About Lenorr Snyder

My husband works in the area and I am a stay at home mom raising our five children. I enjoy spending time in Custer State Park hiking with my family, riding bike on the Mickelson Trail, and the quiet peacefulness the area has to offer. There is so much to do and see regardless of your interests.

Lenorr Snyder purchased this house in 2014

Why Lenorr Snyder chose Black Hills

We purchased the property to have a home away from home for our five children. We currently live in the Custer area and wanted a home in town to accommodate school activities. The property has the appeal of being in a country setting but only a few blocks from downtown Custer.

What makes this house unique

The cabin like appeal. The knotty pine and hard wood floors throughout the house made us feel right at home. The yard is also fairly private with a lot of mature trees offering shade. Deer frequent the yard quite often.

Nice home

  • 5 of 5

Home was extremely clean and well equipped. Location was convenient for all sightseeing in the Black Hills area and there were several good restaurants nearby. The 1/2 bath was a plus.

Charming indeed! Magical place and a great value

  • 5 of 5

This house was just the perfect place for our family to stay close by Custer State Park where we had a wedding to attend. For the same cost as a single room in the park you get an entire house complete with all sorts of fun games and all the comforts of home. Everything is clean and newly renovated, yet they did a great job keeping the charming character of the original house. Our kids loved waking up to the deer and the air hokey table. Knowing that this is just a few hours from Colorado where we live we will be coming back!

Great clean home top return to each day.

The house was very clean and was very quaint. It was a nice place to come home to after a long day of sightseeing or hiking. The deer roaming around the yard each day was very nice to see as well.

Great place to stay, I'd refer my friends to stay here anytime. Clean, functional, roomy, comfortable, cabin feel. If I come back, I'll try to stay again here.

Great quiet space for families- close to it all, but away from the crowds!

  • 5 of 5

We originally boooked this for two nights, only to realize that we erred, and needed a third night. Lenorr was more than happy to help us oout. Place is easy to find. My girls were kept occupied by a large piece of mica (stone) and the deer grazing nearby, while we unloaded. Her house is at the end of a quiet road- with plenty of green space for kids to run around in.

This was by far the cleanest ental we've ever stayed in. The fridge looked brand-spankin' new! Kitchen had more than just the basics. Little things like scissors, and a first aid kit, were easy to find. (though thankfully , we didn't need the latter) My girls are a little too younf to enjoy the real foosball and air hockey, but they loved the tabletop version. My husband and I appreciated a variety of board games.

The beds- well, I can't speak for the bedroom containing the twin and full (kids slept there) . The blankets they had were divine. And, the larger bed was neyond comfortable, with a memory foam top. My body, tired from hiking while carrying a kiddo, really looked forward to this.

The whole place exudes a calm and peace. If that's what you're looking for, this is it. We were so close to Custer, Wind Cave, etc. but enough off the main road to give us some solitude. Should we come his way again, we'll be back.
