Excellent property with all mod-cons

A most enjoyable stay in this wine-making establishment (the red "Les Frenes" is recommended!). The house itself has been superbly renovated and is completely modern in all it provides. It overlooks a large and reasonably private courtyard with mainly 17th century buildings on three sides and a very lovely outside staircase in one corner. The friendly and helpful hosts are on hand should there be a question, but do not get in the way at all. The boulangerie is about twenty steps outside the gate and also nearby is a general small shop and a bar and pizzeria. A five minute walk away brings you to ViaVino, an educational resource centre about wine which boasts a fine restaurant. The village itself, like the accommodation, is generally very quiet. With a car, Sommieres is only 10 minutes away, as is the A9, providing access to nearby Nimes and Montpellier and so much more. Very highly recommended.
