Fantástico 3 dormitorios / 1 baño amueblado, cabina actualizada con un diseño abierto, techo de pino nudoso, cocina actualizada con gabinetes de arce, mucho espacio de almacenamiento, lavadora / secadora, chimenea, wi-fi, DVD, gran porche de pantalla, lote llano, muelle, playa de arena, excelente observación de aves y una increíble vista al lago. Duerme 7 en camas. Tasas semanales y alquileres a corto plazo también disponibles. Tranquilo y prístino, es un paraíso frente al lago.

Bachelorette Stay

Great area for fun in the sun. Beach area was nice and we loved the shallow water to float in. House was nice and clean. Checking in was easy and even got in early which was appreciated! Screen porch was nice spot to hang out when the mosquitoes came out. Would go back!

Check in was simple! Very private home on the lake. Some maintenance issues arose but the owner was quickly available by text. Nice kitchen and livingroom! The screen porch was perfect for playing board games while it rained. Thinking of a Girl's Weekend trip next here!

Check in Problems

Was never contacted prior to check in and had a very difficult time contacting property manager to get in. Was able to get into the property about 5 hours after our scheduled check in. Other than that the property was great and exactly what we were hoping for.

Great Spot to Relax on the Lake!

Beautiful spot with a sandy beach and a great screened patio! Boat rentals available on the lake for very reasonable prices. Water is super shallow but great to wade and float in!

The shallow beach goes a long way and was awesome for my kids, they played in it for hours! We had a question for the owner, and she responded back politely right away.

Perfect getaway!

Such a beautiful retreat for our family! The swimming beach was perfect for the kids (ages 6 and 8) being quite shallow and with a sandy bottom. The house was great. Kitchen was large and easy to cook in. Communication with Kitzie was super fast and she was so friendly. The icing on the cake was the bald eagles that we were able to watch flying and diving into the lake. Incredible!

Great girls weekend

This place was perfect for our 30th annual girls weekend. If you are looking for a cabin with a beach and water that are pristine, this is the place. Very thoughtful owner and we will definately come back! We loved it.

The open floor plan of the cabin was great! The lake is lovely! Kids loved the shallow water.

The inside of the cabin was very clean and the floor plan was nice for family to be together. The screen porch needed to have the screens cleaned off but once we brushed the cottonwood fluff off the screens it was very nice. The lake was GREAT for young kids swimming. The fishing was also a lot of fun. We saw many eagles, loons, herons, wood peckers and little frogs! We had a very lovely stay.

NOT a Spectacular Lake Retreat

We were disappointed considering how much money we paid: The inside was clean but, the kitchen was not well stocked and in disarray, the kitchen towels and bedding were old and not in good condition. We could not find a control to the a/c to fix the temperature. Also, the back screen door screen was broken, the screened in porch screens were so dirty we could hardly see through them. The porch furniture was dirty and broken, and the grill was disgustingly dirty. We were disappointed in the condition of the outdoors with the dead lawn, weeds, stickers, an ant infestation, broken and dirty lawn chairs, deteriorating picnic table, a deteriorating dock, an unkept beach, especially considering we’re here to spend our time outdoors with a toddler. I could send you photos if you want of all the items listed.

Lovely lakefront cabin!

This place was everything I could ever want in a lakefront spot! The cabin is right on the water with a sandy beach and do I. The water was clear and shallow, perfect for swimming, floating, and paddle boarding. We rented a pontoon at the nearby Lake Edward resort and had a perfect day out on the quiet lake. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials, and the outdoor grill works great as well! Our favorite was playing board games in the huge screened in porch at night - free from bugs and any nighttime chill. The bunk beds in the second bedroom are pretty tiny, so not great for adults, but the other beds were super comfortable. We slept 5 adults very comfortably. The charming town of Nisswa is very close with shopping, ice cream and breweries - a perfect nearby Sunday outing! Thank you so much for a relaxing lake weekend!

Summer Getaway

All was as we expected and then some!! Very cozy cabin, loved the screened porch! We heard and saw the loons, saw some Bald Eagles overhead, and even had a couple of deer walk through the property on multiple occasions! Well equipped kitchen! Loved it all!!

Family getaway

We stayed at the cabin with our 3 kids and my mom. Perfect size place for us. Layout was family friendly with a good sized yard and shallow sandy swimming area all along the long dock. Porch was ideal for our rainy day. Overall a very peaceful, relaxing spot to spend a few days. The neighbor did come over twice to fetch his dogs but it felt a little like we were being checked on. No harm, just overkill. Other than that and a funky smell we remedied by moving a fly trap away from the sitting area we had no complaints.

Nice getaway

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the property. The screened-in porch, nearby lake, and secluded location were wonderful. The host was very responsive throughout our stay, and did her best to work through a few hiccups we encountered throughout the weekend. We were, however, disappointed to learn that check-out was at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Lovely cabin!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cabin. Very comfortable and spacious for two families with young kids. The very large screened in porch is fantastic when the weather is less than perfect, as it was for most of the weekend we visited. It would be helpful to have photos of the bedrooms in the listing though - the smaller bunk bed in the third bedroom did not have a railing on the top bunk, so not really safe/usable for kiddos. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Would absolutely stay here again!

