A very welcoming host and a beautifully situated property with terrace right on the river. Easy parking in the street. We enjoyed our stay.Just one observation if you have mobility issues, access to the upstairs bedroom is via a quite steep, ladder like staircase; though it can be accessed using the staircase of the main house if necessary.

Very nice stay
Pleasant apartment with historic character as well as a beautiful and spaceful terrace with direct view to the river.
A very friendly and hospitable landlord with lots of information about the village and life in the region
We were unfortunate enough to catch Covid on our journey to the place and Alex could not have been more helpful. She is a thoughtful and considerate person and made it tolerable for us, helping us in any way she could. The building is about 700 years old, full of character and the view from the terrace over the Dordogne is magnificent.

Thank you very much for choosing to stay at Les Terraces. Gutted that Covid meant that you weren't able to actually have a holiday, but glad that we were able to make life a little less miserable for you - running errands was the very least that we could do for you during your isolation. It would appear that there are some benefits to having the owner living very close by!
I hope that you'll think about coming back and actually get to see more than the flat and the view from the terrace!
Our stay at this amazing property was really off the charts! VRBO gives you a 1-10 system to review properties. This beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property was a dream! Our host, Alex, is simply the best! She and her friend Loïc welcomed us for a 2 week stay. We were on a search for a possible home in the region. She had not only put a wonderful bottle of Rose in the refrigerator, but had stocked it with other items that we had requested. The property sits directly on the river Dordogne with a magnificent view. Comfortable living room and extremely well appointed kitchen were just part of the very comfortable stay. Our host Alex responded to our every need, helped us learn the area, directed us to several great finds, including an awesome cheese outlet! Her 2 adorable Boxers became our new best friends!
The beds were very comfortable, the towels were big, and the 2 level space really felt like home after our stay! We can’t wait to return! The town of St. Foy La Grande is a great place to base out of to tour the Dordogne region. Alex introduced us to the marvelous, Saturday regional market! Thursday nights there is a Marche Gourmande. Great restaurants abound in the region! And I personally ate more canard (duck) than the law should allow! And did I mention the amazing wine from the region! But truly the stars of this VRBO property are Alex and Loïc! Now we consider them wonderful, new, long term friends. We will return many times!!! You will too!!!
Thank you Alex for being such a gracious host. Lovely apartment, beautiful view out over the Dordogne river from the terrace. Well equipped kitchen, and a short walk from the market
The apartment was lovely, host was super welcoming, and views were amazing. We had everything we needed to make it our home (during a time when no restaurants were open) and if we had a question, Alex had the answer right away! Because we were there in the coldest days of winter, we didn't get to enjoy the lovely terrace, but we will certainly be back!
We (2 couples) spent the most relaxing time here, watching the Dordogne flow peacefully in the sunshine, sipping the Rose on the terrace. The location was stunning; all the local facilities of Sainte-Foy in walking distance, but because of the view it felt as though you were in the county. The apartment was very well appointed, beds comfortable and it was cool inside if you needed to get away from the heat. We tend to buy local ingredients and cook whilst we’re away and the facilities allowed us to do this easily. Alex was a marvellous host, knowledgeable and entertaining, inviting us for drinks and nibbles on her high terrace.
Thank you Alex and Bella 😀

Cozy and accommodating with a peaceful view of the river.
Alex and Graham are wonderful hosts! On several occasions we were invited to join them for food and wine and had wonderful conversations. Made mom and I feel like we were with family. The apartment gives you that French country feel and is very comfortable. The electric heating mattress for the beds and heated towel bars were a definit plus! The availability of English satellite TV as well as French TV and WiFi were also a pleasant bonus. Mom and I visit Family in Sainte Foy every year and will definitely stay with Alex and Graham next year! --Maryland, USA
