Nice place.

Very nice and convenient place. Quite noisy road next to the property. It is a group of 3 houses, and if you are.unlucky enough to have partying and noisy neighbors, your stay could be hell ( this is what happened to us but fortunately only the 3 last nights of our stay)

A gem in Crete

We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Chara. We fell in love with some of the friendly neighborhood cats and hope you will too! They enjoyed some nourishment that we picked up at the little grocery market that's just up the road where the prices were very reasonable. The property is quiet and beautiful. Although we traveled all over the island during the week we were there, we could have easily just stayed at the villa and enjoyed all of the charms that it has to offer.

Incredible visit to Crete and stay in a modern, lovely home

Though this home is a few km from the beach, restaurants, shops, etc, it is an incredibly nice and peaceful oasis in the middle of a large olive grove and with a view of the mountains. The house is very modern with 2 pools and 1 jacuzzi pool. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable during our entire stay. The inside is wonderful but the outside areas are even better, with plenty of outside seating, tables, etc. The only thing we needed while there that the home doesn't have is a dryer for our washed clothes. But that is more of a suggestion than a complaint. We loved our stay in Crete and in this home!

Fantastic Villa

Fantastic week staying in this very luxurious modern villa. Yes there are 2 pools and 1 Jacuzzi and the photos are as seen. Breakfast and Diner under the pergola was really nice too. The Host Kat. was really nice and helpful and treated us to home made Moussaka which was very very nice ( 5* for the home cooking too). The Villa was easy to find on the road from Panormo to Parama just look for the villa Dimitrios sign about 5 minutes from the main highway. The villa had good wifi and we were able to use the TV and a laptop for stuff like netflix when kids were in bed rather than Crete TV. Rooms were great and the villa had a washing machine and dish washer. The Pools were a little on the chilly side in April, but this didn't stop the kids from having a great time(Just stopped us wimpy adults from getting too cold) . Small play park was additional from the photos and great for 2 - 5 year olds. We'd highly recommend this villa as we had a fantastic stay and holiday

Beautiful

From booking this property to checking out at end of holiday, we had contact and questions answered at all times. Our flight was delayed going to Crete so we didn’t arrive until hours later than expected, but we were kept informed on how to enter the villa etc. The owner (Eva) came to visit us the next morning to make sure everything was okay and to answer any questions we had. Eva is a lovely friendly lady and even made us a traditional Greek dish halfway through our stay, (which was so tasty😋). Everything you could possibly need is available in the villa, it is like home from home. In our party we had a full time wheelchair user & an elderly person, they both managed fine getting around the property. The villa is stunning inside and out, the pools & jacuzzi are clean and relaxing. You have choice of where you want to sit and can always be in the sun throughout the whole day if required. We had a few cats visit us at the villa, they were friendly and didn’t cause any bother. If you don’t want the cats to be around then I would advise you to not feed them. But overall this villa is amazing and you won’t be disappointed 😊. Thankyou Villa Chara for a wonderful two weeks!!

Great villa in a lovely spot

We stayed for a week in late August and arrived just as a thunderstorm had passed. The villa was clean and well appointed and we lots of fun exploring the place and deciding where to sleep. The pictures of the villa were a good guide to the look and feel of the place. There were plenty of things in the villa to help with our stay, including plenty of crockery and a dishwasher. We were greeted well on arrival and shown around the villa to make sure we knew where everything was. The villa is in a private spot with great views. The teens and child were all able to find things to do and - as other have mentioned - the WiFi was well able to cope with a modern families needs. The villa was well place to explore the whole Island, we went to a water park in Heraklion, but arrived into Chania. Rethymno was great for the beach (with the sea warm near the shore) with plenty of places to eat and get souvenirs. We walked into Perama a couple of times and found the town to be welcoming. There was nothing that we would comment on at all about the accommodation that we felt would prevent us from returning to the villa - in fact, we are considering when we can come back again. We do however have a few minor things that we felt are worth bearing in mind: 1. While the kitchen is well appointed and looked after there was a lot of stuff available that actually meant there was not a huge amount of storage for food (other than the fridge/freezer). We ended up using a wardrobe in one of the rooms to store some of our food, even for a week. This is obviously minor but if you plan to self cater as much as you can be prepared for this. 2. All of the bathrooms were functional, however they were not all quite as high spec as the rest of the villa. Again not something that would prevent us returning, but the owners might want to consider updating these soon to maintain the standard of the villa for the future. We're grateful to have been able to holiday and look forward to returning once we are able to.

