The Appleman family lives in Minneapolis and purchased Cayman Coast Escape 15 years ago. This is a $2,500,000 property. Living in Minnesota is a great reason to own a Caribbean paradise home to share with others.
Dr. Appleman and his three children are all certified scuba divers. As a family, they have snorkeled and dove dozens of time in their backyard. The clarity is over 110 feet, with multiple walls, starting at 65 feet, 85 feet, and then the world famous 6000 foot North Wall.
Dr. Michael Appleman and Family purchased this villa in 2000
This is the only four bedroom home for rent near Seven Mile Beach. You live 15 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from Georgetown, and five minutes from world famous Seven Mile Beach. The owners travel to Grand Cayman every few months to assure sure the property is kept in stellar condition-nothing is more frustrating than staying at property that is not perfectly maintained! The owners' daughter had a wedding reception Memorial Weekend, 2014, for over 100 guests. Her picture may be found on the cover of Caribbean Bride magazine.
The Caribbean turquoise sunrises and sunsets can be viewed from the property. This is a full acre on 1000 feet of oceanfront. There is complete privacy. You are not on busy Miami Beach! You are not on crowded Waikiki Beach! This is your own oceanfront compound-your own Caribbean getaway.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Cayman Coast Escape. We love the tranquility of sitting on the screen porch with a cup of coffee or a cold beverage looking out over the ocean listening to the waves. From most of the rooms in the house there is a wonderful ocean view. This was our second stay at Cayman Coast Escape and our third to the island. We are scuba divers and take a trip or two each year with a few other diver friends. Several years ago our little group stayed and dove at Sunset House on Seven Mile beach which was fine but in no way compares to our two separate weeks at Cayman Coast Escape. November 2015 was our first stay and we dove with Cayman Marine Labs which was a fun experience. We found that eating out was very expensive. However there are several great restaurants both casual and fine dining within a few minutes of the house. For our most recent visit, November 2016, we chose to grocery shop at Fosters and take advantage of the homes very well equipped kitchen, new grill and lovely dining room. This visit we spent most of our time around the pool reading and laughing with our friends. It was a wonderfully rejuvenating week.
The home is spotless and well maintained. On Wednesday the sheets got changed and the house got cleaned. Michael the owner and Barbara the property manager are super accessible and a pleasure with which to communicate. The great thing about Cayman Coast Escape is that its so quiet and tranquil yet restaurants, bars, shopping, and groceries are just a few minutes away and you're surrounded by quality shore and boat diving. We are already planning to return.
We absolutely loved this house! It was perfect for our family. The kids (and adults!) enjoyed the pool all day while still getting an ocean view and access. It is so quiet and private! We loved feeling like we had the whole island to ourselves and not worrying about other tourists. When we did want to explore other snorkel sites or go to 7 mile beach, it was a quick 5 minute drive. We are already planning our next time back! We would highly recommend this place to anyone!
Cayman Coast Escape is a wonderful getaway private residence with luxury hotel furnishings.
This charming house and the delightful guest cabin has great ocean views and private oceanfront. It was a mere ten minutes from the airport and the world famous Seven mile beach hotel area. There is superb scuba or snorkeling on the house’s ocean side and the view from the pool at night or day is amazing.
All amenities are provided by the wonderfully accommodating owners and they strive to make your stay first class. The on-island manager and caretaker are available to call at a moments notice.
Do not miss this opportunity to have a private, ocean-side, retreat vacation.
Cayman Coast Escape is an exotic, awesome five-star plus accommodation. This was of our most memorable vacations for our family of seven (five teenagers).
My wife and I searched the internet for weeks. We found this property that had 1000 feet of private oceanfront, yet was not remote. The drive was five minutes from the airport to get to the villa- and ten minutes to world famous Seven mile beach. Foster’s Supermarket, a superb American standards grocery store, was a ten minute drive. Buy the rum cakes!
Arriving, we found a cool, air conditioned, clean villa and cottage. The Cuban and Caribbean art work and furnishings are tasteful and colorful. The owner called us on Monday to see that everything was OK-and it was.
When you first walk into the home, the panoramic view of the ocean through the French windows takes your breath away. Staying in the master bedroom, we woke up, had coffee, and pulled the curtains to own private view. Our children adored staying alone in the cottage..
