About the property

2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath with a one car garage, and a privately fenced backyard.

This home is uniquely located at the narrow part of the peninsula allowing convenient access to both the ocean and the river. Daytona's World's Most Famous Beach is a short three block walk or a one minute drive and just steps to the river. Nestled in a quiet Daytona Beach Shores neighborhood, it is minutes from the Ocean Center, the Speedway, Main Street and the airport. As we have done to our other vacation rentals, this home has been remodeled and updated all the while maintaining Florida charm. When you first arrive and walk into this two bedroom, 1 1/2 bath Florida cottage you will be delighted to see the open, bright and airy floorpan with beautifully polished terazzo floors and a new kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The home has an attached one car garage and a landscaped and fenced in backyard which is professionally maintained which makes the perfect place to have a cookout or your morning coffee.

Our home has a king bedroom, a queen bedroom and a queen pullout sofa located in the living room. We have equipped our home with everything you should need from salt and pepper shakers to beach towels and everything in between except your groceries, including Beach Mist Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Lotion and Soap!

Perfectly located in the beautiful Daytona Beach Shores area, where you can easily walk three blocks to the 'World's Most Famous Beach' to watch the sun rise, stroll on the sand or enjoy a play in the surf or walk steps to witness an abundance of beautiful sunsets and marine life and water birds at the river's edge across the street. This home is conveniently located to everything Daytona Beach has to offer without the noise or crowds but is still minutes from the Boardwalk and waterpark, Ocean Center, Main Street, which is famous for Bikeweek and Biketoberfest and the Nascar International Speedway.

There are several restaurants located nearby, some of which you can walk to along with two nearby grocery stores and pharmacies and a convenience store, gas station, marina, boat rentals and jetski rentals and other assorted water sport related rentals.

One of Daytona's best kept secrets is a quaint and rustic Pat's Riverfront Cafe which is located in the marina next door, a great place for breakfast and lunch.

About Cynthia and George Nour

We are both native Floridians. George was born in Daytona Beach and I moved here in 1972. We have chosen to live in the Daytona Beach area and our home is located near this vacation home.

Cynthia and George Nour purchased this house in 2014

Why Cynthia and George Nour chose Riverview

This home has a great location, and it is located in a nice, quiet residential neighborhood with easy access to both ocean and river activities.

What makes this house unique

We chose this home for family and friends because of its proximity to our home and the beach. This area has so many outdoor activities to choose from including surfing, bicycling, boating, walking the beach, kayaking the river, standup paddle boarding, jet skiing, waterskiing and so much more!

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is the best place that we have ever rented including George and Cindy's other home we stayed in on another vacation. It is the cleanest which is hard to find. George and Cindy, the owners, are the best in the world. They are always available to answer any questions you might have. We will never stay anywhere else when in Daytona. The have really become great friends to us. Wonderful, Wonderful - Hate to go home!

Very nice, quiet, and super clean. A great getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was exactly as advertised: quiet, clean, and just a few minutes walk to public park beach access. The beach gear (chairs, umbrella, towels, etc) was a nice addition to the already well-appointed house. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it was really convenient to be able to do laundry during our visit. We also appreciated being able to pull our car into the garage.

We appreciated the very clean bathrooms. The larger bathroom with a tub and shower hasn't been updated and the tub drain doesn't seal, so don't plan to take baths here. That said, there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure for showers, and plenty of clean towels/linens in the closets. The love seat and chairs were adequate in the living room, but it was even more comfy to pile into the (very comfortable) king bed to enjoy some reading and TV.

We loved being able to walk right across the street to Pat's Riverfront Cafe in the mornings to have breakfast overlooking the water. It was also a nice walk or a quick drive to several restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, etc. We visited the Speedway in Daytona for several races, and it was just under half an hour's drive to the free parking in lot 7 - and traffic wasn't bad at all, even during speed weeks.

We definitely recommend this place and we'll consider it for our next trip, too.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the great review! We were not aware that the bathroom tub drain was not working properly. We have a maintenance crew and it will be scheduled immediately to be fixed. Thank you again!

Clean, classy, fun, & great location!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great vacation home! It's situated right in the midst of everything. Whether you're going to the lighthouse, sugar mills or Boardwalk, it's an easy drive in every direction. It's also extremely walkable with just a few short blocks to the beach, shops, and a very cool little diner down on the water right across the street. The house owner, Cynthia, was incredibly helpful and kind. The house is also perfectly appointed & well-kept. You can tell the owners take great pride in this property. They also have fabulous decorating taste ;) If you make a quick trip to Publix right down the road you won't need anything else for your stay. We traveled with two small service dogs and we really appreciated the secure backyard, all the lovely greenery, and the included table and grill. What a peaceful, relaxing place to come home to after a day of surfing. We would not hesitate to stay here again! Thank you so much for having us. We absolutely adore your property! (ask Cynthia if you need surf camp or instructor recommendations!)

This beach house is simply perfect!

  • 5 of 5

From the beginning of booking with Cynthia, this trip started out fantastic! She was so sweet and helpful. The beach house is breathtaking and I love every feature of it! It included everything you would need for the beach and during your stay all you have to buy is food! There is a little breakfast spot right on the water next door. You can walk right down a boat ramp a few steps out of the door to catch hermit crabs right next to the dock. We watched the sunset on the dock while dolphins swam around us (seriously amazing!) My 4 yr old loved chasing the lizards in the backyard! Two second drive to drive onto the beach and close to everything! This beach house is just perfect and we will definitely be returning soon! We have found our new home away from home! Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay!

Charming, comfortable, pristine beachside home

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this charming and comfortable beachside home! The owners George and Cindy have done such a thoughtful renovation and the whole place sparkles inside and out. My husband and I and our mini poodle were in town for a wedding and would have liked to stay more than just a week but at least we made the most of it. The dog had fun running after his ball in the back yard and taking walks around the neighborhood. We enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and dining room as well as the lovely patio and grill out back and especially liked relaxing with a sunset cocktail in the pink chairs out front. Location could not be better – quiet neighborhood yet convenient to everything. This one’s a winner in every way.