Prettige villa in rustige omgeving

We hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf en dan met name van de tuin, het zwembad en de terrassen van de villa. Er zijn buiten rondom veel fijne plekjes om te zitten of luieren, zon of schaduw. En overal heb je mooi uitzicht. Je hebt een auto nodig om naar de omliggende dorpen te gaan. In afstand is het niet ver, maar wij vonden het niet veilig genoeg om te fietsen of lopen (drukke wegen). Panormos aan de kust is een leuk gezellig dorp met een aantal goede restaurants. De slaapkamers zijn dik in orde; lekkere bedden, voldoende kastruimte en uitstekende airco. Het contact met de huiseigenaren was heel prettig; snel en effectief. Op aanvraag werd er schoongemaakt en dat was super! Naar verhouding vonden wij de keuken wat klein en er was geen plek om binnen met 8-en aan een tafel te zitten bijvoorbeeld om te eten (hoewel het een 8-persoons huis is). Wij houden van lekker kokkerellen op vakantie en dan was de keuken voor 2 gezinnen (met grote kinderen) echt aan de kleine kant.

Delightful villa

Delightful villa very much geared to outdoor living with 3 great seating areas and pools. You need the sun though to enjoy these fully and in the 1st week of October we didn't get that. This naturally meant that we spent more time indoors than we would have liked and the interior felt a bit cramped with no space where we could all (6) sit and have a meal together for instance. The ever presence of several cats was also an irritation as we could not leave doors open especially as we had a 10-month old baby with us.

Tolles Haus, tolle Pools

Das Haus war sehr schön und wir haben die Ferien mit beheiztem Pool sehr genossen. Die Betreuung war vorab und vor Ort super. Vielen Dank. Das einzige, was uns etwas gestört hat, war die Strasse gleich hinter dem Haus. Man ist deshalb zwar schnell im nächsten Ort aber manchmal war es auch laut.

Tolle Villa und sehr nette Gastgeber

Wir (Gruppe von 3 Pärchen) waren im April 2019 zu Gast in dieser Villa. Die Villa liegt sehr ruhig, von den Nachbarn (ebenfalls Ferienhäuser) hatte man kaum etwas gehört. Rethymnon und Bali sind in weniger als 30 min zu erreichen. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Die Besitzerin war sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und jederzeit erreichbar (selbst etwas Feuerholz für ein gemütliches Feuer am Grillplatz war kein Problem). Einziges Manko der Villa ist der fehlende Essbereich im Haus, bei Regen muss man auf ein Restaurant zum Essen ausweichen. Super Außenbereich und bei schönem Wetter sehr empfehlenswert. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen.

Super Ferienhaus mit toller Ausstattung

Es waren zwei tolle Wochen in der Villa Chara wir haben den Aufwnthalt sehr genossen. Trotz der anfänglich kühlen Temperaturen könnten wir durch unseren beheizten Pool jeden Tag schwimmen gehen. Die Reinigungskräftw kamen jeden 3. Tag und machten die Betten neu und tauschten Handtücher aus. Die Küche, die Betten und alles drum herum war gut ausgestattet. Wir waren restlos begeistert.

An amazing villa for a family vacation

We stayed at the villa for a week and loved every second. The owner, Eva, is so kind and welcoming, it was really a pure plesure! Every problem we had (what do eat, lost the remote control) was answered with great care and attention. One afternoon Eva came with a beautiful cake for us! So the hospitality was perfect!!! The house is completely equipped and is very comfortable for a family with kids. There is no doubt that the OUTDOOR is the most important and useful part. Amazing sitting area, great pools (2!!) playground - we could spend all day at the villa and not feel the time passes. Thank you Eva for a wonderful stay!! Hope to see you soon

Great Holidays

The house is as good as the picture show it. The wheather was great as you could expect. The contact with the owner and manager was very good and fast. Every question will be answered and every wish will come true on crete and especially in Villa Chara.

