We were 2 big families in this house and everyone had his own bed, enough room for all of us (12 people including 2 babies), enough towels and linens etc. The kitchen had everything (except for salt and pepper and oil) and we enjoyed cooking in and using the BBQ outside. We gave it 5 stars, but for cleaning we would rate it only 3.5 star/ Other than that - a great place to stay - recommend it to everyone.
Our family just enjoyed our second stay here. The location is perfect and makes for an enjoyable family vacation. The owner is easy to work with and makes you feel right at home. Looking forward to our next visit to Tahoe!!
King beds and 1 set of twins along with 4 bathrooms really helps when getting ready for a weekend of events at the West Shore Cafe. (Wedding and rehearsal dinner along with beach day after at Chambers landing) Half the towels were fluffy and new and the other half were old but clean. Bed linens were older. Showers and sinks were clean but floors didn't seem to be cleaned and bath rugs were either dirty or old. Screens missing on most bedroom windows made it hotter upstairs for sleeping. They did provide a box fan that helped circulate some air upstairs. The deck area was great for meals and conversations! A family room upstairs and living room down stairs made for good spaces to spread out. The kitchen was stocked with good small appliances and refrigerator was good size but the stove and dishwasher were older. The refrigerator froze our eggs but was set too high by previous tenants or cleaners. One toilet down stairs backed up and was very slow moving along with a beeping smoke alarm and several light bulbs out. We called the property manager and he came while we were at the wedding that evening and changed the ceiling light in one bedroom and left us bulbs for the other lights. We believe he cleared the toilet too. Turned out the reading lights in the living room don't work so it wasn't the bulbs. We just left the smoke alarm down he didn't leave a 9 volt battery. All in all it was a great location for access to all the events we needed to get to. Very quite and lovely area which was good for our children and grandchildren which are 10 weeks old and 6 months old.
We loved this property. 5 bedrooms and 5 baths was perfect for 5 couples on a kid-free weekend (though of course Lake Tahoe is very family-friendly). Right across the street from Homewood, quick drive to Squaw and Alpine, and a very short walk to the lake - location was awesome in Tahoma/Homewood. The kitchen was well-equipped, beds were big and comfortable, and Marissa (the owner) is responsive. "Nest" heating system meant the house was warmed up for us when we arrived. Plenty of hot water for everyone's showers. Two separate living areas allowed me to do some work upstairs when I needed to. The only drawback was that I couldn't tell if there is a fire pit anywhere on the property because of the snow, so I guess we'll just have to come back in the summer! Highly recommend.
We rented the property for a 60th birthday celebration and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of space for 7 adults and 4 children. The upstairs loft was perfect for the children to play games and watch television. It was convenient to have four bathrooms and 5 bedrooms with comfortable beds and linens.
The view from the living room looking out over the snow covered deck was truly amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to stores, Homewood Ski Resort and the beach.
I highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, spacious and relaxing rental.
10 of us had ample room in the downstairs living room as well as in the upstairs loft area; not to mention each of the five bedrooms has access to its own full bath. The home is comfortable and is on the lake side of the highway with Property Owners beach access. Quiet, one way street is a bonus. Large deck offers even more beauty and space. The owner is easy to communicate with. Thank for the great weekend getaway.
