Champillon ubicado en el corazón de los viñedos de Coteaux d'Eprenay, entre Epernay, capital de Champagne y Reims, la ciudad de Sacres, a 3 km de Hautvillers, cuna del vino de Champagne. Champillon es un pueblo tranquilo entre viñedos y bosques. La cabaña es independiente de la casa de los propietarios, toda la comodidad está asegurada. Desde mayo de 2014, se ha agregado una habitación de 20m2 con baño y ducha para acomodar de 2 a 3 personas adicionales.

A beautiful little home amongst the vineyards.

The wonderful welcome we got from our hosts and the tour of the property made us feel right at home. They organised a Campagne cave tour for us and gave us lots of information about the area. Our accommodation was very well equipped and comfortable. The views of the vineyards and location in the countryside was amazing and very peaceful.

C'est tres Bon!!! Very welcoming.

We were welcomed by a lovely couple, Catherine and Christian. The champagne was absolutely one of the best I've tried Christian! The gite was very clean, tidy, welcoming and the view was fantastic. The stay was only two nights, and we wished it was more. Thank you for the fond memories!

Very friendly hosts in the middle of vineyards

We (3 adults and 1 baby) stayed 1 week in the Logis of Catherine and Christian. The appartment was well equiped and it had everything necessary for a stay with a baby (e.g. bed, baby bath). Catherine & Christian were excellent host. They know the region very well and could recommend us tours and places to visit. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you Catherine & Christian.

Champagne Abounds

Cute little Gite surrounded by vineyards in the heart of Champagne country. Our hosts gave us lots of information about things to do in the region and we recommend at least one tour of how champagne is made. Just be aware that the steps of the Gite are extremely narrow and might be a problem for someone with mobility issues.

Best hosts ever

Catherine and Christian were the best hosts of any VRBO we have ever stayed. They set up a champagne house tour for us before our arrival and greeted us warmly when we arrived. We felt like we were staying with friends. Thé gîte was small but accommodated two people adequately. Stairs going up the the apartment are narrow and there a couple low beams but we worked around those obstacles and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Epernay.

Beautiful

The apartment is over looking a huge vineyard. Outside are beautiful flowers. The inside is very clean and had plenty of cooking utensils. The bed was very comfortable and the A/C worked great. We were there in July and needed it. Plenty of hot water for showers. It is centrally located to visit Champagne Houses and to visit the WWI Memorials. There is space to park you car. A super stay.

Brilliant stay in the Champagne Region

We loved our stay in Champillon. The property is ideally situated around 5 km from Epernay the hear of the Champagne Region. Catherine and Christian went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed every moment we were here. He is a retired Champagne maker and has great contacts in the area. The gite is separate from the house and can comfortably accommodate 2 couples. It is really well equipped with everything you could want. There is a large supermarket 3 km away in Dizy. We thoroughly recommend staying with Catherine and Christian

Amazing hosts, perfect location!

This immaculate gite is located in the tiny town of Champillon, in the heart of the Champagne region. There are champagne houses on almost every corner. I can only echo what previous guests have said about Catherine and Christian. We stayed in three different gites all across France and they were by far the most helpful and welcoming hosts. Their homemade champagne is superb and they are two of the most charming people you will meet. The apartment is well-designed and outfitted for a couple who likes to cook. I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Champagne.

Charming Rural Gite

We loved our 5-day stay in Champillon at this charming gite. Catherine and Christian are wonderful hosts, who have thought of everything international travellers could need. They are also extremely welcoming (with a lovely glass of their family champagne) and helpful with advice about local sights and attractions. The small village of Champillon is only a few kilometres from Epernay and very cute Hautviller (Dom Perignon's grave) is about 2 kms across the valley. Champillon is surrounded by lovely hillsides of grape vines, some of which you can see from a window of the gite. You do need a car as services are very limited in the village. The gite is spacious and extremely well-equipped with air conditioning which was very handy during our stay in early July. If you like self-contained accommodation in a lovely, quiet rural setting with the feeling of a country home, you will not find better.

Entre resorts de luxe et pigeonniers aménagés, il n'est pas toujours facile trouver chaussure à son pied pour un séjour en Champagne. Ce gîte fait exception: au pied des vignes, dans un village vigneron d'un calme absolu, une oasis de confort et d'attention, impeccablement propre et très généreusement équipée. Les propriétaires y ont mis toute leur âme pour que le séjour y soit le plus parfait possible, et cela à un prix plus que décent. Un assemblage d'authenticité et de modernité parfaitement réussi. Inutile de faire l'inventaire des grands vignerons de l'endroit, ils sont archi-réputés. Une adresse que nous gravons dans la pierre (de Champagne bien sûr) pour un futur séjour entre Reims et Epernay. Merci!

