About the property

Flat yard, Watauga river access, sun room, gazebo, fire pit, great location

Please email us to book.

Got Rocks? We sure do.. This river property is a great place for a family vacation, a quiet escape, a ski trip in the winter, or some river fun in the summer. A short drive off Highway 105, this property is a central location to all the High County has to offer. Nestled at the foot of the Grandfather Mountain, you are minutes away from the profile, but also close to larger areas like Boone and Banner Elk.

Basic amenities include Direct TV and Internet, however you may not need them in the summer as you may want to sit outside on the back deck or gazebo swing and enjoy the soothing waters of the Watauga River. Flat land is at a premium in the mountains, and this property has an acre of flat land and the yard is a great place to bring the kids to play or fish along the river. A fire pit at the edge of the yard is also available for your use, with a small creek going by that feeds into the Watauga River.

The home has been recently renovated and has been expanded to include generous decking and a sunroom. The kitchen is adjacent to the open concept family living and dining room areas. The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Master Bedroom has fantastic views of the river and has its own private bathroom.

You will enjoy this river retreat. This home is perfect for families, couples or a group of friends getting away for the weekend. There is lots to do from hiking and shopping in the summer to skiing in the winter. This location is a short 5 minute driver from Sugar Mountain Ski resort. Why stay in a small hotel room when you can enjoy the beauty of the mountains from your back deck?

**Note, this VRBO is not in Echota, if it comes up in the search that way, it is the closest listing to Boone we could select

**Property may only be available to rent with a 3-4 minimum night stay around holidays. Please inquire about dates as we will try our best to accommodate.

About Wesley Crum

Wesley & Suzanne Crum work and own the local golf and ladies apparel store in downtown Foscoe next to the Citgo gas and deli station. Their store is called Club Shop Peanuts and Golf, and is located only a few minutes from this rental.

Wesley Crum purchased this house in 2016

Why Wesley Crum chose Blue Ridge Mountains

We acquired this property in 2016 because of its excellent location and beautiful flat yard. The home itself was in need of a renovation, and with our remodel we believe you will find it the perfect mountain vacation place. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Great Stay

We had a great stay at the Got Rocks cabin! Pet friendly, and conveniently located right off highway 105 with easy access to Grandfather Mountain, and Boone.

Great get-away had by all!

  • 4 of 5

Adults, kids and 4 legged family members all enjoyed the stay. House is clean and cozy. Amenities were high quality and all provided. The gazebo, fire pit and river/creek were put to good use. Quiet lane with few cars. Great getaway. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This place was wonderful! It literally felt as if i'd traveled from my home to my home. All we needed was groceries. The setting was very comfortable. Although it is not secluded, the landscaping, trees and stream give it the feeling of being secluded. The location is excellent. Very close to Foscoe, Boone and Banner Elk. Should i visit the area again, i will be looking to stay here!

Perfect Getaway close to surrounding areas

  • 5 of 5

Got Rocks was exactly what we wanted. The creeks were breathtaking, the gazebo was relaxing and the yard was perfect for two romping pups. We enjoyed s'mores over the fire in the firepit.

The house has everything you need. While the living room is comfy, we spent our entire time on the porch, gazebo or yard. The house was clean and so cute. We had 5 adults and one baby plus 2 dogs and there was just the right amount of room. The towels and linens were soft and comfy. The appliances worked great.

Only things that might improve...there were no extra trash bags, paper towels or toilet paper, even though instructions stated that those would be available. Also, the second bed on the left side of house has a very squeaky mattress. It was impossible to turn over without making noise.

We will be back even with the squeaks.

Fantastic place!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Got Rocks! It is very conveniently located for those wanting to visit the area attractions and hiking trails. But it is also a wonderful place to stay and enjoy everything it has to offer on site -- wading streams, a picnic table outside but not too far from the house, a fire ring, two different charcoal grills, and a lovely gazebo with lawn swing. We had a wonderful time and I am sure your family will, too!

Great location

  • 5 of 5

My family truly enjoyed our stay. This property is in a great location for all activities. Even though the weather was a little wet we still managed to enjoy the nice fire pit. Will definitely keep this place in mind next trip to the area.
