Two bedroom, completely wheelchair accessible, modern cottage
Mrs Sue Townsend
About Mrs Sue Townsend
I have lived on the farm all of my life, and have been running a B&B for since 2003. The cottage was built by us in 2007 to provide a lovely place for self catering holidays as an extension of our business.
Mrs Sue Townsend purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why Mrs Sue Townsend chose Maidstone
We are very lucky to live in an exceptionally beautiful area in the heart of Kent (The garden of England), but close enough to London, Canterbury, and the coast.
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottage was designed to be completely accessible to wheelchair users, with no thresholds or steps.

Lovely peaceful location, ideal for disabilities.
Enjoyed our stay, great location for a restful break. Lovely gardens, house had every you need. Great bathrooms, especially for my elderly mum.
Wonderful location ,just a short drive away to many National Trust and English Heritage properties .The cottage was perfect for the two of us and our dog ,who loved it that she could go straight out onto the newly mowed fields for her early morning walks. We will miss sitting in the garden and enjoying spotting the local wildlife, moorhens, hawks, rabbits etc.
Sue was very helpful to answer any questions about the locality and anything we might need .
All in all we had a lovely week ,thank you.
A quiet peaceful location
We loved this property. Everything was in it that we needed, except perhaps a potato peeler. (thats a minor thing!)
Very serene and we found it so special.
Thank you and we would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to get away from it all.
So glad you enjoyed your stay. I wish you had told me that the potato peeler was missing. I would have been happy to replace it for you.
Comfortable accommodation in the heart of the countryside.
This cottage is delightful; it met all our needs, being well-equipped and practical for bringing dogs. It's close to Leeds Castle and Sissinghurst, the main reason for our visit, Thank you, Sue for being so helpful and accommodating.
I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay.
Very pleasant stay
Very clean comfortable ground floor annexe to farmhouse surrounded by flowers. Nice outdoor area for warm Spring and Summer evenings. Very quiet area though not far from Maidstone. Will definitely try and stay again sometime!
A little gem in Kent
The cottage was very well appointed and my friend was very impressed with the 'hotel quality' linens. A delightful little patio garden was a real sun trap and we enjoyed tea in the afternoon sun despite it being late October. We didn't get to see everything that we wanted to and so would not hesitate to come back again. Mrs Townsend was very obliging and could not have been more friendly.
Leeds Castle. Sissinghurst Castle. Chatham Dockyard. Chartwell. Dover Castle. Tunbridge Wells. Canterbury. Plus many National Trust and English Heritage properties
