About the property

Mid century "L shaped" architectural home - with walls of glass facing pool. Walking distance to El Paseo shopping, restaurants, hiking trails and tennis courts. 2 master suites. Master Suite has king size bed and built in bunk beds.

House was designed by Architect Ross Patton who designed Frank Sinatra's Palm Desert Estate "Villa Maggio" . The house is an "L" Shaped floor plan with the living room, dining room and master suite all having glass walls overlooking the pool.

The house is a 2 bedroom with a king in the master and a queen in the 2nd bedroom. In addition, there are bunk beds built into the master bed room that each have twin size mattress. You can see one of the twin beds in our photos. There is also a toddler bed in the master bedroom as shown in the photos.

The house has polished concrete floors with accent rugs in the larger rooms.

We have tons of DVD/Blu Rays in the house for you to watch.

The house is a short drive from major attractions including Coachella, Stagecoach and Indian Wells Tennis Club.

This is a quiet neighborhood with a number of full time residents. You can walk to the shops on El Paseo, hiking trails and tennis courts. Close to Whole Foods, Traders Joe's and Vons.

This is our house not just a rental property. We care very much for it and are looking for renters who will treat it as we would. If you break something please let me know, as it is better for the next guest, and I would hate for one of my children get hurt.

The house is super cool with walls of glass and just a fun hang out place.

One of things we love about the neighborhood is it is very quiet. No one in the neighborhood puts their music up loud during the day. If you are looking for a chill place to hang out, that is our house. If you are looking for a place to party, this is definitely not the place. Palm Desert has a strict rule on no loud music between 10pm to 10am. Our Property Manager lives next door and keeps an eye (and ear) out.

We know our neighbors and they know us. They are really great about offering recommendations on places to go, things to see and places to eat. Our neighbor Brian acts as our local contact and will CHECK you in/out and be available for any questions you have.

Pool is not heated, so it will be cool in the winter. Pool can be heated for an additional charge.

No Smoking in the house

NO GLASS BY THE POOL. ANY BREAKAGE WILL RESULT IN A POOL DRAINAGE FEE

We will consider weekly or monthly rentals.

We have been coming to the desert for 10+ years and often rented from homes. We decided a few years ago to pull the trigger on a place of our own that we would enjoy with family and friends and create good memories. The house needed some TLC when we bought it but now that it is finished we love it.

Definition of mid century modern

The house stays true to its mid century roots, with all kinds of modern day amenities. It was a dream come true for us.

The owners and manger are very responsive and friendly. The location is central to everything in Palm Dessert. The house is well taken care of, and full of amenities. All kinds of cool toys and games to keep everyone of all ages entertained. We look forward to our next stay at this house!!

Perfect Upscale Getaway in the desert <3

I reached out to owners Franklin and Giselle VERY last minute. They were quick to reply, and welcomed my wife and I (and our dogs) on short turnaround!

We arrived late on a Friday. Brian, a neighbor, manages the property and had arranged for us to get in easily without bothering anyone.

The space is serene. It's not overwhelmed with furniture and is minimally and perfectly decorated. If you have kids, there's a bunk set that is a *dream* for little ones, not to mention a race car toddler bed. Sleeps more than we realized, so we even had a girlfriend come join us last minute. I'd say you could have 2 couples and 2-3 kids easily and comfortably.

The beds were comfortable and linens were clean.

The house is well stocked with seasoning/utensils and cookware. There is a gas grill by the pool, and a lovely lounge in the back yard. "Just add food" type of property, which saves a lot of trouble. The house and pool area are comfortable, too. There's pads for chairs and a couch...a daybed, etc. View of the mountains from the daybed, which is slightly raised.

If you're in to the outdoors, there's lots of hiking - and Brian can help point you to slot canyons, and unique spots to visit.

If you're in to shopping and luxury, there's a boutique row nearby with Gucci, St John, etc.

I've rented other locations where you're greeted by a manual of 'work' to do when you arrive or leave. This place was not so. They gave us minimal common-sense instructions and made our stay very simple and relaxing. Question? text Brian or the owner. They reply quickly. You are in a neighborhood but a quiet and upscale one.

This is the beginning of my love affair with this house!

peaceful place

great place to relax & get away from city noise. the house, centrally located & v close to shops & hikes, feels relatively new & the furnishings r tasteful. will prolly come again. Brian was a pleasure to deal with.

Stagecoach weekend

My boyfriend and another friend and I used the house for Stagecoach weekend. It's probably one of the nicest, mid century spots you can get close to the festival grounds. It's also very close to Target, a brand new Whole Foods and other stores for all your weekend supplies. Brian, the contact who checked us in was very nice and checked in on us a day later to make sure we didn't have any issues. Its a cute base for a weekend in the desert and also close to hiking trails. The pool area could do with some updates and cosmetic improvements but we enjoyed the space. Despite how close it is to the neighbors it was very quiet and relaxing. If having wifi or TV access is important to you, this isn't the house for you. We could not access the hot spot mentioned and needed to catch a basketball playoff game from a bar but it wasn't a big issue with our group. I'd definitely rent it again.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the good review and taking the time to write it. We are glad to hear you had a good time…sorry the weather wasn't better! I wanted to comment on a couple items in your review. 1. TV/Internet: After your visit, we finished installing High Speed Internet and Cable TV . The hot spot was a stop-gap (as we noted in our listing) to gives folks at least some limited access. I’m not sure why it stopped working during their stay but we do regret it. if you come again, we would give you a 4th night free to make up for the trouble you had. 2. Cosmetics Items around the Pool: We know the landscaping needs to be redone in back which we noted in our listing. Our landscaper is working as I type this message. I’m hoping in a month we can pull that comment from our listing once he is finished. -Franklin & Giselle
