Overview

About the property

2 Bedroom, Sleeps Up To 6 People

Built in 1900, this charming house was renovated in 2008 and combines turn-of-the-century charm with all the modern conveniences you would hope for in a vacation home. The house has two bedrooms and one large bathroom and comfortably sleeps up to six with the pull-out coach in the living room. All of the décor and furniture were new in 2015 as we purchased the home in January 2015 and immediately decorated with all new furnishings, linens, television, beds, mattresses, etc. If you’re looking for a wonderful blend of charm and convenience, we’d welcome you to stay at our Chipeta home. Call for rates and payment options.

The great location is a short walk (5-6 blocks) to historic downtown Main Street in Grand Junction where you will find dozens of great restaurants and shops.

The Chipeta house is located within two miles of Colorado Mesa University and is only about 6 miles to the entrance of the beautiful Colorado National Monument. The amazing red rock formations are not to be missed! You can hike the trails and travel the road across the National Monument from Grand Junction to Fruita via bike or car and see scenery that by itself makes the trip to Grand Junction well worthwhile.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, utensils, and all you need if you are inspired to cook...including a gas grill.

In order to confirm a reservation, we require a reservation/damage deposit with the signed rental agreement. We accept checks or credit card.

Comfortable, charming, good location with many amenities!

  • 5 of 5

We came to Grand Junction to visit our son who attends CMU and plays for the Men's basketball team. We stayed in the Chipeta house and absolutely loved it! The house was so quaint and comfortable with many amenities. The beds were super comfortable, and we enjoyed playing games on the nice dining table. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to make meals. We also enjoyed sitting by the fire pit with a cocktail. The house is in a great location - close to campus, downtown and restaurants. Shari was wonderful to work with and very attentive to our needs. We will definitely try and stay there again!!!!

Chipeta Home

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the stay. The location was close to old down town and the university, and was a very welcoming stay. The patio, bbq and gas fire pit were added touches.

A very comfortable and enjoyable vacation retreat.

  • 5 of 5

The Chipeta House is a very nice vacation rental. We were there for a week to enjoy some Colorado peaches and do some site seeing in locations that were relatively new to us. The house is comfortable, quiet and well supplied, it had about everything we needed (except our meals, of course) and is located well so that we could easily drive to the places of interest to us. We had a nice Polish lunch at Lake Alexander while doing a driving tour of the Grand Mesa which was nice and cool (10,000 ft) and very scenic. We also drove the Rimrock road in the Colorado National Monument which is also very scenic. Enjoyed the farmers market on Main street on Thursday evening. Took a bus tour of the peach orchards in Palisade that was very informative and enjoyed a gourmet dinner in a peach orchard on our last night. All in all, a very satisfying week and if we visit again, I will include Chipeta house in consideration for a place to stay. This is a place that will keep VRBO in your attention for vacations.
