating area. Water source is a dish sink by the bathroom.
We supply our guests all bed linens and blankets, pillow cases, towels, wash clothes, toilet paper, paper towel and kleenex.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe with no through streets or traffic. We are located just 3 short blocks from the 88 mile long Highline Canal bike path which connects easily to the Cherry Creek Bike path. Also, the University Hills shopping district is just a few minutes away by car or bike.
I've lived here for many years and love this area because it is so quiet and safe yet has easy access to downtown, restaurants and local bike paths. And we are only 15-20 minutes by car to the foothills, less than an hour to Boulder and 1.5 hours away from some of the best skiing, snowboading, hiking and mountain climbing in the world.
Guests have full access to the entire 950 sq ft. beautifully finished rental unit as well as to the main level kitchen, laundry, back porch, barbecue grill, and garden.
The guest quarters are in our fully-finished and furnished basement, not on the street level of the house. We are not offering the entire house for rent, just the finished basement. We encourage our guests to come up to the main level kitchen to cook if they so desire, and also use the laundry facilities (which are also on the main level as well, just next to the entrance to the guest quarters entrance off of our back porch.) The guest quarters entrance is accessible via a lighted pathway that goes from the driveway out front along the north side of our house to the back porch. It's also worth noting that there is a short flight of stairs that goes down to the guest quarters.
