"Wow, the pictures tell the story of this oasis away form home. I had the good fortune to find this newly crafted

bungalow in Marin County, San Rafael to be exact, and it was absolutely perfect; every detail, every design feature,

from the tall ceilings, to the peaceful garden setting was exactly as promised. My hosts, Rebecca and Jeremiah, made sure everything was in place, and all I had to do was unpack my bags. The patio deck with surrounding landscaping was remarkable and idyllic setting for friends who visited. I stayed for a month. The queen bed was super comfortable, the shower and bathroom was spotless, great water pressure and the entire bungalow water system is chemical free! Easy to use flat screenTV, Wi-Fi.... and the large French doors swing out to the deck. Would I stay again? In a heartbeat. Best deal in Marin County.

Wonderful stay in this adorable bungalow!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in this beautiful bungalow. We were completely comfortable. The bungalow had everything we needed for a peaceful visit in Marin County. The neighborhood was very quiet, the bed was super comfortable, bathroom even had heated floor. The bungalow was tastefully designed and furnished, and extremely clean. We were very happy with our stay and would gladly stay there again. Thank you, Rebecca!

Great space and location

  • 5 of 5

This bungalow is centrally located with easy access to all of Marin and the surrounding wine country. The space is perfect- clean, well set up, comfortable, quiet and beautiful. Rebecca is so kind and accommodating. She's quick to offer suggestions for places to eat and things to do. We would definitely stay here again.

The place was larger than the pictures show.

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful stay. Beautiful place, with a private secluded setting in the middle of a close neighborhood. Market store, gas station,Bogie's Cafe and civic center one minute away. It was larger than what the pictures show. Also a large outdoor oasis to enjoy. The only thing I can be a little negative about is that the t.v. was programmed on roku, which is confusing for someone who lacks tech. skills. I also couldn't get the dryer to work on the combo washer/dryer unit, but that's what I get for not reading the directions. Other than that, this place was perfect for our adventures in napa and in San Francisco. I would highly recommend it!

Beautiful & Private Location with a Fantastic Host

  • 5 of 5

I have to admit that I was initially wary of the property due to its smaller size but after staying here for 3 weeks, it turned out to be a very comfortable little space. As the result of a clever layout and efficient use of lighting, the space never actually felt cramped and I utilized the deck a lot more than I anticipated. The property itself is surrounded by beautifully manicured garden and the whole space has a wonderful minimalist vibe.

Rebecca the owner, is a very pleasant and courteous person, and was proactive in ensuring that I had everything I needed. Throughout my stay, Rebecca or her husband where readily accessible but they never where intrusive and the bungalow itself is well insulated from the rest of the property. You can tell that Rebecca takes great pride in the maintenance of both the home and the bungalow but she was very conscientious about respecting my privacy.

The bungalow itself was newly built and everything within the space was both clean and functional. A nice little surprise was the heated floor in the bathroom, I always thought something like that to be a little excessive, but it really is a fantastic feeling to come out of the shower onto warm floor. The appliances were also far more functional than I anticipated. I ended up cooking for most of my stay and I never had any problems trying to make regular meal.

Rebecca does have two shelties who are both extremely friendly and well behaved (I always enjoy coming home to dogs eager to greet you) but while they were never near the bungalow itself, you would have to occasionally pass them to reach the space. It certainly never was a problem while I stayed but it might be something to consider for those who have a severe phobia to dogs. The only other nitpicky thing I can mention was that sometimes the internet would occasionally be slow, which could make things like video conferencing challenging. However, there is a xfinity hotspot that reaches into the bungalow with xfinity offering a two week promotion for new users.

Ultimately both Rebecca and the bungalow where amazing and I would whole heartily recommend this place for anyone staying in the area. Not only did it turn out to be cheaper than nearby hotels but the place truly felt like a home away from home. I spent a lot of time on the deck, lounging in the sun, and the whole place was both inviting and relaxing. A great host, an inviting space, and a great location; I really could not ask for more.
