The property is on the Ground Floor and it has its OWN PRIVATE MAIN DOOR and also its OWN PRIVATE garden with outdoor furniture where guests can enjoy peaceful AND SAFE outdoor space despite being in the Centre of Edinburgh. THE PRIVATE GARDEN AND PRIVATE MAIN DOOR ENSURE THAT GUESTS CAN FEEL SAFE AND DO NOT HAVE TO ENCOUNTER OTHERS WHEN ENTERING THE PROPERTY AND RELAXING IN THE GARDEN - AS IS THE CASE IN ANY LARGE BLOCKS OF FLATS OR TENEMENTS

There is freeview television, free Wi Fi broadband connection, full size dishwasher, washer & dryer, fridge freezer, Smeg double oven and gas 4 ring hob.

Great location as walkable to most of the key landmarks in the city as well as to rugby stadium. Hosts are very nice and friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable.

We had the most wonderful Scottish hospitality from the hosts! The cottage is located in a very quite neighbourhood and only a short walk to the buzzing city centre. It has a nice homely feel, comfy beds, soft towels and complimentary welcome milk and nibble package. There is everything you may need for a short or long stay. Highly recommended!

Central Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage during our 2 week holiday. It was just right for 2 travelling sisters and contained every amenity we required. Rory and Shona were very responsive to our questions and needs before and during our stay. The best part of this cottage was the location! When we wanted to pack a small bag and venture beyond the city it was a 5-10 minute walk to the train station. The trams and buses were nearby and we could walk to Princess Street, Edinburgh Castle, a huge variety of restaurants and local grocery stores. We are hoping to return to Edinburgh in a few years and will happily book again with Shona and Rory!

Very nice accomodation

We‘ve had a short trip to Edinburgh and a wonderful stay in this cosy and very well equipped accomodation. There are short ways to Edinburgh Castle, Royal Mile and other historical points and several shopping addresses. Thanks a lot to Shona and Rory Grant for giving us this place to visit Edinburgh stressless and comfortable. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, gemütlich, sauber, hat eine interessante Geschichte und liegt fussläufig zum Edinburgh Castle, der Royal Mile und vielen anderen interessanten Punkten und den vielfältigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten der Stadt. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und bedanken uns bei Shona und Rory Grant für das herzliche Willkommen und die schöne Unterkunft, ohne die wir die Reise nicht so genossen hätten.

Gute Lage, kurzer Weg zur Altstadt, klein aber schön und historisch.

Gute Lage für die Altstadt aber mit eigenem Auto schwer zu finden und keine Parkmöglichkeit vor Ort. Wir haben eine gute Parkmöglichkeit bei Thistle- Park gefunden für den Tag, über Nacht vor Ort. Schöne Wohnung für einen Kurztrip für 4 Personen. Liegt sehr ruhig und Royale Mile ist schnell zu Fuss zu erreichen.

Sehr schöne Wohnung. Wir haben uns gefühlt wie zu Hause. Alles da was geraucht wird.

Als wir die Wohnung dann gefunden hatten (sie liegt etwas versteckt auf der Rückseite der letzten Häuserreihe) empfing sie uns gemütlich und warm. Es war alles da was wir brauchten. Im Bad gab es Seifen und Shampoo, in der Küche standen ua. Gewürze, Kaffee, Tee und Nudeln bereit. Das macht es sehr einfach auch mal was zu kochen. Die Läden in der Umgebung bieten aber auch alles um nicht großartig viel Zeit in der Küche verbringen zu müssen. Die Wohnung war sauber sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Waschmaschine, Trockner und das dazugehörige Mittel waren vorhanden. Diese Wohnung hat uns den Stadt- urlaub wirklich einfach gemacht. Die Lage ist toll. Wir konnten zu Fuß gut in die Oldtown aber noch viel schneller zur Pricesssteet gelangen. Wir waren Ende Oktober da. Trotz strahlendem Sonnenschein war es doch recht kalt. Die Wohnung empfing uns aber immerwieder schön warm wenn wir aus der Stadt kamen. Hausschuh nicht vergessen, die Böden sind kalt.

comfortable and convenient

Rory greeted us when arrived and filled us in about the cottage. Very comfortable place for two couples. Convenient to Edinburgh tourist attractions and very convenient to Haymarket station. Very well stocked kitchen. Some water pressure issues but we really liked Rosebank Cottage.

Rosy at Rosebank

This property is a beautiful cozy retreat from the bustle of Edinburgh. Exactly what we needed for two couples. Our beds were comfortable and the night was quiet and restful. It was very close (walking distance) to the shops and To the downtown tourist core. Parking was not a problem and we followed the directions for long term parking and used our feet and the buses when needed . Appreciated reading the history of the cottages. Only concern was the water pressure was not what we are used to, but it did the job.

Lovely flat

My husband and I stayed here with my daughter before she started at U Edinburgh. The flat is quiet and peaceful but convenient to the center of town on foot or by car. It’s also very well stocked for travelers and has comfortable beds. Thank you, Rory and Shona!

Excellent location. Beautiful character-filled property within walking distance of many sites in Old Town Edinburgh. We were very pleased with our choice. Lots of equipment/dish ware etc in flat. Good communication with hosts for every question. Quick responses.

Relaxing retreat at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Great place to stay to relax and unwind in the city. Easy walk to the Fringe venues. Very well equipped with high standards in all aspects. Superbly clean. Beds and bedding were high quality and super comfortable. Shame the weather was not up to much for sitting in the lovely little garden. The ad said that there was parking, but be aware this is an additional cost and can be some distance away, especially to park at a reasonable price. Rory gave great instructions where to go to park etc, but this is not quite what I expected for somewhere advertising parking. Overall would definitely book again if visiting Edinburgh. Great place. Thanks.

Beautiful cottage

We loved this property! Rory and Shona were very responsive. We accidentally broke the clothing line and they came and fixed it right away. The house was so comfortable and my kids loved playing in the garden. Would absolutely recommend this place!

Our stay in Edinburgh

The apartment was okay. Other reviews regarding the water were accurate. There were issues with water pressure and the fluctuation of hot water. The apartment could use some updating. There is a difference between rustic and the need for repair. Overall, our stay was fine but we would not stay again.

Cozy cottage

This is a lovely, cozy cottage in a quiet area. It is a short walk to most of the sights. Rory was very responsive through text messages. All appliances were available and worked well. We had a lovely time and would return if we are ever back to Edinburgh.

Super little place.

It was an excellent little two bedroom in a nice neighborhood in Edinburgh. Our host, Rory, went out of his way to cater to us and was very helpful. Well worth it.

Ideal place to stay

The home is situated in an ideal area of Edinburgh where we were capable to walk around to see the main tourist area and sites. Yet is was very quiet. The terrace house is an older building, but the heating works very well and the kitchen is new. And it was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Rory was a great help and very fast in responding. The only thing that was a little tricky is parking. But between parking on the main road and parking in a nearby parking garage we were able to get by.