Wonderful and unique experience.

Catherine and Christian are very kind hosts. Catherine is very prompt in responding to request and messages. She will assist with providing information regarding Champagne tours and to other historical sites. She provided us with good information regarding the City of Reims. The property itself is very clean. The bed is very comfortable. There are markets in Epernay which is nearby. The flat is separate from the main house allowing privacy to come and go. There are stairs but manageable. Also a nicely decorated beam in the living area which a tall person will need to navigate. The setting has vineyards around it, you really get the sense you are in the middle of the Champagne region. Catherine and her husband will go out of their way to make your visit memorable.

Accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires. Gite: par un escalier un peu raide, on accède au studio très bien aménagé où tout est prévu, il ne manque rien . Au RDC, une chambre, avec salle de bains et WC, se situe au fond d'un couloir. Là aussi c'est très correct. Le gite est idéalement situé pour visiter Reims, Epernay, la foret des faux etc.

Warm, welcoming hosts.

The gite/apartment was great. All the conveniences, including BBC TV. And the champagne area is so peaceful, with rolling hills covered in vineyards. But the stars of the show were Catherine & Christian! Their warmth and friendliness made us feel right at home, They even arranged a cellar tour (in English) at a major champagne producer. Highly recommended.

Perfect ingericht appartement

Ondanks slecht weer een prima tijd gehad in "ons appartement" in Champillon. Na een hartelijke ontvangst met champagne werden we naar ons appartement gebracht wat voorzien is van alles wat je van een vakantiewoning mag verwachten. We hebben een heerlijke rustige tijd gehad op het Franse platteland.

Chaleureux, convivial, familial et humain.

Gîte très agréable et "cosy". Décoré avec soin, recherche, goût. De plus, tout y est pour y passer un séjour tout confort ( équipement complet et au "top" jusque dans la jolie vaisselle ). Rien ne manque. Propreté irréprochable, à se demander si l'on n'est pas le premier locataire ! L'accueil est du même ordre...devinez ! A l'arrivée, après la fatigue de la route, il vous est proposé un raffraîchissement. On imagine une orangeade, que nenni ! On vous offre une boisson fraîche, d'une jolie couleur dorée, avec des bulles...oui, c'est cela, ce doux et délicieux "breuvage" dont les Champenois sont si fiers, à raison. Ensuite, on vous installe dans votre "home" de vacances avec gentillesse et discrétion. Au passage, on vous explique le fonctionnement de tout l'électroménager et autres appareils ou ustensiles de la maison. On remarque le bouquet de fleurs du jardin, tout juste cueillies pour votre arrivée. Quelle délicate attention ! Mais ce n'est pas fini, on vous offre aussi des légumes et salades du potager ! Et puis, on peut même avoir la chance de rencontrer un peu famille ou amis des propriétaires et de partager ( au vrai sens du mot partage ) un superbe moment de convivialité. En bref, un très agréable séjour sur tous les plans. Seul bémol, on aurait presque envie de nouer une relation amicale avec Catherine et Christian mais je pense que c'est un souhait partagé par tous leurs locataires successifs et les maîtres des lieux s'en trouveraient sans doute complètement débordés ! Allez-y, vous ne regretterez pas et cette adresse est de surcroît idéalement située pour visiter cette belle région. Marie

A charming place and great hosts! I fully recommend "Le Logis du Vendangeur"

Mr. and Mrs. Autréau know very well how to make you feel at home. In first place, prior to the arrival Mrs. Autréau kindly offered us to book a Champagne cave visit. At arrival, we noticed in the front window that our country flag was beside France one waiting for our arrival. A very kind detail. Just as we unloaded the bags and after the formal explanations about the rules to follow at the premises, Mr. and Mrs. Autréau kindly invited us with a bottle of champagne of his personal cellar. It was a great occasion to have further insights about the region. During our staying they were worried about us getting the most out of the experience in Champagne region, suggesting us to call them if we needed some further insights or details on where to go or do. We really felt at home at "Le Logis du Vendangeur". There is a nice BBQ outside and you can eat either in or outside upon weather. The house has a nice & clean view to the vineyards and from there you can walk through vineyards or woods, with stunning views near the house.
