About Cynthia L. Quick
I am a native New Orelanian who has been in the hospitality business for over twenty years. I love the discovery of travel and feel fortunate to have visited many different countries and continents over the years both as a solo traveler and with family and friends. These experiences have influenced how I have arranged my property to welcome guests though Vacation Home Rentals. From a functional kitchen full of the pots and pans and spices you would need , to comfy beds, good strong showers, a relaxing front porch and secluded private garden, hopefully I have thought of everything to make your stay memorable.
Cynthia L. Quick purchased this House in 1995
Why Cynthia L. Quick chose Milan
The home is in Uptown Garden Distict in New Orleans 2 blocks from the St. Charles Avenue and the streetcar which provides easy access to the French Quarter and Tulane and Loyola universities. The street is full of residential homes built at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century with world famous architecture. The neighborhood was originally part of the Bouligny Plantation and was annexed as part of the city in the early 1900s. Live Oak, magnolia and palm trees line the street as do sweet olive and camellia bushes and many tropical fauna common to the New Orleans area. You will find peace and quiet on the street and can sit up on the wide porch and watch the world go by but we are close by to many restaurants and shopping which make New Orleans an ideal vacation spot. We are literally around the corner from Martin’s Wine Cellar a family owned business providing wine spirits, wonderful sandwiched, cakes, and deli foods.
What makes this House unique
The gracious homes and live oak trees which form a canopy spanning the wide lanes is a short two blocks away. In addition to Martin’s Wine Cellar the Cleaver & Co. providing locally sources meat is two blocks away. The French Quarter is a fifteen minute streetcar ride and Audubon Park and its world famous zoo is a quick ten minute ride in the opposite direction. Many neighborhood eateries are close by as well. Hop on over to Magazine St and you'll find over three miles of locally owned restaurants and unique shops, art galleries and antique stores. The Garden District with it’s beautiful mansions and the Layfayette Cemetery are also within close walking distance.

Perfect Place for Family Gathering!
My family gathered here for my mother's 70th birthday -- we had a fantastic time in the beautiful, spacious and clean home. We loved hanging out on the porch in the mornings and taking walks through the neighborhood. We would absolutely stay here again when we return to New Orleans!
Good times in NOLA
Southern Comfort was perfect for our group of three couples! Despite the record rain, we were dry and comfortable...wonderful location and great accommodations. We took Lyft or Uber everywhere and had a fine time.
Basically, we ate our way through New Orleans and enjoyed every minute!
Great house in the perfect location.
Great place and location! Very clean and homey! Loved coffee in the morning on the porch!
GREAT TIME IN NOLA
We had a blast, six of us enjoyed this great home and didn't want to leave. The home is very spacious and clean. Walking distance to many sites, stores, and food. Cyndee was very hospitable and made our trip very pleasurable...This home is a great find....
Our stay at Southern Comfort
My three college girlfriends and I travel once a year to a new place to catch up and explore. This past weekend we had the good luck to base ourselves at this beautiful home. It gave us a spacious and lovely place to gather and be perfectly positioned to explore all that NoLA has to offer. Located between the lively French quarter and beautiful Audubon Park and uptown area, the house is in a quiet neighborhood but two blocks from a great wine store and a few cute shops. Also it is two blocks from St. Charles Street where we were able to catch the cable car. But the best was coming back from a busy touring day to the peaceful backyard garden where we could talk about the day, have a glass of wine and get ready for an evening of activities. Thank you to Cindee for all of her hospitality.
Beautiful home in great neighborhood
We loved relaxing on the big front porch in the great New Orleans spring weather. The home is beautifully furnished and was super clean. We also loved that it was within walking distance to many restaurants and a couple of blocks from the streetcar.
We are only 2 blocks from the St. Charles Ave. streetcar, you have easy access to the Garden District, Tulane and Loyola Universities, the French Quarter, the Morial Convention Center, and the vibrant shopping and nightlife of Uptown and Magazine Street.
