Stay at Bonnieux

We had a great time in the very comfortable house. It had all the amenities and accessories you would like in such a holiday house. Ranging from a table tennis table to a well equiped kitchen, toys for children and comfortable and spacious bedrooms. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, great place to Enjoy out holiday.

I can only add to all the other wonderful reviews here by saying we loved this property and its location. Perfectly positioned close to two of our favourite villages, Bonnieux and Goult, it sits on a quiet country lane with views to Bonnieux and Lacoste. Such a relaxing place to return to after a day out travelling. It is so well equipped with anything and everything you could need on holiday, 2 friendly donkeys and several quiet chickens! Merci to the hosts Didier and Therese for your very friendly welcome and keeping in touch regularly to make sure we were content. We certainly were! Hope to return next year.

Beautiful

We stayed stayed for 5 weeks in April-May and had a wonderful stay. The views from the house across to Bonnieux and Lacoste are exquisite and the photos of the house simply do not do it justice. Didier and Therese went to huge efforts to make us feel welcome. We enjoyed all the space for the kids to run around outside, the chickens, the donkeys, the barn full of toys and games, the bikes, the pétanque, not to mention the very convenient location for exploring the area. We hope to be back one day!

Another Wonderful Stay

This is the second time we've stayed at this beautiful house, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. It is a charming (our guests thought so, too!), very well-appointed, clean and comfortable home. The location is perfectly situated for visiting the many beautiful villages of the Luberon. Several are reachable within thirty minutes, or less. In a beautiful valley that feels like the countryside, it still offers easy access to grocery shopping, banks, markets, petrol, and other conveniences. Evening walks were quiet and filled with natural beauty. Didier is a responsive and friendly host. We enjoyed virtually all of his recommendations for places to visit or dine in the area. He gave us privacy, and made sure to coordinate any maintenance to the property with our schedules. The chickens (and their fresh eggs) and the friendly donkeys were the cherry on top.

This house and farm gave us just the experience we were looking for. Somewhere to call home over the course of a several week stay, beauty inside and out at every turn, and easy accessibility to surrounding towns and villages in the Luberon and friends in St. Remy-de-Provence. The home was beautifully appointed, with all the tools and conveniences of daily life. The laundry room was fully stocked and easy to use... though hanging our clothes outside on the line, became a fun alternative for us, normally, city dwellers. Our French and American guests, both, were charmed by our home away from home. From donkeys to outdoor loungers to covered outdoor dining to abundant fresh air, the mas created an atmosphere in which to relax and breathe. Didier was simultaneously attentive and in the background (a great feat!), and we appreciated his pride of place and his desire to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Strongest recommendation!

Best in France

We have been lucky to stay at this property for a week last fall and another eleven nights now (April, 2018). It is simply the best vacation rental we have ever had in France. And that includes many, many rentals over the years. The house works well and provides for every need: excellent washer AND separate dryer, dishwasher, cooking facilities and supplies, bathrooms, beds. The location is spectacular, with magnificent views. The rural setting is beautiful and tranquil. The six hens provide great entertainment, with their welcoming ways. Most of all, the owners, Didier and Therese are very wondeful people, warm and determined to solve any problem. We’ve only ever encountered one problem: the internet had a glitch when we arrived this time. They could have easily given up on this, but went to great lengths to solve the problem, even while in the midst of a family 100th birthday celebration! These are the kind of people anyone would be lucky to have as friends. We are now trying to plan some trip to France just so that we can lease this beautiful house again! Thank you, Therese and Didier for sharing your beautiful home, and for your amazing hospitality!

Just what we were hoping for...!

We just loved this place! The house was spacious, clean, light - 4 full bedrooms and 2 full baths with great showers. The kitchen was a dream - we prepared several meals there with food we bought in town and at the local markets. As another reviewer mentioned, everything was very high quality, from the appliances down to the cutlery...I wanted to stay forever! It is so peaceful - I have never seen that many stars at night! We did not meet the owner Didier, but we communicated by text and telephone with no problem. Roger, who I believe lives on the premises, was there to welcome us and show us around the home. We found it with no problem using Google Maps (not sure that we would have otherwise...). We wanted a remote spot to get away, but somewhere that would be a good start for day trips around the area. Perfect! Except that we loved the town of Bonnieux so much that we didn't want to go anywhere else! All the local people were friendly and helpful, and there are great restaurants there. We especially loved l'Arome. We did make several day trips, to L'Isle sur la Sorgue (a nice town but it was pouring rain so we didn't really get to do much), Lourmarin, Menerbes and Lacoste....all very close and all charming. We loved the Friday market in Bonnieux - a great spot to pick up last-minute souvenirs and gifts, like handmade soaps, lavender sachets, gorgeous olive wood spoons, cutting boards, etc., delicious food items, and of course local cheese, bread and vegetables. We visited several wineries and tasting rooms in the area....All of us are wine lovers, and we were amazed at the value of the local wine...so delicious and so inexpensive! So yes, we loved it all! Next time we will definitely stay longer...five days in heaven was not nearly enough!