Trés bon séjour confortable en Créte

Maison très agréable, moderne et propre.Propriétaire attentionnée, et accueil sympathique. Les piscines sont agréables, bien entretenues, l'espace extérieur également. Un seul petit bémol, la proximité de la route qui apporte du passage et quelques nuisances sonores ainsi qu'un petit manque d'équipement en terme de vaisselle.....Sinon, propriété très bien située pour une visite de l'ouest et centre crétois.

super schönes Ferienhaus

Wir haben 1 Woche in dem schönen Haus Urlaub gemacht. Der Pool wurde beheizt, was im Oktober super war! Das Haus ist stylisch und hochwertig eingerichtet. Um ein Problem im Bad wurde sich sofort gekümmert. Es war alles sauber und wir haben sogar einen Handtuchwechsel bekommen. Im nächsten Dorf war ein kleiner Supermarkt und ein phantastischer Bäcker zur Selbstverpflegung. Die Tavernen in der Nähe waren aber auch gut und günstig zum Essen gehen....!

Outstanding in every way!

We arrived at the villa and were instantly impressed as it was even better than in the pictures. Eva came straight over to show us how to use everything and see if we needed anything....but everything had been thought of. Throughout our stay Eva and Dimitrios were on call for anything we might need....taxi numbers and even matches for the BBQ.....they couldn't have done more for us if they tried. We also had a very thorough mid week clean and all linens were changed. There were plenty of towels, including pool towels which was handy as it saved us taking our own. During our stay Eva cooked us a delicious Moussaka, such a kind and thoughtful host. We loved staying here so much that we are planning on returning next year and taking all of our family. Thank you so much for a fab holiday.....see you on our return!

Wunderschöne Ville zum Verweilen

Mir und meiner Familie hat es mehr als nur gut gefallen. Es war einfach super. Alles war perfekt. Ganz herzlichen Dank auch an Eva für den sehr netten Empfang und das Umsorgen, das Besorgen der Artikel die wir für den ersten Abend und Morgen benötigten und wir als Willkommenspresent erhalten haben. Auch für den super feinen Dessert „Milfeig“ er war sooo lecker. Das nächste Mal werden wir sicher auch das Moussaka probieren. Das Haus ist ein Traum, und der Service ist super. Jeden Abend kommt der Poolreiniger und 1x in der Woche das Mädchen zum Putzen, welches auch alles aufräumt. Kompliment ! Die Lage ist auch sehr gut, man erreicht vieles in kurzer Zeit. Wir haben, nebst dem super schönen Pool und warmen Jacuzzi, vor allem auch den Grill draussen genossen und die vielen verschiedenen Sitzplätze. Es war einfach rundum ein gelungener Aufenthalt. Die Villa Chara ist sehr sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. (hoffentlich bald) Ganz liebe Grüsse, Christine

Fantastic holiday base (even with teenagers!)

We have had a lovely time staying at Villa Chara. The impressive villa has everything you can think of and as others have said, if there is anything else you require Eva gets it straight away for you. We were most impressed by the outside living space, an area for every part of the day. The weather was mixed but seeing as though we visited in October half term it has been better than expected! Some days hot enough for sunbathing around the pool, the cloudier days spent exploring the local area and even taking a dip in the warm sea! Jumpers were only required for the cooler evenings. Only book this villa if you are comfortable driving abroad, both Panormos and Perama are a short drive away, however there is a local taxi service. The internet was good enough for three teenagers to all watch various things at the same time. Overall, we have all had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this villa for both exploring and relaxing. My only disappointment was that the advertised 'hot tub' was not heated at all and was the same temperature as the main pool and therefore a little too chilly to use at all at the end of October. Thank you to Eva, we have had a great time!
