The cabin was beautiful. Could not top the views from the porch, drinking coffee there in the morning while listening to the creek nearby and the birds and watching the beautiful view was priceless. Would definitely go back!
Thank you for taking the trouble to send in your review, we appreciate that.
We're pleased that you enjoyed the cabin so much - if you're happy, we're happy.
Now the hot weather is with us, the fireflies make a wonderful show after dark,
and guests are reluctant to stop watching their display. We know how they feel.
As there are no lights in the area, we get the full benefit of the fireflies show, and to sit outside on a warm night and watch, it's mesmerizing. No bugs at this altitude.
We look forward to a return visit from you.
Thanks again, Peter and Val.
Beautiful view, secluded, quaint cabin
Peter (and Val) and their puppies were kind and welcoming. The cabin was lovely-set with windows and a deck overlooking a mountain view-on grounds with pond and woods. About 25 minutes from Asheville, so be aware that it is a bit of a drive. The cabin itself had a warm living room with an electric stove. The bedding and furniture was basic-clean, not too fancy, but adequate if you are looking for a basic cabin in the mountains.
Quaint & Cozy Appalachian Getaway
This cabin is such a sweet little gem, tucked far enough away from the city to make you feel like you're in the wilderness, but still close enough to the amenities in Mars Hill & Asheville. Peter & Val were hospitable hosts, and had everything we could possible need ready to use in the cabin. It really felt like being home. We enjoyed hearing the history of the cabin from Peter, and getting a visit from their precious puppies. The beautiful & ever-changing view of the mountains from the living room & kitchen were ample entertainment for our long weekend. Stargazing was a hit at night, and watching the sunrise was a lovely treat in the mornings. The 'party deck' (outdoor kitchen) was a great touch, and we definitely want to come back in warmer weather to cook some meals outside. Everything about this cabin was cozy and welcoming -- we especially loved the comfy beds & sofas, the working WI-FI & cable, the book nook in the bedroom, the VHS collection, & proximity to the AT. Though there were just two of us & our dog, we could have had plenty of room for at least two more people. Thank you for being such great hosts, Peter & Val. We can't wait to come back!
Beautiful view and easy to locate.
My husband and I stayed for two days in order to attend Christmas at the Biltmore. We wished we could have stayed longer!!! The cabin was comfy and adorable. We enjoyed meeting Denby as well. Thank you!!!
Thank you Lilly,
We enjoyed having you use the Cabin, and meeting Troy and the little dogs.
Denby enjoyed playing with the larger one.
Hope Biltmore lived up to your expectations..
All the Best, Val
Perfect fall getaway
Location wise, the cabin is awesome. Asheville, Blueridge Parkway, Hendersonville... The cabin is inviting, warm and cozy. We wake up in the morning looking at the pond, the surrounding trees and mountains with wonderful fall colors. The owners of the cabin are so sweet, we had a little problem with the WiFi and Mr. Pete came and checked it for us. Everything my family needed was provided. Everything was well thought of. Our dog was just as gloriously happy to run around the big yard as we were. We hope to be back one day. Thank you!
Thank you for your very nice comments.
We enjoyed having you stay at the cabin with your family and the dog, and hope you'll come back to stay with us again in the future.
Again, thank you, Peter and Val.
amazing they had everything we needed, the view was beautiful.
