Great cabin...well maintained...beautiful nature!
This was a great experience at lock haven. We enjoyed our stay at Frank's cabin. He is a friendly host and the cabin was very clean and well maintained. If you are looking for a getaway trip, I highly recommend this place. We enjoyed the surrounding nature. Highly recommend to visit the Hyner View State Park...incredible view! Cellphone reception might be an issue if you are not on Verizon.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Immaculate accomodations and excellent communication! Highly recommend!
If privacy and wildlife are what you're searching for, while staying in stunning accommodations, this is the place to be! While you're there, check out the 3 page write up I provided in the guest book. Excellent place to get away from it all. Great for couples and families. No cell coverage for AT&T users and no Wi-Fi, but sometimes you just need to go "off the grid".
The property was beautiful! The house was gorgeous and the surrounding woods and trails spectacular.
We wanted a get away vacation and this location was perfect. There is no WiFi which was perfect for playing games, talking, reading and relaxing. We hiked and biked and went rafting at Pine Creek. It was a phenomenal three days.
Thank you for staying I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderfully beautiful and private...
We had a lovely visit at the Outback. Even though it rained a lot, we loved the lighting and view of the forest through the amazing windows in the front. The owner was very responsive to questions and any needs that we had. It's a lovely private spot, but within easy reach of the Trading Post and a lovely little restaurant nearby called the Mountain Top Inn. It is a good hour to an hour and a half to the PA Grand Canyon...what a beautiful drive! We saw lots of deer...no bear or rattlesnake. Everything was so lush and beautiful! One caution is to know that there is no wifi available. Verizon has service, but other phone services may not work there. It was a great "getaway"....
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed your stay!
My family had a great time at Pine Creek. Very secluded and private but short drives to many state parks and fun! We went to Penn's Cave, the PA Grand Canyon, Hyner Overlook and much more. Our kids loved played in Pine Creek and biking the rail trail. The cabin had everything we need. The master bedroom was beautiful! Make sure you have verizon if you want to have any communication with the outside world as there is no land line or wifi. Thanks for having us at your Getaway!
Very nice accommodations, clean and well appointed.
The place is clean , spacious and convenient to all activities. My kids and I had a great week exploring the area, fishing, kayaking, swimming and sight seeing. Just a relaxing non commercial week away from the daily grind.
The Outback Lodge is positioned perfectly in the heart of the picturesque Pine Creek Valley bordering miles of State Game lands. A large wrap around deck welcomes you to the cabin and will be the gathering spot where many memories will be made. ATV and snowmobile trails can be accessed from the cabin and Big Pine Creek is a short drive, walk or bike ride away along with the Rails to Trails, for miles and miles of biking or hiking! The lodge is also a short drive to a local restaurant, bar, gas station and country store, the cabin sets back in the woods off the main road on its own drive for privacy.
