Beautiful log waterfront home
Great place and even better location. Owner was easy to deal with, friendly and returned messages promptly.
Really enjoyed waking up to the sound of loons instead of traffic or trains at home.
My wife and I, our daughter and son-in-law and there two kids had a great time and we highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking in this area. We'll stay here again.
Thanks Jim for allowing us to enjoy this great property.
Beautiful home in a very quiet location. Very roomy and comfortable for the whole family!
This home is gorgeous and spacious. Loved the deck and backyard hammock and playset for kids. The washer and dryer were a definite plus. The master bedroom is very comfortable, it is an open loft so be ready to quiet down when those using that area go to bed. This was not a problem for us. Only problem we experienced was from the neighbors one night who had a very loud party until 3am which we had to close the windows in one bedroom to block the noise, it was a warm night so we were a bit uncomfortable. Other than that and some tricky door knobs we had an amazing week. Would definitely return. Gas grill, picnic table, outdoor chairs and fire pit with a beautiful lake! The paddle boat was a blast too! The fishing was so-so, we did catch 2 big walleye and a nice pike and smallmouth. The lake seems to be stocked with baby perch! Overall fun week, beautiful setting, comfortable home, thank you!
We had such a great time here. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The place had everything we needed and we felt right at home.
Beautiful, relaxing and very clean!
We had a wonderful week's stay in the UP of Michigan! The Fish House on Brevort Lake was perfect for our family of five! It has a beautiful lake view and is in a quiet, country setting, yet close to many area attractions such as Mackinac Island, Whitefish Point and Tahquamenon Falls. We enjoyed visiting those places and then coming back to the cottage to relax and unwind. It was spacious enough for all of us. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable too. We loved having everything we needed, and especially appreciated having the washer and dryer, dishwasher and fully-equipped kitchen! I cannot say enough about how clean everything was when we arrived! I am very particular about that when we stay in hotels while travelling and I was thrilled to see how clean and nice the cottage was. There is no Wi-Fi, and our Sprint network did not work for internet connection on our phones, however, it was actually great that we didn't have it because we had so much family time! The house comes with several board games, such as Chess and Sorry, and a game table which we used many times! We brought our Uno card game and had a lot of fun sitting around the table playing while enjoying the lake view. Our son was excited to bring his telescope to enjoy the clear night sky as the cottage is in an area of very low light pollution. It was peaceful having a fire in the fire pit while he was looking at the stars. We also really enjoyed the Headlands International Dark Sky Park in Mackinaw City. Amazing place to see the stars and planets! So many cool places in the area to explore! You will not be disappointed if you stay at The Fish House! The owner, Jim, was very easy to reach when we had a few questions. We highly recommend staying at The Fish House cottage on Brevort Lake!
We truly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is furnished with everything you need, nicely decorated, & in a great location.
Annual Family Vacation. The house, property, and water were beautiful.
This was our 8th Annual Family Vacation including my husband and I, children, and grandchildren. We thoroughly enjoyed the week on Brevort Lake and were sad the week ended. We definitely will consider coming back. The rules for our vacations are that we stay in Michigan and on a Lake. This vacation choice was the best. The house was beautiful. Only drawback is that we need two more bedrooms. The hammock was so relaxing and we had campfires overnight. Thank-you Jim.
