This raised center hall home built in 1910 is the perfect place home base for your stay in New Orleans. With three bedrooms and three full bathrooms, you have plenty of privacy. One of the bedrooms has an adjoining sun porch suite with an additional bed, perfect for young families. The house has a full kitchen, and a large dining room if you want to cook at home, a sunny living room, perfect for getting together and planning your day’s activities. The large porch has rocking chairs and swings to help you take full advantage of the residential neighborhood, feel like a local and have a glass of wine and relax looking out over the fabulous architectural detail of the neighboring homes which make New Orleans so famous. Lastly we have a lush tropical courtyard, secreted away in the back of the home, let the tropical vegetation and water sounds of the fountain lull you back to a different era where we slowed down to enjoy good conversation and the stars above.

I love the discovery of travel and feel fortunate to have visited many different countries and continents over the years both as a solo traveler and with family and friends. Why Cynthia L. Quick chose Milan

The home is in Uptown Garden Distict in New Orleans 2 blocks from the St. Charles Avenue and the streetcar which provides easy access to the French Quarter and Tulane and Loyola universities. The street is full of residential homes built at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century with world famous architecture. The neighborhood was originally part of the Bouligny Plantation and was annexed as part of the city in the early 1900s. Live Oak, magnolia and palm trees line the street as do sweet olive and camellia bushes and many tropical fauna common to the New Orleans area. You will find peace and quiet on the street and can sit up on the wide porch and watch the world go by but we are close by to many restaurants and shopping which make New Orleans an ideal vacation spot. We are literally around the corner from Martin’s Wine Cellar a family owned business providing wine spirits, wonderful sandwiched, cakes, and deli foods.

What makes this house unique

The gracious homes and live oak trees which form a canopy spanning the wide lanes is a short two blocks away. In addition to Martin’s Wine Cellar the Cleaver & Co. providing locally sources meat is two blocks away. The French Quarter is a fifteen minute streetcar ride and Audubon Park and its world famous zoo is a quick ten minute ride in the opposite direction. Many neighborhood eateries are close by as well. Hop on over to Magazine St and you'll find over three miles of locally owned restaurants and unique shops, art galleries and antique stores. The Garden District with it’s beautiful mansions and the Layfayette Cemetery are also within close walking distance.

Beautiful Home, Fabulous vacation

Stayed in this gorgeous home with 2 other couples. It was perfect! The house was everything we expected from the photographs. The porch was delightful, had coffee there in the mornings. Nice and close to the streetcar which was a plus. Love New Orleans and hope to come back some day. Cindee was lovely to deal with 🙂

Charming house

The house is great- the perfect size for 3 couples in a great location, with easy access to restaurants and the streetcar. Safe on street parking if you have a car as well.

Also, Cindee is amazing- we were there celebrating 40th birthdays and she did us a huge favor by setting up with balloons, cake from a local bakery, candles, etc.

Everything was great and we would stay here again.

Front porch is the best ever. The location is ideal for exploring New Orleans and it has easy access to the streetcar. Very comfortable and clean accommodations in this lovely old style New Orleans home.

Beautiful & Spactacular

From the moment you walk up to the steps of this charming and elegant home you feel at ease and comfortable. Everything is here to make your stay more enjoyable. From a fully stocked kitchen that has dishes towels all the linens for the beds and toiletries such as shampoo lotion conditioner-mini more towels. It couldn’t of been more comfortable. And then while enjoying the home you can enjoy the magnificent dining room and four-year area with which is very comfortable and inviting. We had so much fun here in New Orleans in this home made it even more enjoyable.

This is my home and it is expected that it and the furnishings will be treated with respect. No parties are allowed without permission. Only paying guests are allowed on the property. This is a quiet neighborhood, loud music is frowned upon. The fireplaces/mantles and candles are very decor only. We ask that you do not use any open flames in this 110 year old wooden structure.

Liability: We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while renters/guests are on the precises. We are not responsible for the loss of any personal belongings or valuables of renters/guests.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
