About Cynthia L. Quick

I am a native New Orelanian who has been in the hospitality business for over twenty years. I love the discovery of travel and feel fortunate to have visited many different countries and continents over the years both as a solo traveler and with family and friends. These experiences have influenced how I have arranged my property to welcome guests though Vacation Home Rentals. From a functional kitchen full of the pots and pans and spices you would need , to comfy beds, good strong showers, a relaxing front porch and secluded private garden, hopefully I have thought of everything to make your stay memorable.

Why Cynthia L. Quick chose Milan

The home is in Uptown Garden Distict in New Orleans 2 blocks from the St. Charles Avenue and the streetcar which provides easy access to the French Quarter and Tulane and Loyola universities. The street is full of residential homes built at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century with world famous architecture. The neighborhood was originally part of the Bouligny Plantation and was annexed as part of the city in the early 1900s. Live Oak, magnolia and palm trees line the street as do sweet olive and camellia bushes and many tropical fauna common to the New Orleans area. You will find peace and quiet on the street and can sit up on the wide porch and watch the world go by but we are close by to many restaurants and shopping which make New Orleans an ideal vacation spot. We are literally around the corner from Martin’s Wine Cellar a family owned business providing wine spirits, wonderful sandwiched, cakes, and deli foods.

What makes this house unique

The gracious homes and live oak trees which form a canopy spanning the wide lanes is a short two blocks away. In addition to Martin’s Wine Cellar the Cleaver & Co. providing locally sources meat is two blocks away. The French Quarter is a fifteen minute streetcar ride and Audubon Park and its world famous zoo is a quick ten minute ride in the opposite direction. Many neighborhood eateries are close by as well. Hop on over to Magazine St and you'll find over three miles of locally owned restaurants and unique shops, art galleries and antique stores. The Garden District with it’s beautiful mansions and the Layfayette Cemetery are also within close walking distance.

We absolutely loved the house, loved being so close to the parade route. All the comforts of home were readily available to us. Will definitely return next year.

Beautiful & Spactacular

  • 5 of 5

From the moment you walk up to the steps of this charming and elegant home you feel at ease and comfortable. Everything is here to make your stay more enjoyable. From a fully stocked kitchen that has dishes towels all the linens for the beds and toiletries such as shampoo lotion conditioner-mini more towels. It couldn’t of been more comfortable. And then while enjoying the home you can enjoy the magnificent dining room and four-year area with which is very comfortable and inviting. We had so much fun here in New Orleans in this home made it even more enjoyable.

Beautiful Home in a lovely neighborhood.

  • 4 of 5

This home is perfect for anyone who appreciates the details of an older home and antiques. The home has 3 nice sized bedrooms each with a private bath. The front porch is great for relaxing and chatting. Great home for a large family or couples traveling together. The location was perfect for us, since we wanted to visit the music district, Market Street and garden district, and stay a good distance from Bourbon Street. The trolley was a block away, a reasonable walk. The amenities listed included a washer and dryer, but the house did not have a set. We were traveling for 2 weeks and needed this service and noted that this home included that, which was somewhat disappointing and inconvenient. We did experience one hiccup during our stay, but the owner addressed it and rectified it to our satisfaction. Other than the washer and dryer missing, the home was just as described on the listing.

Home is located in a quiet neighborhood with a welcoming front porch. Owner was very gracious and great to interact with. Conveniently located near the St Charles trolley for easy access to most places in city of interest. Our group of 3 couples enjoyed our stay.
