2 Bedroom, 2 1/2 Bath Townhouse, Sleeps 6 with queen size pull out sofa. **Freshly painted and new furniture added in 2017** NO ELEVATORS to hinder your days; covered carport great for grilling dinner on those evenings when you just want to stay in after soaking up all of the late evening sun; walk just 10 steps from carport to the beautiful pool area and grass filed courtyard that is great for kids and adults alike; Master bedroom has queen size bed and a flat screen TV, second bedroom has two twin beds and TV--great for the kids! Gulf view balcony on each floor!!

An Alabama born and raised girl, I grew up spending my summers in Gulf Shores. As a transplant to 'Landlocked Tennessee', I, along with my family, count down the days until our next trip to the salty Gulf air and our little home away from home at Gulfside Townhomes #12.

Why Elizabeth Lucas Wilson chose Alabama

My sweet dad, a lover of the Gulf Coast, bought this property just a few short years before he passed away suddenly at the age of 55. He fancied himself the Mayor of Gulfside Townhomes and loved this property and the location better than anywhere else in the world. He actually bought this unit specifically because it was the closest to the pool and he dreamed of being able to watch his grandkids swim while he enjoyed a cold beer on the balcony. Although he never got to see them swim in the pool, he can rest assured that they love the pool and we hope that it will be enjoyed by our family for generations to come.

What makes this townhome unique

There is no other property in Gulf Shores like Gulfside Townhomes. A unique horseshoe-shaped complex with only 40 units with 250 feet of beach front. For visitors, that means even at peak summer season, the pool will never be full, the beach never too crowded and like so many people that vacation here, you get to know your neighbors and even become friends. The complex is super family friendly and with no elevators to hinder your days. You'll enjoy being able to walk right down to the pool and courtyard area and being just steps away from the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world! (In my humble opinion!)

Fit Our Needs Perfectly

We chose this condo based on our need to be near the Hangout Music Festival so the young people could walk to and from. It ended up being great for me as a non-attendee as well! Walked down the sidewalk past the well-kept pool right onto the beach every morning and evening for my walk/run. Condo was very clean, freshly painted, nicely decorated, comfy beds, well stocked with dishes, etc. No neighbors above or below like the high rises! Owners were very helpful and responsive when I had questions as we planned our vacation. We will rent from them again if the opportunity arises!

Wonderful Beach Condo

I stayed here for 5 weeks and absolutely loved it. It is right on the beach. You can walk to many restaurants. The condo was very clean, has wifi, and a nice view of the beach. The owner was very accommodating. I plan to go back here. Highly recommend!

We arrived to a broken A/C, no refund. BEWARE

We arrived to a broken A/C and a broken refrigerator. The unit was also very dirty. Mold in showed, hair in floor, dirt on walls, and foul odor in unit.

We waited 4 hours and were told the air needed to be replaced and they expected us to stay there, it was with a unknown date. They refused to refund our money.

Please Beware this rental. Out quite a bit of money and our day on vacay.

Owner's Response: The renter called me at 4:30 on Saturday, June 25 to report that the AC unit was not cooling efficiently. I immediately called our AC service company and a technician arrived at the property 48 minutes after the renter had called me. After checking the unit, he called to let me know that while the unit did not appear to working at its maximum capacity, it was not broken. He then added freon and waited 45 minutes until the temperature dropped by 5 degrees. He also noted that the heat index in the area that day and the days prior had ranged from 105-110 degrees and that even a system cooling at maximum capacity would struggle to cool a unit below 72 degrees during the heat of the day. After discussing the options, I made the decision to replace the condenser portion of the unit. Because the condenser is located on the roof of the 3-story townhouse, a crane would be required. The crane was not available after hours on a Saturday or any time on Sunday. I called the AC technician 3 times to verify that the system was working and he assured me that it was. Each time I spoke to either the technician or the operator at the AC service company, I notified the renter. At this point, I was doing everything within my power to make the situation better but unfortunately, my hands were tied. The renter and her husband began texting and calling to the point of harassment. They began reporting other issues with the condo on Sunday that had not been mentioned before. I called my local property manager and she went to the unit at 3:30pm on Sunday afternoon. She called me from the unit and reported that other than the light bulb in the refrigerator being out, that there was no evidence of the uncleanliness or things being broken that the renter had reported. She also noted that the thermostat was reading 73 degrees. On Sunday, the renters notified me that they were leaving the property. They filed a complaint with PayPal and I was issued a refund request on Monday. I refunded 100% of the requested funds immediately. I arrived at the property on Thursday after this review and found none of the renter's complaints to be valid. My reputation as an owner and the reputation of this property speaks for itself in the other reviews. This is not a hotel. This is a home. Things do go wrong. Just as they would in any home. I have and will continue to do anything and everything in my power to make renters to my beach home happy and satisfied.
