Though the owner was helpful, and we made the best of it the property just was not what we envisione
The cabin was clean, the birds were nice, but the view was not what we hoped for so we were disappointed but made the best of it. We enjoyed the birds but had thought we’d be able to see out...hills, sunset, etc, and walk trails and such. Also the drive from town was a bit of a pain. However the owner’s recommendations for restaurants was spot on.
It’s the best thing in the entire world!
THIS is the place my wife and I come to recharge our batteries, there is nothing like it! Kim is amazing as well and so hospitable!!
Beautiful escape from our hectic city lives!
Thank you so much Kim! Nick & I could not have asked for a better respite from our hectic city lives. The cottage was incredibly clean and organized. We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and the ability to hot tub in the morning and evening, and loved the outdoor shower. We sat by the fire, relaxed, laughed and visited with each other without all the intrusions of daily life. The kitchen was perfect for us to cook a lovely breakfast which we enjoyed under the trees, watching the cardinals, wrens, doves and squirrels. Driving through the trees to find the cottage was the best way to ease into relaxation and then to find such a well appointment cottage was a dream. The cottage has all the little extras from high end windows and doors, solid construction, high end appliances, lovely toiletries, cleaning supplies and beautiful bamboo sheets and bedding, and super soft, thick, plush towels. There are also 2 Japanese style Shibori robes that we wore nonstop. The Tassimo coffee was delicious! There's no TV and no clock. Awesome! There is a bloothtooth speaker that we used a little but then decided to listen to the sounds of nature instead. It's a short drive (15 minutes?) to Wimbereley which is a cute and quaint town. Kim recommended a perfect restaurant for us for Saturday night and even booked our reservation for us. I highly recommend! We can't wait to go back!!
I love to see a couple inhabit the Grove House vibe like you two did. It was a joy to have you as guests. You were so thoughtful -- thank you for leaving everything so nice and neat. Please come back. We'd like that. --Kim
WOW! My wife & I had a wonderful time staying at the beautiful Grove House!
We enjoyed the private patio and outdoor shower. We especially loved the sitting on the porch watching all the birds and enjoying the wonderful fresh air! We hope to visit again soon...
Absolutely Perfect Getaway
The Grove House was everything, and more, that my husband and I wanted for a romantic getaway! It was immaculate and tastefully decorated with every amenity we could possibly need. The grounds were also lovely and secluded. It was a short drive into Wimberley, but we preferred to stay in the majority of the time to unwind and spend time together in this gorgeous setting! The outdoor soaking tub and shower were a perfect bonus within the beautiful stone courtyard. Kim was a gracious and thoughtful host, and was so accommodating! We made such wonderful memories in The Grove House, and plan to return in the future! Thank you, Kim, for sharing a piece of your dreamworld with us!
Such a pleasure to have you two as guests and happy to hear you experienced Grove House to it's fullest. Please do come back. We'd love that.
Escape from reality
My husband and I love coming to Grove House to unwind our minds and recollect ourselves from the hustle and bustle of city-living. It gives us a chance to just be together without distractions and always brings us closer together. This is more than just a bed and breakfast or a house, it's a thoughtfully designed experience.
We turn off our phones and enjoy this little piece of heaven that feels just like ours for a few days. Just pack a bag with a few clothes and get away. You won't need to bring much as Kim has literally everything you could need. The kitchen is fully stocked all with high-end appliances; enjoy cooking on the outside grill, the stove inside, or roasting marshmallows on the fire pit on the patio. There is so much privacy, and if you've never heard absolute silence before, you will here. You can see all of the stars fully lit across the sky while showering or soaking outside underneath the moon, in total privacy. Who even needs clothes?! The bed is the stuff dreams are made of ... the rescued New Orleans claw tub in the romantically-dim bathroom is made for the lovers, the dreamers, and the romancers. The art of simply doing nothing... watching the birds, and taking in life at a little slower pace. After all, it's not how long we are here, or how busy we are -- but how we are living. A true chance to soak in life!
Don't hesitate to stay here if you need some seclusion, connection time with your S.O, a really good cup of coffee in a hot tub, or a place to meditate and take in life's simplicity. If you don't leave Grove House feeling rejuvenated, restored, and soft on the inside and out-- you did it wrong. Thank you for sharing your home with us again!
Having you two back was a joy. I love it that you so "get" Grove House for the private, rejuvenating, retreat that it is. Come back anytime--you are very welcome.