The rare and impressive amenity of this home is the intimacy and privacy. The resort to the right as well as the home to the left, facing the ocean, are unoccupied. Our family of seven has never experienced such tranquility and privacy in a residence. Star gazing at night, with no distracting neighbor lights, are blinding. This is an astronomer’s heaven!
We are snorkelers and divers-and this villa was like staying at your own, private five star resort. From our backyard, we easily snorkeled and dove into the ocean. The parrot fish, brain coral, sea fans, moray eels, gigantic angel fish, and other exotic fish dictated snorkeling and diving daily. Our children also snorkeled with us from the backyard.
The two teenagers loved staying in the cottage, which was ten steps from the villa.
My wife, an avid runner, loved the runs to Cobalt Coast Resort, the bakery, horse riding stables, and Pappagallos Restaurant (3 miles). There is five miles of white sand beach to the east of the home, for sunset strolls. We were dubious of the prior 20 plus five star reviews-until we experienced our best family vacation ever. We re-booked forthwith when returned to the US.
Cayman Bay Escape was perfectly suited for our 4 couple dive club! We have been to Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Bonaire, Belize and Roatan and this was everyone's favorite spot!!! The kitchen has all the necessary equipment. The dining room, TV room and outside living space is perfect for 8 people. The pool deck is huge and we were able to lay out all of our dive gear easily to dry. THere is also an outside shower to rinse off the equipment. The bedroom with the twin beds was easily transformed into a kingsize bed and the bathroom was located just across the hallway. The other bedrooms/bathrooms were very private on either side of the house and the cottage was perfect for one of our couples. The diving off the property is first class. We saw huge Moray eels, lobster, tons of Lion Fish, and other beautiful fish, corals, sponges, sea urchins...the list goes on...The pool was lovely to sit around and watch both the sunrise and sunset. Michael was easily accessible before our trip for multiple questions. The manager, Barbara, was easily accessible by the home phone. Marcia (sp?) came twice during our week stay to wash sheets and towels and freshen up the kitchen. The island is very friendly and safe. We dove with Deep Blue Divers in town and the 15 minute drive each morning was totally worth it. Nick runs a first class dive operation and Sunny was our favorite boat captain and dive master. Nick provided an almost private boat for our group because we don't like to dive with a large number of people at the same spot. We got to swim with Fin the nurse shark and watch Sunny hunt Lion Fish and feed them to the Snapper! The Spotted Eagle Rays were magnificent, as well as the turtles. We saw lobster, huge crabs, huge Moray eels and smaller Brown eels. THe angel fish and other fish and corals, sponges were spectacular! Can you tell that I am having a difficult time finding the adjectives to describe our vacation!?! *smile* A few things to remember, supposedly your US car insurance will not cover you in GRand Cayman, so if you want insurance it about doubles the price of the car. Also, using a cell phone is very expensive...so check you plans before you arrive. Fosters or Kirks grocery were fine for shopping. The restaurants are pretty expensive so come prepared. We found the Sunshine Grill to have fantastic burgers, fish sandwiches for a reasonable price. There is also Pizza Hut and CHicken/Chicken for take out and cheaper dinner. WIFI was great!
We are two close families from Baltimore, who have traveled the Caribbean together for years. This was our first Grand Cayman trip. We each have have two adventurous adolescent children.
Our expectations for a vacation villa were far exceeded at CaymanBayEscape. The owner, Michael, gave us hints as to restaurants, water sports, scuba diving, car rental, and tennis. When we arrived, the house was meticulously clean, with friendly maids greeting us. My wife loved the kitchen in its complete set of pots, pans, and dishes-not to mention the barbecue.
Our teenagers were thrilled to be able to snorkel from our backyard (we worried if they would like the charm of being secluded). Two of the adults, scuba dove from the backyard. There is a 65ft and 85 ft wall, as well as the North Wall directly in back-what a treat! We rented tanks at Cobalt Coast, a two minute drive from the villa.
The owner, Michael, told us that they just renovated the home for their daughter's wedding reception later that month. So the pictures on the website did not do the villa and its property justice, because we found everything was freshly furnished, painted and landscaped.
Wow! The vistas from each the dining room, bedrooms, and cottage were breath-taking. Each morning, we walked down to the ocean to sip coffee, watching a sunrise-then, and during a few evenings, walked to the ocean, sipping cocktails, as we enjoyed a spectacular Caymanian sunset.
This was an awesome value for two families. We have, therefore, booked another week in January, 2015-the calendar was filling up fast-and we got a 25% discount.