Séjour parfait

A Slice of Heaven in the Gorgeous Luberon

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the home of Didier and Therese. We stayed at the home for just over a month and the stay exceeded our expectations. First of all Didier and Threse are very welcoming, when we arrived they met us at the property, showed us around and left us some food in the fridge including a scrumptious home made chocolate cake. We also received fresh lettuce, potatoes, eggs, radishes and other items from their garden that were incredible. Didier also purchased another bike while we were there to augment his collection of bikes. He wanted to make sure my wife had a better sized bike for her frequent bike trips! They were always asking us about our stay and gave us tips on places to go and things to do. They could not have been better hosts. The location is idyllic, from the front yard area we sat outside on numerous evenings watching the pretty lights from nearby Bonnieux and LaCoste or the multitude of stars on a clear evening. Within an hour or so of the property, there are so many interesting places to visit; Roman ruins, old churches, charming villages, open air markets, hiking trails, beautiful countryside and great restaurants. Thank you Didier and Therese, your home and your hospitality are second to none. Matt and Leslie

Coin de paradis à Bonnieux

Impossible de faire une liste exhaustive des points positifs de cette belle propriété provençale dont nous garderons un souvenir impérissable. Merci à Thérèse et à Didier pour touteS leurS attentionS, nous avons rarement été si bien reçus! Quel bonheur de pousser les volets et de découvrir chaque matin ce cadre spectaculaire que l’on ne se lasse pas d’admirer. Cette magnifique ancienne ferme au milieu de la nature restaurée avec beaucoup de goût nous invite à la détente au partage au bonheur car rien n’est laissé au hasard et tout est fait pour le bien-être des vacanciers. C’est une maison idéale pour des retrouvailles familiales, les chambres sont chacune dotées de literie confortable et de vaste armoire de rangement, les 2 salles de bains sont très fonctionnelles, le salon chaleureux et confortable dispose également de jeux pour toute les générations, la cuisine est vaste et merveilleusement bien équipée, en résumé dans cette maison on se sent vraiment bien et on ne manque jamais de rien! Nous avons également apprécié, le coin repas sous la pergola abritée par les arbres qui lui confère beaucoup de fraîcheur en période de chaleur ainsi que l’espace jeu dans l’ancienne grange [baby-foot, ping-pong etc..] Notre fille a pris beaucoup de plaisir à aller chercher les oeufs frais au poulailler et a donner des carottes et des caresses aux ânes. La maison est le parfait reflet de l'extrême gentillesse de Thérèse et Didier, que nous tenions encore à remercier pour leur chaleureux accueil et leur bienveillance tout au long de notre séjour. Nous avons hâte de revenir vous retrouver et nous ressourcer dans votre coin de paradis. Hélène & famille

Vacances Magiques dans un endroit exceptionnel ou tout est réuni pour que l'on s'y sente bien !

Quel belle demeure et quel calme au milieu de la nature.... Nous avons passé de merveilleux moments en famille dans cette propriété où rien ne manque. Merci à Thérèse et Didier pour leur accueil chaleureux. Un délicieux gâteau au chocolat ... des jus de fruits ... des oeufs frais du poulailler... et même des peluches sur les lits de mes petites-filles ! Beaucoup de jeux à disposition pour tous et un immense terrain de pétanque qui à fait le bonheur des jeunes... Un intérieur propre et soigné, une bonne literie... et une grande gentillesse de la part de Thérèse et Didier pour que "leurs" vacanciers ne manquent de rien !! Perfect for families

We really enjoyed our stay. Didier and Therese were very kind and lovely and organized a small pool for our 3-years-old child. We loved to sit in the garden. There were lots of games and bicycles and a big place for playing boule. Furthermore I've never seen such a well equipped kitchen in a vacation home. If you want to buy something for breakfast, the boulangerie in Bonnieux makes delicous baguettes and croissants. You will reach them in 5 minutes by car. I can highly recommend this big house!

Le séjour à Bonnieux s'est agréablement bien passé. Parfait accueil lors de mon arrivée par Thérèse qui a pleins de bons conseils pour profiter au maximum de la région. La maison est magnifique et très fournis pour tous les loisirs. Je recommande cette maison pour 8 personnes !