OA did not stay with us in 2016. I believe she is with a group that stayed with us in 2015 and left the cabin in poor shape. Please see our 4 and 5 star guest reviews. The cabin is a magical retreat.

Perfect MN. Lake Getaway

This was a 2 night stay , the cabin had everything anyone would want, it was clean,new appliances, large screened in porch and beautiful view of Lake Edward. Eagles and loons calling were a bonus!! I am in the 55+ and plan to be coming back in the future.

Exceeded Expectations!!!

The cabin was absolutely perfect! The cabin was clean, updated and the lake and yard were beautiful! We enjoyed coffee on the dock, watching eagles fish and listening to the loons calling. This was a last minute 2 night stay but we absolutely will be coming back for a longer stay in the future. Can't say enough about this gem of a find! Beds were comfortable, kitchen is updated and had everything we needed, bathroom is huge and nicely redone. Very quiet and private!

Great cozy cabin (with nice updates) on a quiet lake

We had a fantastic weekend at Kitzies cabin. This cabin sleeps 7, and no more- so if you're planning on having even 8 bring an air mattress! The beds were all very comfortable and the cabin itself was the perfect size. It's an old log cabin that has been updated with a big nice bathroom, washer and dryer, great open kitchen/dining/living room layout. The property itself is also very nice- huge backyard with a bonfire pit and a long dock on the beautiful Lake Edward. We had a couple hiccups when we arrived- the fridge wasn't working properly so we had to empty everything into coolers, and it seemed like the outdoor portion of property wasn't quite ready for us. Two men arrived around 6:00 the night we got there and were cleaning up the beach for almost 2 hours- made it a little awkward while we were enjoying the bonfire. That's the only reason for 4/5 stars- the outside of the cabin needs some love. It's covered in cobwebs and screens are loose making the big screened porch non-mosquito proof. But Kitzie was just trying to make it great for us ;) I would definitely come back to this cabin! Tip- there's a resort on the lake that will let you rent a pontoon for the entire day for only $250, a brand new pontoon! It was perfect. Thanks Kitzie!

Perfect Summer Getaway

This cabin is fantastic! It is on a spacious lot with a great view of Lake Edward, all kitchen essentials, a cozy living room and spacious screened in porch. Our group felt lucky to find this gem and would love to come back again!

Charming and peaceful cabin, responsive owner

This is a charming and peaceful cabin. We stayed there in mid-July 2016. Lake Edward is a quieter lake in the Brainerd Lakes area, which is a key reason that we selected it. It is also the Lake we have family ties to, so that was an added bonus. Lake Edward is shallow for a long way out. We enjoyed walking out to the end of the long dock to swim, as well as to enjoy taking in the lake and the beautiful sunset. There is a fire pit that we enjoyed, too! Roasting marshmallows was my son’s favorite activity. While there is a neighbor just to the west of the property, you could not see the house and it felt like a very private space to stay at. The only time we saw the neighbors is when the owner went out to fish. He was so pleasant. We met while I had my kayak out for a morning tour. This is great lake to take the kayak out on. There are great spaces to watch the birds and just take in the beauty of the day. We stayed there with 5 people – 4 adults and a 4 year old. There are three small bedrooms that are on the backside of the house. They sleep up to 7 people very comfortably, but with only one bathroom that could be challenging. The living room is set up very comfortably – with large window that lets you admire the beauty of Lake Edward. I could see staying here in the winter and enjoying a good book while sitting next to the fire. The kitchen is nicely set up to enjoy a family meal. There is an earlier review that accused the owner of not being amicable and reasonable. This was not my experience at all. We found this cabin because we needed a place to stay for a family funeral – not the general reason to stay at the lake, but as I mentioned we have family ties to Lake Edward. When I first inquired about the cabin I received a call from the owner, Kitzie. She was pleasant and welcoming. When preparing to go to the cabin I had a few follow-up questions. Kitzie responded by email within 24 hours. When we arrived at the cabin, there was a small glitch that we needed assistance with. I contacted Kitzie and her property manager was there within an hour, which is reasonable. As for the deposit, we received a full refund. We treated the property as if it was our own – with respect and care. We would rent this property again. The only downside for us is that it does not take dogs, so we had to kennel ours for the week. Our Golden would have adored this location.

Great for a weekend away

Our group enjoyed our stay in Nissawa on Lake Edward. The cabin sits on a lake with a great view of the lake. The fire pit was great for relaxing and the screened in porch was perfect for when the bugs came out. We would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to stay for the weekend.

A much needed retreat

We really enjoyed our stay. I had forgotten just what an escape it can be in the Northwoods. Our place had everything we required. Kitchen and seating area were more than adequate. Very much enjoyed the quiet lake and the sounds of the loons at night. We had good drawer space and bed was comfortable. Did not use other bedrooms so can't comment on those beds. Washer dryer worked well and liked that the washer had a short cycle. For us it wood have been absolutely perfect if it had one more lazboy, better reading light in the screened porch ( not sure how you could do a floor lamp on a screened porch), better cushions on one set of chairs and couch in the porch. It would be handy to have a couple towel bars in the bath and would save water to have some method to plug the sink in the bathroom. All in all we were happy with the place and would consider returning at another time.
