The Mowhay at Trevowhan lies on the unspoiled north coast of the Land's End Peninsula, midway between St Ives and Land's End. Trevowhan is a peaceful hamlet of granite cottages and the Mowhay, with its unbeatable sea views, stands in spacious surroundings within the owners' property. It is a few hundred metres from the Cornwall Coastal Footpath and has National Trust fields and moorland hills behind.

The Mowhay is on the upper floor of a traditional granite barn and has its own large private garden and parking area. The property has a spacious lounge with sweeping views from all windows, There is a newly modernised kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom with shower. Access is by a stepped ramp with guard rail.

Trevowhan is only a few miles from Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Sennen and St Ives and is an ideal base for exploring the area. The beautiful Portheras Beach is just over a mile away while some of the finest walking country in Cornwall is within a few minutes of The Mowhay. There is a good selection of eating places and pubs within two miles in either direction. The nearest shop is two miles to the west in the village of Pendeen and Penzance is a fifteen minute drive away.

Excellent location - Comfortable and very clean property

We were looking for peace and quiet and we found it !! Friendly welcome from Des and Pauline and they were always available if we needed anything. Views from Mowhay - sea view in one direction and beautiful countryside in another.

We had a lovely stay in this well located cottage. So nice to have a welcome drinks and biscuits waiting for you when you arrive.

Great information pack with loads of ideas of things to do. Everything you need in the cottage and very comfy bed 😃

The Mowhay, Morvah

We decided this year to re-visit Cornwall where we had spent many happy holidays with our two sons who are now grown up. The Mowhay is tucked away in a small hamlet and we really enjoyed our week’s stay there. The cottage has everything you need with large lounge, modern kitchen with all amenities and comfortable bed. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, lovely scenery and the huge Cornish skies. At night the stars were beautiful as were the sunsets over the sea. We watched wildlife from the window. It is ideally situated for visiting all the area between Penzance and St Ives and further afield if necessary.

Pauline and Des made us feel very welcome and we had a tray of tea and Cornish biscuits for our arrival. There is a nice garden to sit in which is secluded.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to return in the future.

A wonderful 5 nights in a comfortable and quiet apartment in the countryside away from the main road

We spent 5 nights here in June and found the apartment comfortable, well equipped and quiet. It has a garden with suitable furniture which we enjoyed every day. It is well situated to visit the sights of the far southwest of Cornwall from the romano-british and tin mining archaeology to the arts of St Ives and smaller, local galleries as well as a number of interesting cafes and eateries within a few miles. Our own transport was essential.

We had a most interesting but relaxing stay and were warmly welcomed by the owners, Pauline and Des.

A comfortable barn with fantastic views.

We found the property offered easy parking and a wonderful elevated view over surrounding countryside with owls flying in the evening and swallows darting in and out of barns.

Very clean and warm - comfortable bed.

We would like to return soon. Owners very helpful particularly when we needed to recharge the car battery. Such a help!

Lovely break

The property was neat tidy and warm, we really enjoyed our break in Cornwall. It was an ideal location for walking and exploring the Lizard and Lands End.
