Cosy Corner cottage is a one bedroom open plan retreat situated in a hidden peaceful corner of Baslow within a short distance to its stunning gritstone edge offering an opportunity for walking, wild swimming , rock climbing, cycling, sightseeing or just relaxing . Cosy Corner cottage has been awarded a 5 star certificate of excellence for the 6th year running by Trip Advisor and is within the picturesque village of Baslow in the heart of the Peak District and a short distance away from the famous Chatsworth House and Gardens.

There is unrestricted on road parking however there is no need to drive anywhere with so many attractions literally within walking distance of Cosy Corner Cotttage . Making an evening or daytime stroll to Historic Chatsworth, Froggats Edge or the beautiful town of Bakewell an added photographic opportunity.

Baslow is spoilt by a choice of fine pubs and bars and only a short walk away from Cosy Corner offering hand crafted beer by a local brewery to award winning Michelin star restaurants serving fresh, seasonal food using local ingredients. It really is on your doorstop at Cosy Corner.

Cleanliness has always been of the upmost importance for my guests and therefore

My parents booked this trip for me and my husband for a wedding gift. The cottage is absolutely stunning, just the perfect size for 2 people looking for a romantic weekend away ... we could have stayed longer if we didnt have to come back for work! Perfect as a base to explore the peak district, or even if you just want to stay in and cook a nice meal. Whole place is kitted out with everything you could possibly need, even conditioner in the bathroom! The place was immaculate and the photos really dont do it justice. Loved Cosy Corner, and will definitely be returning at some point. thank you x

Great experience

This little cottage was perfect for a few days of exploring in the Peak District. Conveniently located to historic sites and trails it is easy walking distance to a few restaurant options as well (make sure to check restaurant hours as some are closed on Mondays and/or Tuesdays). Super organized, spotlessly clean, it was perfect.

A heart warming retreat

This cottage is lovely in every way. We were attending a wedding at Chatsworth, so the location was perfect. We loved having space to relax after walking and sight seeing, beats a hotel room hands down. Perfectly appointed

I have always loved the Peak District and having lived and studied in Buxton in my younger years exploring Derbyshire with my family and friends was fantastic whether walking Kinder Scout,Wild swimming, cycling or a picnic by a stream.
When I first walked into Hanover Buildings in Baslow I fell in love with the petiteness and position of the cottage and decided on the name
'Cosy Corner' for my new
adventure !
I always enjoy the little subtle touches I can make during the year and always hope that you will love your stay too !

Why they chose this property

If you enjoy walking ,exploring, bike riding or even caving .Cosy Corner has everything on it's doorstep within a stroll of Chatsworth Estate.
Or
Do you prefer to relax, read and enjoy good food ? Only a few minutes walk away are a choice of Bistro, Michelin star restaurant and pubs.
The choice is yours and with a quiet cottage to come back to a lovely peaceful morning in bed is always an option !

What makes this property unique

Cosy Corner is part of an old chapel. It is small ,warm and very quiet.
Outside through a gate Cosy Corner has a seating area for your afternoon tea. Walking is literally on the doorstep to Chatsworth Estate or The Edges.
A car is not necessary if you prefer to relax locally.
