Budapest Beauty

This lovely apartment combines historic interest, upscale hotel luxury and modern comfort. Communication with the host could not be better, instructions are detailed and helpful. The location is fantastic, close to the river and public transportation. We absolutely loved our stay and give Dreher Palace the highest recommendation. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Great apartment close to transportation.

Well appointed and easy to travel from. Close to the river and restaurants. Subway and tram were all within brief walking distance. We stayed 10 days for sight seeing and the F1 race. There is an Aldi's grocery 100 yards ways. We would stay there again.

Enjoyed our stay a lot and LOVED Budapest!

We enjoyed calling Dreher palace our home in Budapest. The proximity to the shopping, and the bridge, and the fine hotels nearby for dining and enjoying our free time was incredible. The home was very well stocked and accommodating- loved the decor as well. But Stefano needs a good mention as well- he was incredibly easy to reach and willing to help with anything!

Great stay in Budapest

This was our second stay at Stefan's apartment. It is a wonderful place. The location is so convenient, walking distace to everywhere, close to the river, restaurants and the bridge to the Buda side. The apaetment is clean, well equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable. We had no problems at all and check in was easy. We would definately stay there again.

Family Escape

Our small family had a fabulous stay at Dreher Palace. The apartment is as good as it looks in the photographs and everything you could want is on your doorstep. It was spotlessly clean and all our needs were catered for. Although we did not meet, Stefano was extremely accommodating & looked after us from afar.

Awesome location and apartment

The apartment is located in a fabulous location. It is close to two grocery stores, the shopping streets, great restaurants, metro, buses, the river for river cruises, etc. Stefano was a great host and answered questions quickly and efficiently. The check in email he sent with all the videos was so helpful. We would highly recommend the apartment and if we ever go back to Budapest we will stay again! Thanks Stefano!

Great location

We had a great week staying here. The apartment is very comfortable and well appointed. Perfectly located for a stroll through Pest down to the river, even across the Chain Bridge. There's two Hop on Hop Off bus stops very close by, as well as the public transport bus and underground. The lift was very welcome for getting suitcases up and down. The check-in video is excellent. Several supermarkets nearby and lots of cafe restaurants to choose from. Also easy walking distance to St Stevens Basilica. Our communication with the host was excellent.

We stayed in this lovely apartment for two weeks. The building is old and historical. However, the apartment has been beautifully modernized. It is exactly as pictured-- clean and spacious. Stefano was a great host. He communicated very well, and gave us all of the info we needed to get to the apartment, and enjoy our stay there. The location is perfect! We were able to walk to the Danube, the Basilica, and many more beautiful and interesting locations. We loved the apartment, and will definitely stay there again when we return to Budapest!

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. The location is very central but the apartment is quiet. The interior is modern and functional, and it was very clean when we arrived. Check in instructions were detailed and communication with the host was always prompt.

Wonderful experience and apartment.

The apartment was very modern, had all the amenities you could want, it was close to the bridge to Buda, had grocery stores and cafes nearby, felt very safe and luxurious! Plenty of room for 4 people. We will be back again!

Great location for seeing all the sites both Buda & Pest sides. Owner was wonderful & very nice to work with. So Sorry - I forgot to start the dishwasher before checking out. :(

My friends and myself had an amazing stay at this apartment. The location was very convenient for us in the inner of Budapest, very spacious, and the photos in the ad matched the property. Also, the host was very helpful throughout our stay with great communication…. Highly recommend this place!!

Great location and lovely property

This was my first VRBO experience, so I was a little nervous but I shouldn't have been. Stefano was good about communicating how to check in to the property. He even sent a video through WhatsApp on how to do things. The property itself is a historic building but has a small elevator to assist you in getting to the 2nd floor (3rd for Americans) apartment. The pictures in the listing are accurate. You enter and the two bedrooms are off the foyer. One has a bathroom attached, the other bathroom is down a short hall to the main living space. Furniture is Ikea/danish modern and the sofa was very comfortable for afternoon naps, which my jet-lagged self appreciated. The owner has put a lot of thought into what things a guest might need/want when staying. Dishes/cooking things were adequate. There is a small nespresso machine. The WiFi worked well for us. The balconies were adorable. The location is great. There are two metro stops very close by the apartment. We used CityMapper and Google Maps to figure out metro/bus routes to various attractions. The Aldi down the street is kind of chaotic, but there are other bodegas fairly close that are better organized. The cake shop down the street (about half a block away) was my favorite in the city (we tried several). Do yourself a favor and try the chimney cake (we thought the simple vanilla was best) early in your trip rather than waiting! I (40+ YO woman) stayed in it by myself for a few days prior to my friend joining me and felt safe in the apartment and building. Things I wish I had known: Americans may be surprised at the lack of washcloths, but I think this is a universal European thing. They supply 1 towel and 1 hand towel per person where most American hotels would supply 2 towels, 1 hand towel, and at least 1 washcloth. This meant that we bought towels (5k HUF each) at the hot spring spas. Also, there is glass/paper recycling on the main floor with the trash cans, which wasn't entirely clear to us at first. If you have two people staying and each sends Stefano your travel info separately, please communicate which reservation each person's info relates to - we had a slight miscommunication about this, which we were able to clear up but we should have been more specific. That didn't occur to us until after the fact. Finally, there isn't a dryer, but the drying rack worked well for us to dry items we washed. Highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

A Lovely Oasis in the City

This apartment is truly wonderful - it is decorated beautifully and thought has been put into every detail including the stylish decor, artwork, and architectural details. It is clean and modern. All amenities are included and there is no lack of anything including a safe for your belongings. The beds are cozy and comfortable, as is the couch. Tv has a lot of channels, albeit most Italian (it would be nice to have some local channels). The apartment is calm and quiet...especially since it's in the heart of the city. There are two balconies, with chairs that overlook a side street. We didn't use the a/c for the first few days as the apt was pleasant, even in 80 F temps, but as the the temperatures rose we used the a/c and it worked very well. As for the area....it's very convenient! Numerous restaurants, grocery stores, banks, metros are close by, and you can walk to all the tourist spots and landmarks. The only hinderance is the main entrance to the building....it's on a main street with construction so it's not that pretty to look at, and the entrance would benefit from some sprucing up. However once you enter this grand building, it's wonderful! Giovanni was dependable and helpful, and I would definitely stay again!

AWESOME Place to Stay

This Vrbo was Excellent. Great location. Very convenient walking and public transportation to all the touristy sites. Plenty of room for 4 adults. The property manager was very kind and helped every time we had a question. The Rick Stevens tour book provided was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Very nice touch to have it in the apartment. We would definitely rent this again. Very good choice.

Spacious, clean, and in a great location!

We stayed at this property for 5 nights in early July 2019. Giovanni greeted us upon arrival and explained everything to do with the property and neighborhood. He was fantastic! Giving us great tips on how to make our stay even better. The property itself was spot on. Central but quiet! Our favorite features were the architecture and decor. We felt safe staying here! What an incredible stay!
