Laurie's Corral-Unit 2. Spacious unit featuring 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, plus a twin size rollaway in the living area suitable for a child or small adult. 1 full bathroom with shower and hairdryer. All linens, towels and paper products supplied. We also have soft water. Toiletries available upon request. Full kitchen with pots, pans, dishes and utensils and dish soap. Wi-Fi and Roku on the TV + DVD player. BBQ grill and outside seating on a covered patio area with views of Needles and Black Elk Peak. Firepit. Great for a relaxing evening. Star gazing is great here as well. Paved road to the property. Well behaved pets are welcome. Pets cannot be left unattended. 4 miles to downtown Historic Downtown Custer, 6 miles to the West entrance of Custer State Park, 9 miles to Sylvan Lake, 11 miles to Crazy Horse, 12 miles to Wind Cave Park, 12 miles to Jewel Cave, 15 miles to Hill City and the 1880 Train and Depot, 34 miles to Mt. Rushmore and 1 hour to Rapid City. Fishing and hiking. Custer offers many dining opportunities.

We so enjoyed our stay at Laurie’s Corral. A well appointed and decorated space. Clean, comfortable, in a serene spot but conveniently located to the town of Custer and all of the recreation the Black Hills has to offer. Highly recommend.

What a great property just down the road fro. Down town Custer and game preserve. House was clean and we even enjoyed the dvd collection rewatching pirates of the caribbean. Had a great time and would stay again.

This home was perfect for my son, husband and I!! Loved that although it was a few miles off downtown, it had beautiful views to wake up to! The home was very clean and provided everything we needed. Beds were comfy, main room was spacious, parking was plentiful. We didn't sit outside at night because of our fully-planned days, but the provided chairs and fire pit would have been perfect for relaxing and enjoying the quiet. The host had prompt communication and the check in/check out process was very easy and reasonable. If we ever make it back to Custer, we would absolutely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay. The location was perfectly set between Custer and Custer State Park making it very convenient for us to get to everything we wanted to see easily. Beds and furniture were comfortable and they had everything we needed. We didn’t have much time to just sit and relax because we were always on the go but the view is also beautiful if you have time to just sit on the porch and enjoy it!

We arrived after 9pm, tired, drained from 12 hours travel. The house was easy to find and all the front porch lights were on. What a welcome sight. We flipped a coin for who got which room, but it didn’t really matter since they were both great. It wasn’t until the next morning that we could really appreciate where we were. A wonderful location with a view of open meadows and grazing cattle. There were other homes dotting the landscape but not too close. Deer and rabbits came to visit every day. There was an unfenced yard for the dogs so long as they were on leash.As for the inside, the furnishings were all very comfortable and homey. The house itself was so well maintained it seemed brand new. The kitchen was equipped with modern appliances and adequate cooking utensils. The WiFi worked great.Tom and Laurie were wonderful hosts and we would come back if the opportunity arose.

Country setting close to Custer for great shopping and honestly a perfect hub nearly in the center of all the sites and places of the Black Hills! Not only that, you can see the Cathedral Spires to the right of the southern hill view as you watch the sunrise and set from the patio with a fire pit available too as you get to watch cattle and horses graze in the foreground. As interior goes, decorated to match the ambience of the area, with privacy and an open bathroom with a full kitchen, dining, and living space to provide that homey feel. It's all around a great place to plan your trip in and around the Black Hills!

Great place to stay! Not only is it a quick drive to all the local attractions, but was also clean and comfortable with thoughtful amenities. (Not only did they have coffee and sugar for the coffee maker, but they even had hot chocolate for the non-coffee drinkers- nice touch!) Excellent communication from the hosts.

The place was extremely clean and very well maintained, had everything we needed to cook meals and even grill outside It was located the perfect distance from all the tourist sites and was far enough out of Custer for peace and quiet. The views were amazing from the front seating area and the fire pit was a great way to end the day! We will definitely stay again the next time we vacation in the Black Hills!

I would stay here again and again. This rental is so nicely done and has everything you’d ever need. Property is immaculate and so nicely done. The country setting/view is amazing. My husband and and I and my son and his girlfriend and pup drove from MN and unit 1 attached had MN people we visited with as well. The 4 of us instantly felt right at home. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful country view

The place was so nice and clean. One evening we grilled outside and sat in the provided lawn chairs. The view was amazing. Enjoyed watching Netflix one evening. Will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful view. Plenty of space. Close to everything we were doing. But far enough out of town that it was peaceful and quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

Breath of fresh air!

What an amazing place to stay. We rolled in about 11:45pm and Laurie had the door unlocked for us and the lights on so it was very easy to find from the road and didn’t have to try to figure out the lockbox that late. There was a rollaway bed all ready as well. Everyone had their own space which is always nice when traveling with teenagers! The place is SPOTLESS and had everything we needed. Great location just outside of town. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and you! Laurie was extremely responsive and helpful. Just book it!
